The objective of this research is to insist on the most important symptoms and signs of appendicitis and diagnosis in a timely manner to avoid complications and deaths. The aim of the study was to establish diagnostic criteria for acute appendiciti s in children in the light of the data obtained from the study of a large number of patients with appendicitis and to determine the surgical indication to reduce complications and negative abdominal opening and to include the studied criteria in a spec ial scale in our patients to evaluate children with acute appendicitis depending On this scale. The study included 104 children who visited the Pediatric emergency department at Al-Assad University and University Hospital and Tishreen university Hospital with a complaint of abdominal pain between 2014 and 2016. The number of male patients was 76 patients and 28 females, abdominal pain was present in all patients, The following criteria were studied (abdominal pain, abdominal tenderness, rebound tenderness, ultra sound, leukocytosis, shift to left, fever,crp). These criteria were studied to diagnose acute appendicitis and to put them in a special scale for use in diagnosis or denial acute appendicitis. In comparison with international standards, we observed that the scale studied in our study is more objective and eliminates the subjective factor in the diagnosis of appendicitis.
Background: Kid's body has major ability for remodeling and correcting all of displacement that could happened on fractures.There is many ways for treatment of these fracture,we can put them in tow guidelines: Surgical treatment, conservative trea tment. Aim: Comparison between conservative treatment result and result of surgical treatment via ESIN in treatment of midshaft forearm fractures in children, and chose the best method that achieve healing in fast time and with less complications. Methods: the study included 40 kids ,that have been chosen in random way from children that came to the ER and clinics in Alassad and Tishreen university hospitals in time between 2012 and 2017,with age of 9 to 14 years. Results: The results were similar between conservative treatment and surgical treatment via esin according to healing ,time at hospital ,and costs .time to return to daily life is shorter in surgical treatment. complications were found in two methods but there were no effect on the extremity or the child.
The research aim to identify the level of the performance Education for Kindergartens Care takers in the light of the Necessary competencies limited for them in Lattakia City, and exploration the effect the variables (educational qualification, exp erience, training courses) about in the degree of practicing the performance competencies which required for them. To achieve the object of the research a questionnaire has been included (76) methods, distributed to six areas competencies (Planning, regulation the Class-Room environment, execution, evaluation, personality, sociality), then applied to a sample of (198) Kindergarten care takers for the academic year 2016/2017. The present research used the descriptive analytical approach. Validity of the questionnaire was established though a jury of (7) of the teaching staff of educational at Damascus and Tishreen Universities. Pilot sample consisted of (36) Kindergarten care takers, Reliability was established by Cronbach – Alpha Reliability at least (0.877). The research ended up with the following results, the level of the performance Education for Kindergartens Care takers in the light of the Necessary competencies limited for them in Lattakia City was middle degree. There was no statistically significant differences in the level of the performance for Kindergartens Care takers in the light of the Necessary competencies for them according to (educational qualification, experience), while the results showed significant differences according to training courses). Among these suggestions was the application training programs for Kindergarten care takers for developing performance to raising their duality of performance, and having training courses to Kindergarten care takers.

Objective: Health care providers in emergency settings encounter emotional issues in treating traumatic dental injuries TDIs which may have a significant negative impact on the quality of life. Assessing OHRQoL of children with TDIs, in emergency, promote a shift from traditional dental management to a more supportive care that focuses on a person’s social and emotional status and physical functioning in which appropriate health care and optimal outcomes can be obtained. The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of TDIs on the quality of life of 7to16-year-old Syrian school children and to test whether treatment of TDI will improve their OHRQoL. Basic research design:A case-control study was carried out involving 147children aged 7 to 16 years attending the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Damascus University. Andreasen classification was adopted for TDI diagnosis. CPQ11-14 instrument was utilized to assess OHRQoL. Results: Findings of this study revealed significant differences in OHRQoL items before and after treatment of participating children. There were no statistically significant differences between healthy children and those who were treated with TDI in regard to the overall OHRQoL (P > 0.05). Conclusions: OHRQoL was significantly improved in children with TDIs after treatment. Oral symptoms, functional limitations, emotional and social well-being were similar to healthy children. Health professionals in Syria should put efforts to make war less damaging for children and their parents. Dentistry during the crisis goes beyond filling and drilling of injured teeth to a moral commitment within a supportive and caring context.
The aims of the research is to design a program based on the discovery learning strategy to acquisition some of the scientific concepts to the children in the age group (5-6 years), and measure the effectiveness of this program in order to reach c onclusions and proposals, stating in the development of methods to give the scientific concepts to children. Closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation is considered standard management for displaced supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children. However, controversy exists regarding whether to use pins from the lateral side or medial and latera l side of the elbow for fixation . We performed this research to know the results of two ways of treatment and to compare : 1- the risk of iatrogenic ulnar nerve injury caused by pin fixation . 2- quality of fracture reduction in terms of radiographic outcomes . 3- compare function of the elbow and other surgical complications caused by pin fixation between two ways.
