The following system description presents our approach to the detection of persuasion techniques in texts and images. The given task has been framed as a multi-label classification problem with the different techniques serving as class labels. The mu lti-label classification problem is one in which a list of target variables such as our class labels is associated with every input chunk and assumes that a document can simultaneously and independently be assigned to multiple labels or classes. In order to assign class labels to the given memes, we opted for RoBERTa (A Robustly Optimized BERT Pretraining Approach) as a neural network architecture for token and sequence classification. Starting off with a pre-trained model for language representation we fine-tuned this model on the given classification task with the provided annotated data in supervised training steps. To incorporate image features in the multi-modal setting, we rely on the pre-trained VGG-16 model architecture.
The objective of subtask 2 of SemEval-2021 Task 6 is to identify techniques used together with the span(s) of text covered by each technique. This paper describes the system and model we developed for the task. We first propose a pipeline system to i dentify spans, then to classify the technique in the input sequence. But it severely suffers from handling the overlapping in nested span. Then we propose to formulize the task as a question answering task by MRC framework which achieves a better result compared to the pipeline method. Moreover, data augmentation and loss design techniques are also explored to alleviate the problem of data sparse and imbalance. Finally, we attain the 3rd place in the final evaluation phase.
The purpuse of the speech whatever its type is the inflence so the speaker tries so hard to produse linguistic words that direct the reciever towards a specific action. The importance of the argumintation theory lies in the depending on the speech t echniques which the sender use in the speech .And which make his speech acceptable to the reciever. The argumentation theory started in the fields of Linguistics ,Logic ,Anthropology…etc and different other sciences. It becomes a complete theory after Perlman's researches which the scientists work on.All the analytists and researchers get benefit from in the communication and connecting theory.Relying on the speaker's techniques in achieving a successful connecting that leags to a real communication is the purpose of argumenation theory which is a still growing. And which considers the speech act theory as a scientific background.
The present study aimed to explore the degree of employment of teachers of the second cycle of basic education of modern education techniques in education from their point of view in Damascus, namely Al-Mezzeh. The sample consisted of (186) teacher s and teachers (79 teachers and 107 teachers) The study was a questionnaire by the researcher. The study reached the following results: 1- The degree of employment of modern technologies was a medium. 2-Data show technology ranked highest, followed by computer technology, followed by Internet technology. 3- There are no differences between the average score of the study sample members (males, females) in the use of modern technologies. 4- There are no differences between the average grades of the sample of the study according to the type of school (boys, girls).
Poetry is concerned with the means and techniques that characterize poetic speech from ordinary speech. It expresses poetry in an intensive manner and with several techniques that perform an aesthetic function in the way of building technology on t he one hand and its consistency with the entire text on the other hand, as well as adding to the meaning of exaggeration and influence. The first part dealt with the concept of poeticism, the second dealt with the characteristics of poetic language, and the second part dealt with the language of poeticism. Section III talks about the changes of the concept and its causes.
The purpose of this research is to know the reality of the use of educational techniques and laboratory devices in secondary vocational schools in Lattakia Governorate, The research adopted descriptive analytical method through a questionnaire con sisting of (50) words distributed on four axes, has been verified the validity and stability through appropriate statistical methods, And then applied to the study sample which consisted of (127) teachers, assistant teachers and vocational teachers in a number of vocational secondary schools in Lattakia Governorate during the second semester of the academic year (2016-2017), The most important findings of the research: -The degree of ownership of the competencies of the use of educational techniques and laboratory devices in vocational schools and the degree of use of these techniques and devices medium. -The degree of obstacles to the use of educational techniques and laboratory devices in vocational schools and the degree of requirements for the development of this use is high. - There were no statistically significant differences in the identification of the reality of the use of educational techniques and lab equipment in secondary vocational schools in Lattakia Governorate according to the variables of the place of study and the job title. - There were statistically significant differences in the possession of competencies in the use of educational techniques and laboratory devices in vocational schools and the use of these techniques and devices according to the variable training courses for those who followed one or more courses. There were no differences regarding the obstacles of using educational techniques and laboratory equipment in vocational schools. The research concluded with a set of proposals aimed at developing the use of educational techniques and laboratory equipment in vocational secondary schools in Lattakia Governorate.
The modern techniques of the information systems are considered as one of the most important tools, that most institutions, bodies and organizations working in the areas of planning and future development are seeking to use as effective analytical and technical tools for collecting and analyzing the vast amount of spatial and descriptive information and the data of the human and natural phenomena, for both planners or decision-makers, at the various stages of the planning process to cope with the urgent urban problems in addition to supporting the completion of development plans in record time and high quality, and reduce waste in energies and resources. In this context, the research displays the advanced analytical techniques and tool, and their role in whole planning processes, and identifies the methods of application of GIS systems as the most efficient and widely used system in the fields of urban planning and land use, and in developmental decisions support. Also, the research presents a practical model for the distribution of tasks within the departments and institutions involved in the planning, to introduce the information systems in their work, and highlights the most important obstacles that may face the use of those systems. The study comes up with a number of conclusions and recommendations for the potential application of advanced techniques and avoiding obstacles, which directly contribute to raising the efficiency and effectiveness of planning processes, and improving the planning process management.
This study aimed to identify the extent of using modern technologies for the purposes of scientific research by faculty members at Tishreen University, and the impact on the degree of psychological satisfaction they have. To achieve this, a random sa mple was selected of Tishreen University teachers, it consisted of 185 members. Questionnaire has been used as a tool to survey of members of the study sample after it was ascertained that the sincerity and persistence. The study results showed the low level of use of modern techniques in scientific research by faculty members at Tishreen University, and that the computer and Internet are in the front of technology most commonly used, then CDs and E-mail service came in the intermediate level, the video conference and mobile phone technique did not yet started as an assistant means in scientific research at the university. The results also show that the use of modern techniques in scientific research may help to raise the level of self-esteem among the members of the teaching staff and allow sufficient time for them to accomplish and complete the work as if their existence was optimal, in addition to that most of the sample members responses coincident with the availability of these technologies contributes also to know the results of their work and raise the level of positive appreciation by their departments, thus contributing to achieve an acceptable degree of job satisfaction, which is a form of psychological satisfaction. The findings also revealed the weakness of the technical equipment needed to conduct scientific research in the laboratories of the university, and a lack of awareness of its importance, in addition to existence technical problems accompany the (lack of regular maintenance and the lack of technicians and the necessary updates) and the lack of sufficient time for faculty members to carry out scientific research. The results showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the psychological satisfaction of the members of the teaching staff at Tishreen University due to the use of modern techniques for the purposes of scientific research variable depending on the sex and Grade and of experience years, while there were no differences according to the type faculty variable. The main recommendations of the study: equipping laboratories of faculties with modern techniques to help to conduct scientific research, and work on updated them and provide with the necessary maintenance constantly, and training the teaching staff members on how to use the techniques of scientific research.
