We present a new form of ensemble method--Devil's Advocate, which uses a deliberately dissenting model to force other submodels within the ensemble to better collaborate. Our method consists of two different training settings: one follows the convent ional training process (Norm), and the other is trained by artificially generated labels (DevAdv). After training the models, Norm models are fine-tuned through an additional loss function, which uses the DevAdv model as a constraint. In making a final decision, the proposed ensemble model sums the scores of Norm models and then subtracts the score of the DevAdv model. The DevAdv model improves the overall performance of the other models within the ensemble. In addition to our ensemble framework being based on psychological background, it also shows comparable or improved performance on 5 text classification tasks when compared to conventional ensemble methods.
This study investigates the problems and difficulties that Syrian EFL undergraduate students face in learning English idioms. The study aims to examine the students' competence in English idiomatic expressions and their ability to predict their me anings in different contexts based on their first language transfer, and whether there is a significant difference between the participants' productive and receptive knowledge of idioms.
This research aims to show the importance of ensuring the competence of all who operate specific equipment, perform tests and/or calibrations, evaluate results, and sign test reports and calibration certificates.
The educational process at universities affected many of the physical ,human and administrative factors ,and to determine the extent of the impact of each of these factors in the educational process to reflect the efficiency, It is considered a ver y difficult process .In order to achieve output of higher education , we have to stand at the level of the educational process efficiency and performance in universities, because it is affected by many of the physical , human and administrative factors . which invited us to devise a quantitative method for evaluating and measuring the educational process efficiency and performance in school undergraduate courses. By arranging different success rates, as well as through special test success rates in the decision, and the results that were obtained: 1-Devise mathematical relationship to measure the educational process efficiency and performance through the installation of the proportion of applicants and the proportion of the general success and the success rate for in decision. 2-Devise mathematical relationship to measure the educational process efficiency and performance in courses through the test of the success rate for in decision. 3-The crisis experienced by the country has reversed dramatically and negatively educational process efficiency and performance in courses in different years, and according to the scientific departments.
The quality of the teaching process at the university are difficult to measure and determine the amount of quality, because they are influenced by many of the physical, human and administrative factors, which invited us to devise a quantitative met hod for evaluating and measuring the quality of the results the examination in the courses the university through distribution analysis Recurring of the results of each course separately and each year, either College was a theory or application, and then make a matching test for distribution with the actual distribution Recurring Recurring theoretical standard beta distribution using Chi-square test, and the results that have been obtained: 1. devise mathematical relationship to measure the quality of the examination results in university courses. 2. the expense of the quality of the examination results of some courses in some four years in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tishreen. 3. The quality of the examination results differ from the success rate.
The study included 37 cases of fractures of one or both isolated malleoluer in adult patients whose attended al-Assad University Hospital in Lattakia between 2011 and 2014. Patients' ages ranged between 20 and 75 years, the ratio of males was 54 % . Greatest range of injury in ages from 30 to 39 years old (27%) . The largest ratio of the mechanism of injury while was walking (56.8%), followed by traffic accidents (29.7%) and during sports (13.5%). Ratio of isolated malleoluer fractures is like the isolated medial malleolus (35.1%), and the isolated lateral malleolus is (29.8%). Surgically treated 25 cases (67.6%), while 12 cases were treated conservatively (32.4%). The functional results in males were better than in females, and in the younger ages were better than the older ages. The best results were in the surgical treatment by (51.3%), especially the isolated malleoluer fractures (21.6%), the best results for patients treated conservatively were in the treatment of isolated medial malleolus fracture (8.1%), while the worst results were in the isolated lateral malleolus (5.4%).
Low birth weight and premature infant need complementary treatment intervention to promote optimal clinical outcome and to decrease the immediate adversities and developmental deficits associated with prematurity and intensive care unit environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of complementary treatment program on the clinical outcome for preterm and low birth weight infant. The study was conducted at the pediatric intensive care units of AL-Assad hospital and maternal &child hospital (lattakia). The sample was divided into two groups of 20 infants experimental croup and 10 infant control croup with gestational age less than 36 weeks at birth, birth weight less than 2500g and more than 1500 g, and no congenital anomalies. The clinical outcome was significantly improved in clinical outcome, while no change in the control group. The experimental group had significantly weight gain, higher scores for awake state and motor activity than the control group. Significantly greater fidgeting or crying, and increased motor activity. The results of this study advice to apply complementary treatment therapy because its affect in improve clinical outcome. Nursing staff can use complementary treatment to promote the infant's capability to respond positively to his environment and to provide developmental support for healthy premature infants
Although complications of arteriovenous fistula infrequent, but they occur, the most important and common complications are: thrombosis, infection, stenosis vascular, bleeding, aneurysm, ischemia. It was observed that preparation and good care of AVF have an important role in reducing complications in addition to accelerate the maturation of arteriovenous fistula. Implementing A protocol of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care Contributes in preventing complications and improve the maturation of arterial venous connection. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effect of the application of the policy of nursing care on the clinical outcomes of the arterial venous connection postoperatively in patients with end stage renal disease. Goal: the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of Implementing A Protocol Of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Careon clinical outcomes in patients with end stage renal disease. Materials and Methods: the study was conducted at AL-Assad University Hospital (Lattakia), a convent sample of 20 patientsin the renal dialysis department and the Department of Surgery. Clinical results for AVF were evaluated and the results of application policy of nursing care to of AVF in the control and experimental groups after 40 days of follow-up by using tow development tools: Sociodemographic Data and Arteriovenous Fistula Assessment Sheet. Results: our results demonstrated important of application of A Protocol Of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care. It decreased the complications in the experimental group and improve maturation of AVF mostly in the twentieth day of the study, while there was complications higher and delay in the maturation of AVF to the fortieth day of the study and after in the control group, which left for routine hospital. Conclusions and recommendations: our present study results advice to apply a protocol of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care because its affect in decrease and preventing complication in addition to improve maturation of AVF on ESRD patients
The importance of this research due to the importance of the health services sector, and the importance of performance evaluation of public hospitals to see the progress of its performance towards achieving the standards and goals set at the required level , as well as a reference to the self-assessment techniques, using one EFQM model that on the one hand to assess today's performance of hospital, and situation and identify area to improve for survive, and on the other hand the map and guide of act of organizations for pay attention to effective factors, finding strong points and improve areas, down to the financial and non-financial performance indicators , and to propose appropriate measures to overcome the weaknesses in order to raise the capacity and activate services in the hospital .and to improve their performance for multiple stakeholders.
The study covered 30 cases of patellar fractures in persons who were accepted and treated surgically at Al-Assad University Hospital in Lattakia from 2008 to 2013.Ages of patients ranged between 16-70 years. Average load of clinical and radial conti nuation was six months. The smaller age of traumatism amounted 16 years and larger age 70 years; average load of age was 37.66 years. The number of traumatism in male was amounted 12 and female 18. In estimating the results, we depend on Lysholm scale scoring. Functional results were studied after 6 months and we had excellent result in 27% of cases and good results in 47% of other cases
