تم في هذا البحث التعرف على العناصر و الموارد الجغرافية المتنوعة لمملكة أوغاريت الكنعانية من
( جبال و شريط ساحلي و سهول و مناخ و أودية أنهار) و كيفية استخدامها كموارد اقتصادية و ثقافية متنوعة من قبل الإنسان الأوغاريتي, الأمر الذي كان له كبير الأثر في غنى و ازدهار المملكة و رسم هويتها, كما دلت عليها النصوص و الوثائق الكتابية المكتشفة. و قد تم تحديد أهمية بعض العناصر و المواقع التي استخدمت في الأنشطة الاقتصادية, الزراعية و الغابية, و التجارية من طرق نقل و معابر برية و مرافئ بحرية, و كذلك تلك المواقع التي استخدمت في المعتقدات و الأنشطة الدينية الأوغاريتية.
This study explore the various geographical elements and resources of the cananean
kingdom of Ugarit (mountains, costal strips, plains, river valley, climate, etc), and its
exploitation by the ugaritic man, as a diversified economic and cultural resources, which
had a great impact on the prosperity and identity of the kingdom. The study identified the
majors elements and sites exploited in economic activities such as agriculture, timber, and
commerce : passage of inland transport and harbors, and others sites exploited in ritual
activities.
