Objective: This study aims to determine the prevalence and severity of ECC in 3 to 5 -year children in Lattakia and the correlation of saliva pH, buffer capacity and salivary flow rate with the dental caries. Materials and methods: An epidemiological study of N = 400 children was conducted to determine the prevalence of ECC in Lattakia’s kindergartens and the association between child's gender, age and caries. The salivary tests for N = 40 children, the mean number of teeth, carious surfaces, restored and lost due to caries were measured. Results: The results indicated a high prevalence of Ecc among children (69.8%) We did not find significant differences in dmft, dmfs between children according to gender or age. The adjusted ability of saliva was high for 65% and medium for 35%. On the other hand, it was found that there is an inverse correlation between saliva pH and the studied indicators.
Decoupling the decision-making process from the data forwarding process is the heart of software-defined networks technology. One of the most important components of this technology is the controller, which is the smartest component in the network. Many of the controllers have been developed since the technology originated, and many researches have been done to compare the performance of these controllers for productivity, delay and protection. And due to the importance of selecting the appropriate controller according to different parameters and network states, we studied the performance of four controllers: Floodlight, Beacon, Nox, RYU in terms of productivity, RTT, time of establishing connection with an OpenFlow switch and the time for adding an input to the switch flow table. The results showed that the Beacon control was superior in performance when the number of switches in the network was equal to the number of processor cores used by the controller. For RTT and the time needed to add an input to the flow table, the NOX controller achieved less time. Finally, the Floodlight controller was the best in terms of establishing connection with the switch because it needed less time.
Reaction temperature and space velocity are two of the most important process variables in catalytic reforming. They affect both the octane number of the reformate and its volumetric yield. The present study has demonstrated that there is a defini te relationship between the reaction temperature and space velocity. The effect of the change in space velocity became insignificant at a temperature of 425ºC where space velocity does not seem to have an effect on the volumetric yield at a temperature of 390ºC where all lines meet. Equally, at a space velocity of 4.3 the temperature does not seem to have an effect on the volumetric yield, and the effect of temperature became insignificant at a space velocity of 4.6 .
Thousands of dams have been built around the world, but, the date of construction is associated with a history of failures and collapse, due to the high water levels, generating higher returns consequences disastrous for the environment and society , when dam fails released very large amounts of water threatened the lives of persons and property, it returns to the short time available for warning and evacuation. This paper provides an overview of the most important reasons for the collapse, with a study about possibility failure product from supposed breach in 16 Tishreen dam, caused by the flow of water over the top, where the predicted of breach that leading to collapse is done and determine its characteristics, namely: High, width, time required to development of the breach, the maximum flow out of it, and also generate flood maps that represent the limits of the spread of flood wave downstream, in addition tosuggest a simplified plan for the evacuation Results led to the flooded wave caused by the collapsehurtling loaded adischargeabout 54631 , causes a wall of water with 17 meters high moves through the downstream river with 14 m/sec speed, the wave spreadover 45.24 ,causing submerge for 7 villages the most important of it Stkhers and Rodo which are completely submerged, and 30 economical facility the most important of it industrial area that also completely submerged, the water depths ranged from 2 to 17 meter, which causing heavy casualtiesand damage about 30000 people, and more than 7000peopleare expected to die, unless the actual preparations of emergency plan.
This study describes the improvement of the reliability and effectiveness of the straight flow used in piston compressors, valves, and by modeling the flow of gas and the movement of plate valve. This model distributes the gas pressure and distorti ons plate valve as a flexible plate to be determined. This modeling test gas flow through the valve in the static measurements in addition to dynamic measurements of the end plate valve movement in the compressor has checksum where the comparison between numerical results and experimental results measured.
In this paper the network specification by logic algebra is presented then the packets are classified into reachable packets and dropped packets according to the current state of the network and flow tables of switches. The model specification is written by TLA+ language which is built on First Order Logic (FOL), and the specification is checked by TLC. This model will help the programmers to detect the network in proactive verification and prove that this configuration meets the global policy of the network.
Psychological resilience refers to the individual’s tendency to remain steadfast and composed in time of adversity and pressure in addition to his ability to be actively compatible and to cope positively with traumatic states and pressures. Conseque ntly, this is conducive to fastness in recovery and overstepping traumatic states. It also leads to the previous normal functional state, and therefore to considering the traumatic or pressing state an opportunity to empower and fortify one’s self against traumatic states and pressures in the future. The “Meaning of Life,” as an idiom, is considered one of the concepts that has attracted the interest of researchers in the field of mental health. For the human being, the meaning of life relates to its value, his self-contentment and his self-appreciation in the sense that his life revolves around and within the role that he finds himself best in acting. Frankl(1974) asserts that the meaning of life, love and identity follows the traumatic experiences that the individual encounters through his life. Bad situations are considered an opportunity for the individual to grow. To achieve this, one must have faith in the future, and without faith, there is no meaning for life or reason for living. The flow state represents the crucial factor in constituting the meaning and goal of life, and making sense and value out of it. Hence, this state pushes those who cope up with it to be creative; nay, to the highest degrees of human creativeness. This paper attempts to link the previous variables with the resilience of the Syrian Arab Army by approaching methodologically the elements of this research paper. This methodological approach depends on analyzing the literature of the subject matter by collecting and coordinating the theoretical writings and research studies in this domain, then analyzing them in order to illustrate their underlying implications, and therefore easing the task to know the secret of psychological resilience, flow, and meaning of life within the context of positive psychology. In order to excavate for this secret, one must look for the nature of these variable and its limitations, and applying them on the resilience of the Syrian Arab Army. Thus, the current paper relies on a description and explanation emanating from building a base of concepts, and the methodology here is closer to qualitative research.
This paper discusses improveming of the methods of computerized measurements by using some practical examples in the field of automation of flow, and pressure and level measurements and data logging. Tnis work has been done on an experimental station, which has been developed specifically for this paipose. It is a multi purpose station for training on automation of measuring techniques in industrial processes
This study is conducted to assess the the effect of chronic cigarette smoking on FEV1,FEF25-75 and their role in early detecting of COPD. Subjects aged 40 years or older and who smoke 10 packs per year or more (n=110) were selected, the smoking hist ories of these subjects were investigated using a self-reported questionnaire, there were 5 smokers with restrictive disease, these patients were removed because they should be referred for further lung function, Percent predicted values of measured spirometric parameters of( FEV1, FEF25-75 ) decreased significantly with increasing pack-years (p-value <0.05 for male and female ) and there was an increasing in chronic respiratory symptoms frequency, so these Indices decrease must be considered as high risk to develop COPD. According to the interpretation of spirometric results %63 smokers had normal spirometry while 37% smokers had confirmed COPD using (GOLD) severity criteria, smokers having COPD (87% male and 13% female ),these patient were divided into grades I ( 6.66%), II(17.14%), III(11.42%), IV( 1.9%).
