This research aims to study the effect of the organizational structure of the three
dimensions(complexity, official, central) on the effectiveness of strategic management at
the General Company of Tartous Port, To achieve this goal, a questionnaire
was developed
to achieve this goal, where the questionnaire was distributed to the research sample of
managers (at all levels), The researcher used the descriptive approachin data collection, it
was relying on statistical analysis program (spss.20) in its analysis.
The researcher found many results such: There is a positive relationship between
independent variables ( complexity, official, and central in structure) of the dependent
variable (effectiveness of strategic management), the value of the correlation coefficient
between independent variables and dependent variable 82% , and coefficient of
determination 67%, considering the port is a government company with a large volume and
subject to the laws, regulation, and strict instruction. And works in a stable environment .
The researcher recommended the need to redesign the organizational structure of the
general company of Tartous port to suit the application of strategic management
effectively, in addition the promotion of vertical and horizontal organization and informal
communications as reflected positively on the workers, and thus the effectiveness of the
organization.
The aim of the current study was to identify the nature of employees’ atvitrales (positive
or negative) attitudes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational structures of
hospitals in public and private sectors in conducting adminis
trative tasks. The study also
aimed at investigating the differences in these attitudes according to a group of categorical
variables (functional level, administrative affiliation, years of experience, academic
qualification). In order to achieve these goals, a questionnaire was designed after checking
its standard characteristics (validity and reliability), which included (25) items. The study
was applied to a sample of (400) employees, who were equally distributed within (10)
hospitals (5 public ones – 5 private ones), that were spread in different areas in Damascus
City.
This study aimed to determine the requirements and constraints of the application of
knowledge management at Tishreen University. The study area was a set of employees in
the central administration of Tishreen University. The researcher used the qu
estionnaire as
a tool to collect data, where 160 questionnaires were recovered from a total of 200
distributed.
The result of this study found an urgent requirement for the application of knowledge
management is the organizational culture, organizational structure and information
technology, in addition to a number of direct obstacles, including: lack of clarity of the
concept of knowledge management at most of the studied sample, and failure to allocate
sufficient funding to be applied at Tishreen University.
The study aims to estimate the requirements of risk management procedures effectiveness in Syrian banking sector, and exams the existence of these requirements by detecting six factors as the requirements of risk management effectiveness according to
the literature. The study used the survey method, the data was collected using a questionnaire developed according to literature review. Fifty questionnaires were send to the employees who work in risk management department in Syrian banks, but only thirty three were received back as an acceptable responses. The data was analyzed using SPSS. This paper showed that the requirements of risk management procedures effectiveness are available in some factors (support from top management, Communication, Information technology ) in banks, and they are not available in others factors( Culture, Organization structure, Training).
