the main pillar of banks, in the monetary system through which can be critical for the system to function in any country, especially in light of the rapid developments in the economic life and the importance of the role played by banks, we have through the study to identify the performance of the Industrial Bank of Syria during the 2011-2012 period -2013, in order to evaluate its performance and its success in the performance of its role in attracting savings and investment in a areas check the profitability of the bank, through the analysis of profitability, liquidity and credit portfolio, and to identify the most important features in the performance of the Industrial Bank and reaffirmed the correct path on the other hand, avoiding obstacles and negatives, faced, and the statement of the direct effects of the conditions and trends in the behavior of the Industrial Bank, and its current financial and legs, and stand on the strengths and weaknesses in the performance of the bank.

The search discusses the importance of the finance factor especially
the banking one in the developing of Syrian industrial projects by
studying the role of Syrian industrial bank in funding the industrial
projects, its essential task into supply the industrial section.
The banking credit is the funding source of all economic sectors; it's one of the most
important services provided by banks.
This paper highlights the role of bank credit provided by traditional private banks
operating in Syria in financing the in
dustrial sector. To achieve the purpose of the study,
the sample collected consists of 11 commercial banks. The study period extended from
2006 to 2011. The study data is primarily collected from the financial statements of the
banks studied. For the purpose of the study, a Panel Data Model, the pooled regression
model, was used for data analysis. The data were analyzed based on statistical program
Eviews7.
The production function was used to examine the relationship between the banking
credit provided by traditional private banks to industrial sector and GDP for the sector
function. Results of the study showed that the banking credit provided by traditional
private banks positively affects the GDP of the industrial sector in
Syria.
Results of the study showed that both the capital employed in the industrial sector
and the private bank credit positively affect the GDP of the industrial sector in Syria, while
the number of employees in the industrial sector negatively affects the GDP of the
industrial sector.
This research aims to introduce the principles of Banking Governance, and how the
Syrian Industrial Bank, in particular, meets the requirements of Banking Governance in
the Governance’s guidebook issued by the Monetary and Credit Council, resolutio
n No.
(498) for the year 2009 at conventional Banks in Syrian Arab Republic. The results show
that there is a lack of commitment by the Industrial Bank with respect to some procedures
in the Governance's guidebook, such as the lack of commitment by the Board of Directors
in doing tasks and taking responsibilities, the absence of specialized committees for risk
management, governance, and awards, misapplying the principles of disclosure and
transparency by the Interior Control, and finally the need to increase trust and credibility
with stockholders. Hence, the recommendations proposed reflect the results obtained.

This research aims to study the real aspects of the Syrian industrial sector through the
study of its contribution to the national economy. A Study regarding the size of the
industrial contribution to the national economy is presented in this paper
, as well as the
presenting of an analysis of the contribution of both the public and the private sectors
through four key indicators, these are:
- The first indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the formation of
Syrian domestic production.
- The second indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the formation of
Syrian GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
- The third indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the operation of the
labor force.
- The fourth indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the export.
And thus it provides a set of results that reflect both the reality of the industrial sector
and its contribution to the national economy. Moreover it provides a set of proposals that
could contribute toward overcoming the causes of the sector's low performance, so it can
achieve the desired objectives.
