The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between Burnout, Optimism and Support from Management in some Applied and Theoretical Faculties in a sample of teachers at Tishreen University. The sample consists of120 teachers, who were recruited from some Applied Faculties (Economy, Sciences, Civil Engineering, Electrical and mechanical engineering, and Pharmacy) and from some Theoretical Faculties (Education, Jura and Literatures). The study aims at defining the reality of educational-management crisis which faces Tishreen University from the view point of the staff and administrative members and at defining the differences in the administrative methods of crisis-management acc ording to these variables (the scientific qualification, the experience, the faculty, and the sort of job). In addition to some suggestions concerning the best Administrative methods of Crisis-management at Tishreen University, and to achieve the objectives of this research, a questionnaire has been applied on a sample of (278) individuals during the academic year of (2014 - 2015). It consisted of (52) statements distributed into five sections (planning of educational management, the process of communication during the crisis, the importance of information in crisis-management, the financial and human abilities which are variable to Crisis management, and the extent of works credibility and their belonging to the University). The validity of the questionnaire was approved depending on some specializers and experts in both the education and economics faculties at Tishreen University. There were (9) referees, the total reliability factor was (0.755). The result of the research proved that the crisis-management at the University was of an average level in addition to statistical significant difference concerning the degree of crisis-management according to the variable of the scientific qualification. It also showed no statistical significant difference according to the variables of experience, the faculty, and the sort of job. The researcher suggested preparing training sessions and specialized workshops in crisis-management at the University to raise some awareness about it.
This research aimed to determine the order of Tishreen University colleges in term of satisfaction with the faculty members, and to determine whether that satisfaction affected by variables: (gender, University Specialization, and the collage year) , using the "satisfaction with the faculty members " scale. A total of (749) undergraduate from Tishreen University students in all faculties, participated in this research. Search results are summarized as follows: faculties of economics and physical education and dentistry have got at the highest averages in the ranking of colleges by satisfaction with the teaching staff, while the faculties of Architecture and Literature and Sciences have got at the lower averages. and there were a differences among the members of the research sample in the scale according to the gender variable in favor of females, and there were a differences according to the collage year variable, and there were no differences according to University Specialization variable.
The Research aimed to identify the Opinions of Teaching Staff in the Faculty of Education at Tishreen University About the Reality of Educational Researches (importance, realization, and its activation ways). and to define the differences in this Opinions according to these variables (department, academic rank, and, experience). This research aims to reveal the extent of the manifestationspsychological alienation among university youth, and the effect of gender, marital status and accommodation on the level of psychological alienation phenomenon. This research was applied on (110) university students from Tishreen University. To achieve this goal the following tool was used: psychological alienation scale by the researcher after reviewing the previous studies, the scale includes (Normlessness, Powerlessness, Aimlessness, Meaninglessness) dimensions. The results showed thatThe most prevalent manifestations of psychological alienation was normlessness, followed by powerlessness, then aimlessness, and finally meaninglessness. the prevalence of psychological alienation phenomenon among university students is by (57.27%). The results didn't show statistically significant differences between the study sample in the level of psychological alienation phenomenon according to gender, marital status, and accommodation variables.
This study aimed to identify the extent of using modern technologies for the purposes of scientific research by faculty members at Tishreen University, and the impact on the degree of psychological satisfaction they have. To achieve this, a random sa mple was selected of Tishreen University teachers, it consisted of 185 members. Questionnaire has been used as a tool to survey of members of the study sample after it was ascertained that the sincerity and persistence. The study results showed the low level of use of modern techniques in scientific research by faculty members at Tishreen University, and that the computer and Internet are in the front of technology most commonly used, then CDs and E-mail service came in the intermediate level, the video conference and mobile phone technique did not yet started as an assistant means in scientific research at the university. The results also show that the use of modern techniques in scientific research may help to raise the level of self-esteem among the members of the teaching staff and allow sufficient time for them to accomplish and complete the work as if their existence was optimal, in addition to that most of the sample members responses coincident with the availability of these technologies contributes also to know the results of their work and raise the level of positive appreciation by their departments, thus contributing to achieve an acceptable degree of job satisfaction, which is a form of psychological satisfaction. The findings also revealed the weakness of the technical equipment needed to conduct scientific research in the laboratories of the university, and a lack of awareness of its importance, in addition to existence technical problems accompany the (lack of regular maintenance and the lack of technicians and the necessary updates) and the lack of sufficient time for faculty members to carry out scientific research. The results showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the psychological satisfaction of the members of the teaching staff at Tishreen University due to the use of modern techniques for the purposes of scientific research variable depending on the sex and Grade and of experience years, while there were no differences according to the type faculty variable. The main recommendations of the study: equipping laboratories of faculties with modern techniques to help to conduct scientific research, and work on updated them and provide with the necessary maintenance constantly, and training the teaching staff members on how to use the techniques of scientific research.
