This research was conducted in Alkallouf village in Lattakia Province on grapevine trees belonging to local varieties Shami Abiad (Local) and Tuffahi in Vitis vinifera L. species grown on 10 years Arbor training grafted on B41 rootstock and planted in 3x3m during 2013 and 2014. And results were as follows:  The best fertility of winter eyes in Tuffahi Local variety were between 0.11 and 1.37 as an average. The tenth eye on a stock has achieved the highest economical fertility (1141.25 g) as a main for 2013 and 2014, and was significantly better than other winter eyes.  The best fertility of winter eyes in Tuffahi Local variety was tenth eye which achieved (1.24) during 2013 and 2014, were fertility was less on first eye (0.33). An eye number ten was significantly better than other winter eyes except an eye number nine which achieved (1.13) fertility.  An eye number ten has achieved the best economical fertility (the main weight of cluster 2137.75 g in two years study) followed by an eye number nine (1338.05 g). An eye number ten was significantly better than other studied winter eyes.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of storage period and fruit wrapped of two local grapes varieties (Balady and Helwany) using polyethylene bags of 50 μm thickness on some losses of grapes berry . the study estimated the weight loss p ercent, berry shatter, berry spoilage and the total losses for the varieties as a function to storage period and packing of grapes berry. Results showed that there is a high correlation between the storage period and the weight loss, berry shatter, spoilage and the total losses of fruits, where this action started after 3 weeks of the beginning of storage. The average percents of weight loss after 100 days storage were 11.75 % and 8.43% for Balady and Helwany respectively, the berry shatter percents were 6.20% and 5.52% respectively for Balady and Helwany, the spoilage percents were 9.50% and 7.20% for Balady and Helwany respectively and the total losses for tow varieties were 20.1% and 13.63% for Balady and Helwany respectively. The previous values decreased clearly by using bags of polyethylene of 50 μm thickness as follows: 9.47% and % 6.82 for weight losses, 3.10 % and 1.8% for berry shatter, 7.20% and 3.51% for spoilage and the total losses 16% and 10.1% for Balady and Helwany respectively.
This research was carried out to study the effect of summer pruning on the growth and production of two grape varieties Vitis vivifera L. Halwani and Baladdi. The study was conducted in Kadmous during 2012 growing season on two varieties of grape tre es reared on wiredraw. Seven treatments were used: 1- control, 2- shoot thinning, 3- shoot thinning and hedging, 4- shoot thinning and axillary shoot removal, 5- shoot thinning and axillary shoot removal, 6- shoot thinning and axillary shoot removal and leaf removal, 7- shoot thinning and leaf removal. Results show that hedging improves weight of cluster and berry due to the increase in fruit set percentage which leads to an increase in grape production. Shoot thinning increases TSS yet other processes have negative effects: the hedging process increases acid titration in the Baladdi cultivar but in the Halwani cultivar hedging and axillary shoot removal increases acid titration.

The field experiment was conducted Al Raqqa research station, the General Commission for Scientific Agriculture Research (GCSAR),. during the 2011/2012- growng season to compare quality traits of four monogerm fodder beet varieties, i.e. Jamon, Sp lendids, Starmon and Vermon. The experiment was run in Autumn during November and in Winter during January. Experiment was carried out in accordance with the split plot design with three replications. The results of the comparison test T-Test preference fodder beet cultivation in the autumn compared with winter, but by a small percentage in most of the quality traits. The results also showed that the monogerm variety Vermon was the best in most of the quality traits as compared with the other varieties, followed by Starmon. It was recomended to cultivate fodder beet in both autumn and winter under Al Raqqa conditions, but after conducting a complementary researches concerns the other agricultural treatments as, lifting time, plant spacing, fertilization …etc, and to test more monogerm and multigerm varieties from different sources.
The objective of this study was to study the economic characteristics of non-irrigated apples and grapes in Syria. The study depended on published and unpublished data from Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, during the period 2000 – 2014 . The data is related to the cultivated area, production costs and prices. Certain economic indicators (net income, profitability of invested SP), as well as the most important marketing indicators (marketing share, marketing margin, marketing efficiency) were estimated, to clarify the progress in the marketing process of these important crops in Syria, because the farmers are still suffered from increasing production costs and decline in their share of the price that had been paid by end consumers, in addition to their inability to sell their production.
