This study aimed to identify the professional psychological pressures on a sample of nurses who are working in Al-assad University Hospital according to the variables (gender, marital status).The sample consistes of (120) nurses of various departments in the hospital. The researcher has done a questionair of the pressure professional psychological, the study concluded to the following results: -About (64.59) of the nurses have shown high levels of psychological stress. This study aimed at investigating Tishreen university students’ psychological stress sources. Furthermore, the study attempted to explore whether students differ according to their gender, their academic specializations. The sample of this study comprised of (200) students: (100 male and 100 female). In order to achieve the goals of this study the Inventory of University Students’ Sources of psychological stress was constructed. The final version of the scale consisted of (60) items. These items distributed in seven dimensions: family stress, economic stress, personal stress, security stress, social stress, and environment of the learning stress. The results showed that most areas of the psychological stress is security, and least influential in them are social stress. The results also indicated to significant differences (α≤ 0.05) between males and females means in the social, personal, family, and the economic domains. according to the variable students’ academic specializations, the results showed no differences statistically function (0.05 "≥α) between the students.
Recent descriptive study was conducted to identify occupational stressors among emergency department nurses and unites in three governmental hospitals in Latakia.
Nursing is considered to be one of the most stressful professions among the human services professions, it need compassion and involvement beyond physical care giving. Nurses have tremendous responsibilities and deal with enormous challenges, Burno ut is one of these challenges, it is characterized by decreasing energy, power and resources in the presence of excessive demands. It is one of the factors which influence the efficiency and productivity of the workers and staff in every field. Aim: This descriptive study was aimed to assess burnout among 135 nurses, were randomly chosen, working in various section of Al-Assad university hospital. The data were collected by using a translated version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey. Results: Showed high levels of burnout among nurses as general Nurses working in Emergency Room, Intensive Care, Operation Room with Baccholrius degree had high level of Emotional Exhaustio (EE). Nurses young people experienced high level of Depronalization (D). Nurses working in night shift showed low level of Personal Accomplishment (PA(.No statistical significance was found between burnout and gende, marital status, work experience. Conclusions: this problem must be studied more deeply and related factors should be recognized in order to reduce burn out among nurses. Many affected aspects of nurse's job should be noticed and appropriate intervention should be conducted.
The objective of this research is to find out the relationship between psychological pressure and mental toughness, and to find out the differences in these variables regarding the income and academic qualification of people who suffer from diabetes (A) in Lattakia Province. The study sample consisted of (750) diabetics, (416) males and (334) females. The ages ranged between 15 and 60 years with an average of 35 years. For this purpose, the researcher used psychological pressures scale and mental toughness scale, where their psychometric characteristics were identified through an empirical sample. The research yielded the following results: There is a statistically significant positive relationship between psychological pressure and mental toughness in the research sample. There are statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05) between the average scores of the answers of the members of the research sample on the psychological pressure scale and mental toughness scale depending on the research's two variables: (level of income, academic qualification).
Job stress is defending as silent killer, nursing profession is stressful job. The aim of this study is to identify job stress sources and coping styles among nurses working in alkadmous governmental hospitals, a sample consisted of (50%) of nurses (90 nurse) were randomly selected for this study, the questionnaire was developed by the researcher based on references and literature review. the result show that the total degree of general average of job stress sources was moderate, the percentage (62.8%) of the psychosocial stress domain was in the first degree, administration stress domain in the second degree, the third degree work place environment related stress, and domain of personality stress came last in order. Also, Shows the study that positive styles of coping stress such as access to advice and guidance, problems discussion, and identify priorities of work were most use among study sample from negative styles such as changing work, and the use of drug. Based upon the results. To conclude, the study has proposed the following recommendation: there is a need for raising salaries and incentives, implementation of a job description plan, improvement of working conditions.
