This study aimed at investigating fourth grade basic pupils’ attitudes towards social studies based on Marzano’s Model and to investigate the effect of sex and residence of these attitudes. For that, the descriptive method was used, and the questionnaires’ attitudes towards classroom climate and assigned tasks was administered to the simple random sample consisted of (201) males and females pupils in Lattakia province schools. The results showed that pupils’ attitudes were positive towards their acceptance by the teacher and by their peers, order, social studies value, social studies clarity, and ability to perform social studies. There were no significant differences among Females and male` attitudes towards their acceptance by the teacher and by their peers, comfort, order, and social studies value, and social studies clarity. Furthermore, Females` attitudes towards ability to perform social studies more than males’ attitudes. In addition, Urban pupils` attitudes towards social studies clarity and ability to perform social studies more than urban pupils’ attitudes, whereas rural pupils` sense of comfort in social studies more than urban pupils’ sense. The study suggest according to these results the necessity of teaching teachers about positive classroom climate and about assigned tasks for developing attitudes towards social studies.

This research aims to determine the impact of educational puzzles in the academic achievement of the students of basic fourth grade in social studies, and sample search of (187) male and female students distributors into two groups: trial included ( 91) male and female students, and a control (96) pupils, has been The experimental group education according to educational puzzles while I stayed control group learn according to the usual and followed the methods by parameter, and the results proved higher than students of the experimental group in the acquisition of knowledge and information in terms of increasing the rate ratio of earnings as well as in retaining the information they have acquired and the differences statistically significant compared with the control group.
The purpose of this study is to identify some of alternative conceptions by fourth grade pupils about some scientific concepts in two terms (energy-electricity and magnetism). To achieve that, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method, and she prepared a test to identify the alternative conception; she ensured its reliability and constancy. The sample is consisted of (143) pupils in Lattakia province schools. The results showed that the sample of study has alternative conceptions about concepts of two per-terms and the percent arrived about some concepts to (91.60%). The research suggested identifying the alternative conceptions before starting learning process.
This research aimed at recognizing the efficiency of multiple intelligences strategy in the improvement of attitudes towards social studies for fourth grade students of basic educational level in Damascus City, this study was adopted on experimenta l approach. The research tool formed of attitude scale designed by the researcher. The population of the research consisted of (177854) fourth- grade basic education students in Damascus. The research sample consisted of (72) male and female students divided into two groups: an experimental group consisted of (34) male and female students of Safia Al-qurashia school studied by multiple intelligences strategy, and a control group consisted of (38) male and female students of the same school studied by traditional manner. The findings of the study were as follows: - The multiple intelligences strategy was effective in the improvement of attitudes towards social studies for fourth grade students of basic educational level. - There were significant statistical differences between the attitudes of experimental group students in the pre and post application of attitude scale, due to multiple intelligences strategy. - There were significant statistical differences between the attitudes of experimental group students and control group students in post application of attitude scale, due to multiple intelligences strategy. Similar studies are suggested for different age stages and studying subjects.
This research aims at studying the effect of using the "Harmony of Similar Smithereens " method in the achievement and trends of the students in the "Social Studies " course The researcher applies this study on a sample of fourth grade students in Damascus Elementary Basic Schools. This method is applied on an experimental group the researcher makes an achievement trading test by using the "Harmony of Similar Smithereens " method and applied it on the experimental and control group and she applies the scale of trends which she prepared towards social studies and she used the statistical analysis program to make the results.
