Chemotherapy drugs cannot tell the difference between of normal cells and cancer
cells. This means normal cells are damaged and this results in side effects, This damage
does not stop in the patient who receiving treatment but also extends to all e
mployees in
the health care sitting. Nurses are the main groups that are exposed to these drugs in
hospital setting Generally, the occupational activities that pose to greatest risk of exposure
are the preparation ,Transporting cytotoxic drugs, administration of antineoplastic agents,
cleaning of chemotherapy spills, and handling of waste. Nurses require specialized
knowledge and skills in order to ensure safety for both patients life and for their own safety
of the jobs. Because of available a lot of chemotherapy guidelines we Must assess
knowledge and skills nursing staff and assess the extent of their commitment to these
guidelines.
Objective: The objectives of this study were to assessment of knowledge and skill
of oncology nurses in chemotherapy administration.
The study aims to recognize the essence and the concept of
information and knowledge and its roles in societies ' development.
And it deals with the importance of information and knowledge
economy and its roles in constriction the digital gap amon
g societies,
libraries and information centers in knowledge management and filling
the cultural gap among societies.
The study inquires the knowledge management terms, the position
of Arab countries on the epistemic society map, the challenges that face
the developing countries in general and the Arab ones in particular in the
time of epistemic explosion and technological development.
According to the importance of professional preparation of libraries and information, specialists in the field of improve the profession. The researcher conducted this study to recognize the reality of libraries and information education in Damascus
University, which involves first-level university degree and high-level university degree (diploma- master-doctorate). The study contains the emergence and evolution of libraries and information education, recognizes study system and time period required to get the certificates, recognizes courses and analyze them, recognizes teachers and facilities and gives suggestions to develop libraries and information education. To achieve goals of study, the researcher used case study method as the best method in this situation. Data have been collected by a survey distributed to higher education students. Results came to adopt models to build, analyze, and evaluate courses and also to recognize the most important points of strength and weakness in libraries and information education in Damascus University. In addition of satisfaction degree of higher education students about the whole specialization.
Intellectual property laws regulate and protect the rights arising
from the design of computer programs and its production along with
its special legislation. Thus, the attack on these programs pose a
threat to those rights, which its owners did t
heir best to produce and
benefit their communities.
The crime of damaging programs and information is an IT
crime considered as a serious attacks mainly on information
property. However it's different in the case of damaging crime, as it
is not aimed at the enrichment at the expense of others, nor get the
programs of others illegally, but targets only damage, destruction
and vandalism to others property information without any
enrichment.
Widespread use of chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer has lead to higher health
hazards among nurses who handle and administer such drugs, so they should know how to
protect themselves from effects of chemotherapy. Objective of study was to ass
ess
knowledge and practices of nurses for safe handling chemotherapy in latakia City.
the data was collected by using questionnaire including demographic information
and safe handling chemotherapy knowledge and practices and barriers of personal
protective equipment . Results of this study showed there more than two to third of nurses
had no knowledge that chemotherapy enter the body through contaminated foods, about
practices of them more than three quarter didn't change of personnel protective barriers
after contact with chemotherapy. also Results showed there a significant negative
association between knowledge and practices. Moreover, It is showed there a significant
negative association between practices and barriers .Most of the study sample had
moderate level of knowledge and practices of safe handling chemotherapy. So it is
necessary that Chemotherapy Safety health education program should be instituted for all
oncology nurses who are working in oncology unit.

sectors by investing in its fundamental constituents that are manifested in education, research and development.
Through this research, we aim at showing the notions related to the knowledge economy and at the diagnosis of its practical fact in Algeria by presenting the principal challenges that faced this new type of economy and by looking for the mechanisms which must be adopted by the state in order to overcome these obstacles.
