This paper is an attempt to review some of the reasons which underwrite, first, philosophic and, second, political thought in ancient Greece. I begin with a review of some of the theories and laws by some of the most prominent Greek legislators, star
ting with the with the all-too-famous Iliad and the underlying political ideas which played a significant role in the thought of Greece's thinkers, particularly Plato. Then, I move to shed light on some of Solon's most important laws and their effects on political thought. Further, I considered some of the basic political problems with Pythagoreans and Sophists who both had a significant role in setting down philosophic and political theories, which later formed the foundations of Plato's philosophy, and the consequences and effects they had on philosophic thought generally and on political thought on particular.
This research deals with values through studying opinions of philosophers who consider that values are absolute ,and compare it with opinions of philosophers who consider that values are relative. Then, the research analyzes and criticizes opinions a
nd arguments of the two parts to discover their knowledge ,and ideological deep roots .
After that, it seems that philosophers who assert that values are absolute reflect conservative ideology , and want to fix social reality to serve their concerns; while philosophers who assert that values are relative reflect progressive ideology, and want to change social reality .
This research also clarifies that philosophers and thinkers of absolute values believe in absolute facts and knowledge; while philosophers and thinkers of relative values believe in relative facts and knowledge.
The article discuss the library and information specialist role in
knowledge management as a role that is not different in principle from
the traditional role in managing information. But the changes in the
surrounding environment has added new bo
rders and applications in
processing information. Knowledge is not just about documents, files and
programs that can be shared as it is based in people and group heads, this
managing knowledge is more than learning about the explicit knowledge
coming through but also selecting the required, filtering and organizing it
as well. Furthermore, the article argues the skills and understanding
required to be a good knowledge manager.
The research addressed a critical analytical study of the moral basis of scientific
knowledge from the viewpoint of the contemporary philosopher of science Karl popper,
throughout his opinion on the fact that scientific knowledge is incomplete when
not based
on cognitive approach and moral content which protect it from slipping and error, stressing
the close relationship and the strong correlation between knowledge and ethics, which if
deviated affected the standards of science as a whole.
Results showed that knowledge, generally, is everyone's right to possess, threr
resides the truth, and to reach this truth there must be many methodologies, says popper,
the most important of which is the critical approach and rational dialog, by which we
realize that the human makes mistakes and, consequently, his knowledge may be wrong,
and to access the real scientific knowledge the skeptical approach should be followed in
which the premise is tested in different ways.
Popper pointed out that the insightful human recipient can exercise these logical
operations, and the insightful human is naturaly forgivable non- fanatic, open to criticism,
non-monopolistic of knowledge and therefore the basis of knowledge is purely ethical,
without which knowledge loses its meaning and credibility.
Chemotherapy drugs cannot tell the difference between of normal cells and cancer
cells. This means normal cells are damaged and this results in side effects, This damage
does not stop in the patient who receiving treatment but also extends to all e
mployees in
the health care sitting. Nurses are the main groups that are exposed to these drugs in
hospital setting Generally, the occupational activities that pose to greatest risk of exposure
are the preparation ,Transporting cytotoxic drugs, administration of antineoplastic agents,
cleaning of chemotherapy spills, and handling of waste. Nurses require specialized
knowledge and skills in order to ensure safety for both patients life and for their own safety
of the jobs. Because of available a lot of chemotherapy guidelines we Must assess
knowledge and skills nursing staff and assess the extent of their commitment to these
guidelines.
Objective: The objectives of this study were to assessment of knowledge and skill
of oncology nurses in chemotherapy administration.
Compliance of health care workers to adhere to correct hand hygiene is reported to
be poor in many countries although the techniques involved in hand hygiene are simple.
This study yielded interesting findings regarding knowledge and behavior among
a sample
of 30 nurses in Al-assad university hospital in Lattakia. Nurses received a self administered
paper questionnaire on knowledge and practices of hand hygiene at their workplace and
were observed during their work. Only (14 %) of participants had very good knowledge
about hand hygiene, with a significant difference in the level of knowledge according to
the level of education as respondents with university degree were more likely to correctly
identify the proper way of hand hygiene compared to those nurses who have a lower level
of education. On the other hand, the overall hand hygiene compliance among nurses is
30%. Some of the key parameters associated with noncompliance have been clearly
identified. Hand washing hygiene is a cheap and primary infection control procedure.
Therefore, the study suggests some improvement by continuous education during shifts,
seminars and posters, ensuring the availability of adequate hand washing utilities like soap,
water taps, drying tissues and reducing work load to improve nurse to patient ratio.

ess
knowledge and practices of nurses for safe handling chemotherapy in latakia City.

had no knowledge that chemotherapy enter the body through contaminated foods, about
practices of them more than three quarter didn't change of personnel protective barriers
after contact with chemotherapy. also Results showed there a significant negative
association between knowledge and practices. Moreover, It is showed there a significant
negative association between practices and barriers .Most of the study sample had

introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a global epidemic and a leading cause for
increasing mortality and morbidity. Although prevention and care policies exist, diabetes
continues to be a global public health problem with serious consequences. Aim: To
assess
the educational needs on diabetes among patients, level of knowledge and patient specific
characteristics that are associated with this knowledge. Method: A descriptive study was
conducted among 50 patients who entered Tishreen university between May 2017 and
December 2017. Questionnaire on different domains of diabetes such as general
knowledge, complications, treatment, life style, symptoms and prevention. Each statement
was given a score of one if it was answered correctly and zero for a wrong answer. Out of a
total score, a score of seventy percent and above was considered good knowledge ,
between thirty percent and seventy considered moderate, less than thirty considered poor
knowledge . Results: more than half, were > 50 years (54%), (54%) were males, 46% were
female. Most of educational needs were: regarding of insulin, its kinds, sides effects,
methods of prevention of diabetic foot and care it. The level of knowledge of diabetes was
moderate 63%.
Recommendation: Awareness regarding all the aspects of diabetes mellitus needs to
be increased for better control of the disease and its complications. Future studies about
effect of education program on improvement of knowledge and self care, especially about
the diabetic foot.
