This research is composed of two parts: The first is theoretical and separates the
saying from the subjectification idiom with its considerable presence in criticism
surrounding the immigration space. It also explains the marks and impressions whic
h make
difference between it and the factual and artistic space. The second one is applicable. It
takes to pieces the image of Cairo Al Muiz in the journey of Al Abdari, considered as
subjectified image and also observes its subjectification move and the effective elements in
it. Its most significant result is that the immigration space has its own distinguished
character as a subjectified space that lies in moderate position between the factual and
artistic space, and expresses the age of journey, its culture, situations, emotions and also
effect of space and period in it. Cairo in Al Abdari text which has lost both its historical
sacred distance and has changed into a dismissing frightening space that it explained Al
Abdari age, its believing ideal and national enthusiasm, its desolation and estrangement of
the civilian form and its intimate tie to the space of the ego=mother space=his village
Haha.
The presence of place in Abdul-Rahman Munif's Narratives is one of the principal
characteristics of the modern Arabic Novel. We do not exaggerate to claim that the place
has changed into a central character in his prosaic works, because it represen
ts the
primordial space to all prosaic components, and it stands as the cradle of all human
existence, since it enjoys the possibility of transformation and summarizing concepts.
Part of the problem that this piece of research endeavours to disclose depends on
explaining the magnificent turbulances of place as a result of the human conduct which
does not consider the ethical and human issues quite remarkably since it aims at achieving
its totalitarian and materialistic interests at every cost.
The great shifts of place in the novel Cities of Salt emerge as the outcome of the
destructive human behaviour toward the virgin nature (intrinsically and extrinsically),
where Munif concurrently struggles to uncover the underlying psychological, sociological,
political and economic consequences that the human being of the Arab Peninsula has been
exposed to. At the same time, we conclude that the place has also left observable impacts
on mankind; henceforward, man starts complaining from alienation, disorientation and loss
of identity owing to the grand shifts manifested by the place
This research aims at handling the images of natural setting manifested in the Umayyad poetry , especially those reflected throughout the political and social changes of that era, leaving an obvious effect on the poet himself and subsequently on his
creative production and formation of the natural setting . For the poet would take his material out of the static realities of the natural setting, being the setting that has remained intact out of man's hand and formation – which includes deserts , mountains , scenery and rivers … etc – The poet then modefies an image of the natural setting using his imagination in accordance to his sights and mentality .
Many sources have urged IbnKhafajah to be so keen on woman, which had so clear
impact on his soul, and this has led him to experience love in a distinctive manner. Those
factors have overlapped with each other to form an integrated fabric, Which ha
s been
overwhelmed by the poet's passionate soul against the harbingers external reality. He hasn't
left his surroundings to escape the deteriorated political and social conditions. However, he
turned toward the depth of his soul, rebelling against those conditions and refusing them.
Throughout his artistic pictures, he has drawn his relation with woman taking from nature
his own distinctive psychological view. Therefore, woman becomes a sensory and merely
concept at the same time. He has started to gift it the most sincere and hottest emotions. So,
it has been crucial to realise the factors that which have shaped the motives of his own
experience with woman and problematic of her existence in in his poetry and his life.
IbnKhafajah's flirtatious experience and his relation with woman are to with factors
connected with political and social conditions that have distinguished his era, and others;
inner, related to his distinctive personality. These factors have helped to shape this
experience for the poet and develop and matur it.
This study shows Lubaid s vision – as a poet – for
time and place . It talks about Lubaid s point of view
for these two words. Though , we all agree that time
and place have an argumentative effect in the whole
poetry in all ages . So , if we have an analytic view
apart of the historical approach which contributes
Lubaid just as a poet but not a genius .
The description of place in the novel, Beautiful Damascus, is
associated with its creator’s cultural dimension, so he impregnates it
with his thoughts and aspirations. Place description is one based
upon interpretation. He did not describe geograp
hical places in
particular, but he intended to form them in an artistic manner which
serves his ideas. He also described place both accurately and in
accordance with the novel’s characters’ activities within that place.
Place description is linked to colour so that it can reveal their
psychological situations. He also described non-visible place
because he felt that eyesight is not alone capable of description in a
perfect way.
Cities begun in developing countries, by the earlier sixties of the 20th century, to
grow according to the world pattern away from local and locative Affiliation. Also
architectural modern international designs started to spread among its repeated
shapes and
designs. Such a thing led to important issues that affected places where it was found and
presented more issues such as the separation between western adapted patterns and
national values, and the issue of development of the Phenomenon of Globalization
architecture which is only interested in upholding formalism aspects.
Modern regionalism formed in the last few years a solution of the growing debate in
the developing countries about the situation of the architecture and urbanism, in an attempt
by the architects and planners to provide the affiliation and alignment with the place, and
in order to cope with the concept of nowhere in modern architecture using sequenced data
to provide meaning and spirit to the place. Accordingly, to reconsider the possibility of
making use of the location data of the building such as building materials, techniques,
climate and nature, as well as cultural, civilized and community heritage, including its
content of the customs and traditions and re-interpreted within the concept of modernity,
the concept that has gained a strong and comprehensive presence in the first half of the
twentieth century and that was in the aim of finding authentic formulas within modernity.
IN this research,I have First defined many issues, then I have tried to explain globalization being the out come of a self power , including its continuation. I have also shed light on the comprehensive side of globalization through the complex inter
relation among human
Beings on the cultural , individual , institutional and social level. I have tried to focus on two main points. First, Globalization is an attempt to gather the world states and their different regions in one entity , This is known as a small village. Second, I have focused on the dimensions of globalization and our awarcness of it , because this movement makes us engaged in one state , called "the global society" .
The setting in novels has captured the novelists' attention in the contemporary literary world. It was considered the link between elements of the novel. It is، after all، the setting of the events، the substantial scope in which characters move and
where all conflicts take place. Thus، the setting، with its different types، has preoccupied modern studies which examined the relation between the setting and the narrative elements، especially the character. Studies have preserved to reflect the relation between setting and character and the effect this relation has on forming the setting and giving it specific characteristics depending upon the case and the reality of the Palestinian movement. This relation between setting and character has acquired much importance due to the mutual relation between the two، to the extent that setting، in some novels، has become a basis for the events، a purpose for forming characters، and a conformation for their identity and existence. This research sheds light on setting in SaharKhalife's novels، its role in personifying the Palestinian reality، and studying its importance in the life of the Palestinian character، in addition to showing the role of description in projecting its indicative features and dimensions.
