The purpose of our study is to assess the nurse's knowledge, attitudes and practices at the hospital toward child maltreatment. The sample contains \200\ nurses who were interviewed, received questionnaires, working in emergency departments at six ho spitals distributed in Damascus, Lattakia, Tartous. Results show: Knowledge deficiency about problem particularly when scientific qualification level decreases; Knowledge was not affected by age, sex, experience range, salary. Nurses' attitudes were neutral. Attitudes were affected by experience range, scientific qualification level, knowledge level, violence through childhood, but were not affected by age, sex, salary. Most of them didn’t practice nursing care toward child violence. Nursing practices were not affected by their attitudes or violence through childhood. More than half did not receive violence through childhood. We recommend teaching nurses everything that is related to the subject, finding integration work team that can deal with violent clients at the hospital, activating the hospital's special laws which deal with violent children, searching to discover other problems from which nursing suffers.
Folk medicine is one of the most important issues that deserve studying not because it`s being scientific issue, but for being social fact that must be stopped on and study, specially for it`s becoming within the interest of a lot of cultures and s ocieties. The study aimed to identify the university students attitudes towards Folk Medicine in related with some variables: Gender, Residence, and income for the father and mother, to achieve this purpose the attitudes towards Folk Medicine test applied at a sample consisted of (228) from Tishreen University- Faculty of Nursing. The results showed: The (75,9%) from study subject showed positive attitudes towards The Folk Medicine, but only (24,1%) of them showed negative attitudes.
This study aimed at investigating fourth grade basic pupils’ attitudes towards social studies based on Marzano’s Model and to investigate the effect of sex and residence of these attitudes. For that, the descriptive method was used, and the questi onnaires’ attitudes towards classroom climate and assigned tasks was administered to the simple random sample consisted of (201) males and females pupils in Lattakia province schools. The results showed that pupils’ attitudes were positive towards their acceptance by the teacher and by their peers, order, social studies value, social studies clarity, and ability to perform social studies. There were no significant differences among Females and male` attitudes towards their acceptance by the teacher and by their peers, comfort, order, and social studies value, and social studies clarity. Furthermore, Females` attitudes towards ability to perform social studies more than males’ attitudes. In addition, Urban pupils` attitudes towards social studies clarity and ability to perform social studies more than urban pupils’ attitudes, whereas rural pupils` sense of comfort in social studies more than urban pupils’ sense. The study suggest according to these results the necessity of teaching teachers about positive classroom climate and about assigned tasks for developing attitudes towards social studies.
The study aimed to know the degree of satisfaction of students on their kindergarten prepare program, included courses, teachers and field training. And to know its impact on their trend towards the exercise of governess profession. The researchers adopted a descriptive approach. The study tool – which is a questionnaire - was distributed on a random sample of (70) students. The averages and the relative weights were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed an average satisfaction of the program in general, as well as courses, faculty teachers and field training. It’s also showed a high degree of presence of a recurrence in the content of courses. Therefore their correlation was at an average rate, but -nonetheless- they managed to develop essential skills to practice the profession in a high degree. The study results also showed a lack of statistically significant relationship between student satisfaction of courses and field training, and their trends towards the exercise of the profession. On the other hand there was a statistically significant relationship between satisfaction on the teachers of the faculty and the program in general, and their trends towards the exercise of the profession. The study recommended the necessity to work on the development of courses and field training program.
This study aims to investigate the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on the achievement of the basic tenth grade female students in Mathematics, and on their attitudes towards it. The study tries to answer the following questions: 1) what is the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on the achievement of the basic tenth grade female students in Mathematics? 2) What is the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on attitudes of the basic tenth grade female students towards Mathematics? The sample was consist of (80) students selected purposely, and distributed randomly into two groups, experimental group (40) students, and control group (40) students, to achieve the purpose of the study, two instruments were designed, achievement test, andattitudes scale. Their Validity and Reliability were verified.
The research aims to identify the teachers' attitudes towards the employment of interactive whiteboard technique learning in the educational process, in addition to revealing the extent there is a difference among teachers is attributable to the f ollowing variables: (specialty, academic qualifications, years of experience), and to achieve the research objectives the researcher used the descriptive method consisted search tools to gauge the direction applied to a sample of (44) as a teacher and school teachers both Damascene my school for the model and glamor.
This study aimed to know the attitudes of Jordanians people toward marriage for persons with sensory disabilities (visual or hearing impairment). And it aimed to Investigated the effect of some variables on these attitudes. In order to achieve the aims of this study, a scale of attitudes toward marriage for persons with sensory disabilities were used to collect data from (800) persons. The results indicated that the percentage of Jordanians people who supported marriage for persons with sensory disabilities was (82.1). Also it indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the Jordanians people in the attitudes toward marriage for persons with sensory disabilities due to Gender and Age. Also there are no statistically significant differences between Jordanians people in the attitudes due to Educational level and Existence of a disability in the individual's family).
This research aimed at recognizing the efficiency of multiple intelligences strategy in the improvement of attitudes towards social studies for fourth grade students of basic educational level in Damascus City, this study was adopted on experimenta l approach. The research tool formed of attitude scale designed by the researcher. The population of the research consisted of (177854) fourth- grade basic education students in Damascus. The research sample consisted of (72) male and female students divided into two groups: an experimental group consisted of (34) male and female students of Safia Al-qurashia school studied by multiple intelligences strategy, and a control group consisted of (38) male and female students of the same school studied by traditional manner. The findings of the study were as follows: - The multiple intelligences strategy was effective in the improvement of attitudes towards social studies for fourth grade students of basic educational level. - There were significant statistical differences between the attitudes of experimental group students in the pre and post application of attitude scale, due to multiple intelligences strategy. - There were significant statistical differences between the attitudes of experimental group students and control group students in post application of attitude scale, due to multiple intelligences strategy. Similar studies are suggested for different age stages and studying subjects.

The sample was divided into two groups: “control group,” taught using the followed traditional method, “experimental group” taught using of Cognitive Acceleration model.

To achieve the objectives of the study were developed a tool consisted o f (30) items measure students trends branched off into three areas (article content, the get the book and form, calendar). The study sample included (180) students from pupils (fourth, fifth, sixth) chosen stratified random way.
