This research aims to test the reliability of the financial failure prediction models most commonly used in determining the financial position of the insurance companies listed on the Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE). To achieve the objectives of the research has been applied models of both Altman, Sherrod and Kida insurance companies listed on the DSE, where the study included the entire research community, consisting of six insurance companies Were subjected to the results obtained through the application of the three models to the data to insurance companies studied non parametric tests in order to ascertain whether the discrepancy results of these models are essential or not. The results of the application of models (Sherrod, Altman and Kida) on data insurance companies studied showed a clear contrast between a typical Altman and Sherrod on the one hand and Kida model on the other hand, the nonparametric statistical tests showed that the differences between the three models is significant variation spirits. The research concluded that it cannot rely on these models to determine the financial position of insurance companies studied.
The Study aimed to explore the potential effect of following marketing performance indicators in achieving competitive performance in general; though, the author applied the study on group of insurance companies in Syria through distributing /110/ qu estionnaires to their employees; the study conducted some results: there is a significant effect for the marketing performance on the competitive performance, and that there is significant differences between the questioned one about their view to the marketing performance and competitive performance according to the experience.
تؤدي نظم المعلومات دوراً محورياً في تنافسية الشركات، إذ من خلالها يمكن للشركات تحقيق ميزة تنافسية عالية، خصوصاً عندما ينظر إلى المعلومات بوصفها مورداً أساسياً من موارد المنظمة. لذا حاول الباحثان تعرف تأثير نظم المعلومات بأنواعها المختلفة في مستويات ا لإبداع في شركات التأمين الأردنية المسجلة في بورصة عمان. حيث تمثلت نظم المعلومات في أنواع النظم المختلفة، في حين تمثلت مستويات الإبداع في الإبداع على المستوى الفردي، و الإبداع على مستوى الجماعات، و الإبداع على مستوى المنظمات.
This research aims to identify the factors affecting the profitability of insurance companies operating in Syria, a contribution to assist the management of those companies to create the appropriate environment to ensure these companies to sustain and success in achieving their objectives and achieving the desired economic development. To achieve the purpose of the study, data was collected from insurance companies operating in Syria, two companies were excluded from the study, Oqaila Takaful Insurance Company because of its commitment to the principles of Islamic law, and the General Syrian Insurance Corporation because of the lack of of its financial data. The study period spanned from 2009 to 2013. For the purpose of the study data analysis was used a Panel Data model namely the pooled regression. The data were analyzed based on Eviews7. Results of the study showed that both the political crisis and investments positively affect the profitability of the company, while the leverage negatively affect the profitability of insurance companies, the company's size and liquidity, did not show an effect on the profitability of insurance companies.
The aim of this research is to calculate the most important financial indicators that reflect the reality of the insurance market at the macro and micro levels in the Syrian Arab Republic, analyze the results, and make suggestions to improve the real ity of the insurance companies. The descriptive methodology / survey based on the survey was based on the study of the phenomenon (the reality of insurance companies operating in Syria) as they exist in reality and described accurately, and the statistical program of social sciences SPSS was used in the analysis of the results. The most important results were the weak contribution of the insurance sector in the GDP, where it did not exceed 1.5% until after 2012, to reach the highest value of 4.1% in 2017, mainly due to the decline in GDP during the crisis years. The most important recommendations were the need to activate the role of insurance activity in the GDP and the national economy, in addition to the need to spread the culture of insurance in the community and the definition of its importance and the positive points achieved by the clients dealing with insurance from people to companies
This study addresses the problem of profitability in insurance companies and aims to analyze and discussion the impact of liquidity and capital adequacy and debt rate of National Insurance Company. Assuming that there is impact statistically signific ant for each of the independent variables (liquidity, capital adequacy, debt rate) in the dependent variable (ROA). By using simple regression analysis to study the relationship between each dependent variable and a dependent variable and use the multiple regression analysis to study the impact of the independent variables together in the dependent variable. By using SPSS statistical analysis program. During the time from 2009 to 2016. The study showed inverse correlation but not statistically significant between (liquidity ratio and debt rate) and (ROA), and inverse correlation with statistically significant between (capital adequacy ratio) and (ROA). The most important results of this study are that the National Insurance Company has a high level of solvency to ensure the risk of failure to recover part of its funds and this ensures that no reduction in the capital adequacy ratio (margin of solvency) is less than 150%, which is the permissible limit. In addition, that the liquidity ratio increased during the period and this confirms that the National Insurance Company is work to take its investment decisions to not exposing to a financial difficulty.
