This study aimed to analyze the Internal determinants of Commercial bank profitability listed in Damascus Security exchange during the current crisis in Syria, To achieve that, the researcher collected data on all the listed commercial banks ,whic h their number of eleven banks and for the period 2011 – 2015. Where the expression of profitability, which represents the dependent variable in the study by rate of return on assets. While the determinants profitability included , which represents independent variables , all of the ( Bank age , Bank size, capital ratio, direct credit facilities index, credit quality, management efficiency ,Non interest income , cost efficiency, Evaluation Differences in Exchange unearned , rate of Deposits at Banks and rate of Investment in securities ).
This study aimed to examine the extent of disclosure in the annual reports of Syrian private banks for the financial year 2015. The level and extent of disclosure was examined by applying the disclosure index on the annual reports. Four dependent variable (size, profitability, financial leverage and allowance) were examined to know their effect and relationship with the level of disclosure.
This research aims to achieve production costs for all agriculture crop eggplant operations account, and analysis, and the calculation of economic returns, has been conducting the study based on 2015 prices, compared with 2010 prices, where prices and costs adoption and wages as their spending, any time of land preparation and preparation for planting down to production and marketing. And it found the results to be eggplant crop has good economic rents and achieves the following: 1. GDP (SP / acre / year) SP = 675000. 2. The total production costs (SP / acre / year) = 594 042 SP. 3. Net farm income per acre (SP / acre / year) = 641 368 LS. 4. Profit from dunum (SP / acre / year) = 81000 SP. 5. Turnover changing assets = 1.53 SP and the changing asset turnover = 240 time SP. 6. profitability coefficient: A coefficient of profitability compared to the production costs = 18.50%. B. earnings multiple relative to invested capital = 13.65%.
The medicinal and aromatic plants (thyme Khalili) is one of important economic crops were introduced to the Syrian Agriculture recently "as one of the most important alternative crops, especially" in the coastal region, The goal of research is to c larify the economic importance of agriculture thyme Khalili in the coastal region, This study was conducted on all farmers who were counted on the ground in Tartous and Latakia Governorates, there were 213 farmers ,with planted area reached to 565 acres in 2015.The indicatives of economical feasibility based on data and statements gathered from site of research and relying,were used in the economical evaluation .The study showed that the totally achieved profit per annum from one acre of (thyme khalili) amounted to 151451.81 Syrian Pounds , and profitability coefficient in proportion to the productivity cost has amounted to 283.64%, also the time indicator of capital recovery for (Thyme Khalili) has amounted to 2.82 years.
This paper aims to identify the most important internal factors may effect on profitability of Syrian private banks during the period (2009-2015). To achieve the objective of the study, Researcher study the dependent factor profitability measured by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE), and the following independent factors (Bank size, Debt ratio, owner's equity, Liquidity, Net interest, and provision of credit facilities to credit facilities ratio).
This study is based on the analysis of Syrian traditional private bank's ability to manage liquidity and profitability, especially during the current Syrian economic crisis. The study revealed that: Syrian banks are focusing on the goal of liquid ity, while it reserves on their lending policies for most extent, and the increasing of return rate for most Syrian banks is caused, due to its non-operating profits which also comes out as a result of re-evaluating of foreign currencies center. However, this study emphasizes on the importance of rising up the obligatory cash reserve that imposed on deposits. Taking into consideration the deposit types whether current or long-term. Along with imposing a higher rate on the current deposits because of its most withdrawals.
This research aims to identify the factors affecting the profitability of insurance companies operating in Syria, a contribution to assist the management of those companies to create the appropriate environment to ensure these companies to sustain and success in achieving their objectives and achieving the desired economic development. To achieve the purpose of the study, data was collected from insurance companies operating in Syria, two companies were excluded from the study, Oqaila Takaful Insurance Company because of its commitment to the principles of Islamic law, and the General Syrian Insurance Corporation because of the lack of of its financial data. The study period spanned from 2009 to 2013. For the purpose of the study data analysis was used a Panel Data model namely the pooled regression. The data were analyzed based on Eviews7. Results of the study showed that both the political crisis and investments positively affect the profitability of the company, while the leverage negatively affect the profitability of insurance companies, the company's size and liquidity, did not show an effect on the profitability of insurance companies.
the main pillar of banks, in the monetary system through which can be critical for the system to function in any country, especially in light of the rapid developments in the economic life and the importance of the role played by banks, we have th rough the study to identify the performance of the Industrial Bank of Syria during the 2011-2012 period -2013, in order to evaluate its performance and its success in the performance of its role in attracting savings and investment in a areas check the profitability of the bank, through the analysis of profitability, liquidity and credit portfolio, and to identify the most important features in the performance of the Industrial Bank and reaffirmed the correct path on the other hand, avoiding obstacles and negatives, faced, and the statement of the direct effects of the conditions and trends in the behavior of the Industrial Bank, and its current financial and legs, and stand on the strengths and weaknesses in the performance of the bank.
This research work aims at whether or not structure of board director has an immediate effect on voluntary disclosure concerning financial or non-financial data, and defining the degree of this effect. To achieve this aim, the researchers developed an index against which voluntary disclosure may be measured, in the field of study represented by eleven private Syrian banks. The researchers applied their study to the community of banks, including all banks. The study covered the last six years for each bank, starting from 2009-2014. The index consists of 32 items, divided into two subsidiary groups (Financial and non-financial data). The study adopted a strategy of testing the study hypotheses, using analysis regression method. The variant of audit committee has been adopted because the sample under study did not indicate any differences. Studying the relationship between structure of board director variables and voluntary disclosure including the index as a whole, it was found that there is a positive relationship indicating statistical remarks, between profitability variable and voluntary disclosure as a whole. The rest of structure of board director variables denoted a kind of positive partial correlation, having no statistical indications. This variable has been noticed between structure of board director variables and voluntary disclosure as a whole.
Liquidity is considered to be one of the most important subject in the banking sector because it’s the key to maintain a secure financial position and it’s the main mean to gain the customer and depositor trust, and meet any obligation that might c ome up. In this paper we study effect of the liquidity and risk on the Syrian private bank’s profitability and the nature of this effect, to achieve this object we choose ten financial ratios for a sample of ten commercial banks between 2008 – 2014. The data have been basically collected from the financial statements of the studied banks. To analyze the research data we use one of the Panel Data Models which is the Fixed Effects Model. The data have been analyzed by using EViews 7. We conclude that the liquidity ratio have a significant negative effect on the bank’s profitability. liquidity risk have a significant positive effect on the profitability ratio .
