The importance of this research is the nature of the problem it handles , which is the phenomenon of Westernization (away from homeland) and its long term that accompanied the man since ancient times. It is not the product of a particular individua l, and not the result of this day and age in particular, but rooted deep in history. The concept of Westernization is one of the most difficult concepts of what is shrouded in a lot of confusion and ambiguity due to the multiplicity of areas of use. From here this research seeks to shed light on the concept of Westernization and observes subsequent transformations and their implications. It is proven that the phenomenon of Westernization, as a comprehensive human phenomenon, is more severe in capitalist societies, a result of what it results of the tremendous economic development and social change which has led to a stark machine control and material aspect in humans. Thus the capitalist system directly contributed to strengthening the feeling of alienation and Westernization, making it a consumer society that uproots man from his origin and carries a system that he has nothing to do with it. Individuals, shall be transferred to the non-conscious group, and the Westernization of the individual case turns into a general social phenomenon.
This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Food Science laboratories to isolate lactic acid bacteria from some Syrian milk products (milk, yogurt, cheese) and determine some morphological, physiological characteristic and the ability of these isolates to ferment sugars.
Isolation and identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was screened from 15 samples of Syrian oily-soils to determine the ability to produce Lipase enzyme by Cetermide Agar, Tributrin Agar and Brain Heart Broth during 2007-2008 AD. The results sho wed that there were grown colonies with color of green or yellow-green surrounded with different diameter of clear zone in three samples and the identification by Mowasat Hospital revealed that it was Pseudomonas aeruginosa In addition, the results showed that the optimum conditions to produce lipase was 35 Cº with the pH degree of 8 and the time of production of lipase with highest activity of 63.3% was three days in submerged culture during the optimum conditions. These results illustrated the important of this isolates to produce and control lipase for industrial production.
This research was conducted at the Department of Food Science, Faculty of Agriculture and National commission for posterity energy. Twenty kg of apple juice concentrate (70%) were tooked from company of Natural Aljabal Juice from AL-suidaa Govern orate and prarerd two concentarate (15% and 35%) by using distilled –sterlization water according to pirson .
Oleic acid is a fatty acid known as omega-9, which is found naturally in many plant sources and animal products and is found in the form of tri-glycerides (oleic acid esters). In this research, the oleic acid was isolated and purified with a high d egree of purity up to 99% of the fatty acids extracted from olive oil, corn oil and palm oil with a yield of at least 87% of its percentage in the oils used by the use of crystalline urea as well as crystalline selective cooling . GC-FID was also used for direct quantitative analysis of oleic acid and other fatty acids.
This research was conducted in laboratory of Nematology in the Center of Scientific Agricultural Research in Lattakia, to detection of Entomopathogenic Nematodes (EPNs) in Citrus Orchards soils in Lattakia governorate. A total of 66 composite soil samples were collected from Citrus orchards during (2016- 2017). Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) were recovered from soil samples by the insect baiting technique, using seventh instar larvae of the Greater wax moth Galleria mellonella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae). Infective juveniles (IJs) were collected from G. mellonella cadavers using the method of White (1927). EPN isolates were identified based on morphometric methods. Eight isolates were identified as Heterorhabditis bacteriophora Poinar 1976 (Ord. Rhabditida: Fam. Heterorhabditidae) . Positive soil samples ratio was 12.12% of total samples, where EPNs isolates were extracted from regions (Al-Bassa, Al-Magreet, Al-Shamia, Gio, Al-Kharnoba, Al-Sorsokia, Fideo, Borj Al-Qasab)0 The soil textures of the EPNs positive samples were (sandy loam, silt loam, loamy sand, loamy clay sand, clay) with ( pH 6.34- :0.5) and (1.99- 4.82) g\100g organic content. The electrical conductivity of the nematode positive soils varied from 0.33 to 0.82 ds/m.
