The study aims to analyze the rehabilitation program for indexers in library department, the study will shed light on the role of the information and libraries in the indexing syllabi studied and his/her indexing skills and to what extent he/she keeps pace with modern developments, the study relied in achieving its goals on the descriptive analytical filed approach to analyze the indexing syllabi studied in the department, the study revolves around indexing department at the university Damascus, and monitoring those professional development programs for indexers, the study is based on the following tools: questionnaires and content analysis, the study has reached result, the most important recommendation were calling upon the libraries and information department at the universities of Damascus to quickly initiation to re-examine at their study programs, especially in courses that address issues of technical processing of information sources due to those frequent change taking place in this area, and initiation to development their websites of the internet, that provoked for school subjects to development their performance and help student to understand their subjects.

According to the importance of professional preparation of libraries and information, specialists in the field of improve the profession. The researcher conducted this study to recognize the reality of libraries and information education in Damascus University, which involves first-level university degree and high-level university degree (diploma- master-doctorate). The study contains the emergence and evolution of libraries and information education, recognizes study system and time period required to get the certificates, recognizes courses and analyze them, recognizes teachers and facilities and gives suggestions to develop libraries and information education. To achieve goals of study, the researcher used case study method as the best method in this situation. Data have been collected by a survey distributed to higher education students. Results came to adopt models to build, analyze, and evaluate courses and also to recognize the most important points of strength and weakness in libraries and information education in Damascus University. In addition of satisfaction degree of higher education students about the whole specialization.
This study aims to identify the concept of Knowledge management as considering it as one of the new management theory that many organization trying to apply it useful of his advantage, also the aim was to identify the Knowledge procedures and cause s of return of libraries and information system to Knowledge management, in addition to identify requester of Knowledge management application in the libraries. The research design was the theory deism as most appropriate for this study. The results of this research show that there was no significant different between libraries duties, information systems, and Knowledge management procedures, also that the most important requisites of Knowledge management application in libraries was existing of three elements which are: organizational culture, organizational knowledge, knowledge management technology.
This research is a clinical survey of trauma cases that have presented to Damascus University, Pediatric dental clinic, postgraduate studies. The research studies have following objectives: A survey was preformed of the trauma cases that presented to our clinic, tables of the different classifications of fractures were prepared, total number of cases presented, distribution according to several factors, treatments offered to the patients and their success rates.
Worldwide, Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have gained a vital importance in satisfying the requirements of both the new Education System and the revised Curriculum for English Language Teaching (ELT). The experience of introduci ng different ICTs into the classroom and other educational settings worldwide suggests that teachers' effective integration of technology into their curricula largely depends on their perceptions and attitudes to the value of these tools to achieving their instructional purposes. This research seeks to evaluate the readiness to integrate ICTs into the current teaching practices of the faculty at the department of English Language and Literature at Damascus University. In a context of large classes where resources are minimal and staff members are in short supply, using technology assisted learning at Damascus University may help enhance education by giving learners more flexibility and helping them evolve into more autonomous learners. Investigating the current faculty’s reading of the value of technology as a means of overcoming some of the restrictions imposed by their context will uncover potential limitations on the use of ICTs in the existing context and suggest workable solutions.
The research aims to identify the views of the workers of the Directorate of Culture libraries in Tartous towards the use of information technology (computers and the Internet), and to achieve the objectives of the research questionnaire was develo ped and distributed to a sample of workers in libraries, and using appropriate statistical tests of the most important results: 1- Workers in cultural libraries believes that the use of information technology develops the work of libraries, which is necessary in indexing and retrieval, and organizing groups, and eliminates the role of workers, which is at the same time does not lead to the reluctance of workers, as it does not impede the work of the beneficiaries, and is essential in organizing the loan. 2- characterized the views of workers in the cultural libraries towards the use of information technology (computers and the Internet) positive nature of the increase in years of practical experience in the field of computer, high academic qualification, and follow training courses in the field of IT.
