The research aims to analyze the content of geometry books in
the first stage of the basic education level according to the national standards, so the following question was answered:
To what extent geometry content in first cycle math books confor
m to national standards?
The researcher used the descriptive analytical method and built a tool to analyze the content based on national standards in geometry, then verified the trustiness and validity of this tool. The sample consisted of geometry units included in the math books. The research found:
The geometry content included in first cycle math books conformed to the national standards with a weak degree, where the matching ratio in the grades accordingly: 25.64% in the first, 41.02% in the second, 25.64% in the third, and 25.64% in the fourth.
The research aims at getting acquainted with how far pupils of the 5th and
6th grade, in the Basic Education, do read, and how often do they visit the
school library.
Within this framework, we tried to point out the factors having impact on
the v
olume of reading, starting with the family circumstances; the
parents’ work, their level of education and encouragement, and also the
school’s influence in as much as it contributes to the teacher, the director
or the book keeper in encouraging pupils to read.
An opinion poll has been conducted for this purpose on a sample of the
5th and 6th grades in the city of Damascus.
The research aimed at identifying the degree of the availability of teaching technology
adequacies among teachers (Second cycle) of basic education schools. In addition, it aimed at
identifying the degree of practicing these adequacies by teachers.

from all Biology teachers in all (Second cycle) of basic education schools and were (106) teachers

This study aimed to assessing the role of school administration in health education in basic education schools in Lattakia city. The researcher used analytical descriptive method. The questionnaire was used to collect the study data from 30 principal
s, who were chosen by using simple random sample. The findings indicated that the degree of the role of the school administration in health education in basic education schools of Lattakia city was low average as a whole is (2.42). The degree in achieving the means of health and safety was low average is (2.58), securing good environment suitable for good nutrition was low average is (2.25), and health culture was the lowest average is (2.10). Where achieving hygiene was the highest average is (2.78). This study recommended exploiting and following the applying of the health education programs. Developing the health culture programs of the school pupils and activating the role of health guide in school health field by holding seminars, training courses and sessions.
The level of practice of teachers in first sycle from basic
education to their roles about developing collecting informations
skills at their pupils from teachers, point of view.
For that a questionnaire designed consists of (30) items to
recogni
ze the level of those Practices.
After checking of its validity and reliability,it applied on a sample
consists of(237)male and female teacher of basic grade of Homs
city official schools.

recruitment of extra-curricular activities in the educational process from the point of view

The objective of the research: The aim of the research is to identify the
competencies of the teacher in the classroom in the employment of extra-curricular
activities in the educational process by defining his competencies in the planning,
implementation and evaluation of these activities from the point of view of educational
mentors. Research Questions: The main research question was what is the teacher's
competence in employing extra-curricular activities in the educational process from the
point of view of educational counselors in general? And in each axis of research.?
The research was based on the analytical descriptive approach. The research
community consisted of the educational supervisors in the Directorate of Education in
Damascus Governorate
Research tool: The questionnaire used by the researcher was used to identify the
views of the educational supervisors on the teacher's qualifications by employing extra
curricular activities in the educational process.

constructivist teaching methods by classroom teachers in the first cycle
of basic education, and to know the differences among the research
sample individuals in the degree of employing these
methods
according to the variables of (educational qualification, and years of
experience). The sample of the research consisted of (288) teachers in
the first cycle of basic education in Damascus state schools. The
sample was selected using the simple random way, and the
questionnaire of employing constructivist teaching methods (prepared
by the researcher) was applied to them after it was verified for its
validity and reliability.
