This research deals with the study of the behavior of piles under the influence of seismic loads through (3D) modeling using FE-Method-program (ABAQUS) with special reference to the most important parameters affecting the displacements and internal f orces generated in piles. This study has been completed in two phases: the first phase is a case study of the single Pile (reference case), where a study of the behavior of a single pile assigning structure is modeled with a degree of freedom. The parametric study results show that the presence of structure causes the application of a large load in the upper part of the pile resulting from the impact of inertia dominating the kinetic effect. The forces of inertia increases with the increasing mass of structure, and when the frequency of structure nears the frequency of seismic load. The second phase deals with the study of the situation of the group of piles, where the study handles the effect of a number of piles, piles spacing, and locations on the internal force and displacements generated in the piles. The parametric study results have shown for this phase of this research that an increase the number of piles in the group causes a significant increase of internal forces generated at the top of the pile and a slight decrease for those forces in the central part of the pile, that seismic loads are not distributed equally for all piles, and that corner piles are subject to greater loads while mid. Piles are subject to less load.
The goal of the present research is to uncover the most used methods of punishment by teachers to adjust the behavior of students with intellectual disabilities: the method of corporal punishment, Time-out, the method of verbal reprimand and non-verb al, cost Response method. The aim of the research is to detect differences among teachers in the use of methods of punishment to control the behavior of students with intellectual disabilities in the light of some of the variables (sex of the teacher, the number of years of experience, academic qualifications, age, to undergo training courses). The study sample consisted of (70) teachers of students with mental disabilities. The research found the following results: 1- All teachers use the methods of punishment to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities and the methods of punishment was the order of most used to least frequently used as follows: cost response method, the method of Time-out, the method of verbal reprimand and non-verbal method, corporal punishment. 2- There are no statistically significant differences in the methods of punishment used to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities due to the variable of sex of the teacher. 3- There is no statistically significant differences in the methods of punishment used to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities due to the variable number of years of experience, except where the method of Time-out found significant differences in favor of teachers who have more experience than ten years. 4- There is no statistically significant differences in the methods of punishment used to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities due to the variable of educational qualification, except where the cost response method, and there wene statistically significant differences in favor of teachers who obtained the diploma. 5- There are no statistically significant differences in the meth ods of punishment used to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities due to the variable age of the teacher. 6- There are no statistically significant differences in the methods of punishment used to control the behavior of students with mental disabilities due to the variable of undergoing training courses.
This paper aims to calculate regular classical and complementary, so regular total Ignaczak solutions coupled with temperature field ,occupying R3 , and with vanishing stresses and temperature on the boundary.
This paper aimed to analyze the variables of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Theory of Reasoned Action as the most widely used theories in research on entrepreneurial intentions. A sample (n=406) students from Private and Public Secto r Syrian Universities was analyzed using SPSS. Results indicate that the percentage of students who prefer to start an entrepreneurial venture is higher than that of those who prefer to work for the Private or Public Sector upon graduation. Results provide strong support for the intentions of students to start an entrepreneurial venture in addition to the assumption that variables such as ; attitude towards entrepreneurship, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control affect intentions.
Compliance of health care workers to adhere to correct hand hygiene is reported to be poor in many countries although the techniques involved in hand hygiene are simple. This study yielded interesting findings regarding knowledge and behavior among a sample of 30 nurses in Al-assad university hospital in Lattakia. Nurses received a self administered paper questionnaire on knowledge and practices of hand hygiene at their workplace and were observed during their work. Only (14 %) of participants had very good knowledge about hand hygiene, with a significant difference in the level of knowledge according to the level of education as respondents with university degree were more likely to correctly identify the proper way of hand hygiene compared to those nurses who have a lower level of education. On the other hand, the overall hand hygiene compliance among nurses is 30%. Some of the key parameters associated with noncompliance have been clearly identified. Hand washing hygiene is a cheap and primary infection control procedure. Therefore, the study suggests some improvement by continuous education during shifts, seminars and posters, ensuring the availability of adequate hand washing utilities like soap, water taps, drying tissues and reducing work load to improve nurse to patient ratio.
