The study of continental Neogene deposits in Damascus and Kalamoun areas has led to distinguish two lithological formations: the bottom one is composed of debris with fine elements in general, dominated by sand and clay, widespread on its base locally remnants of volcanic basalt flow. The top formation consist of conglomerate sediments with coarse elements of mixed sizes and sources. The study showed that volcanic flow which came from the south as basaltic flow from Al-Manea Mountain to the south of Damascus, reached the southern part of Dimas Basin and not far beyond it towards the north. Also, the study demonstrated that the age of the continental deposits overlying the volcanic flows belong at their bases to Lower Miocene age, in comparison with the data of the isotopic analysis of the volcanic rocks previously recorded in the region.

The lithologic and palaeontologic study of the marine Neogene in Salquine area (NW Of Syria) gave new data which allowed the distinguishing of a number of lithostratigraphic units and the determination of their ages. This led to precise lithostrat igraphic correlations between the studied area and the neighboring areas, and finally a clear knowledge of the geological evolution of the area during the Neogene. The stratigraphic distribution of the planktonic foraminifera in the area showed a perfect agreement with what is known during the Tethys Neogene. The comparison with the neighboring areas led to the discovery of an important stratigraphic lacuna in Salquine area during salinity period of the Upper Miocene of the Mediterranean region.
The atrical activity is part of the school of modern school curriculum. It helps in the formation of habits, skills, values and practices needed to continue their education and to participate in the overall development, hence the importance and ef fectiveness of the school stage in the upgrading of the collection of the first students of basic education in each of the Sultanate of Oman and Syria, the study aimed to identify the students to the world around them and educate students and the Arab heritage, history and culture defines the lives and problems of others, and the upbringing of the students on .
This study was conducted in two areas: Misyaf in Hama governorate and Alshaikhbader in the governorate of Tartous to identify some of economic and social effects of animal production projects carried out by rural woman who had a loan for it. The p rimary data were collected during the period 2012-2013 from a random sample (23 villages in Misyaf, and 13 villages in Alshaikhbader). Size of the sample was calculated according to Morgan law so that 243 rural women were valid for analysis. The results showed a high percentage of successful projects which had an economic and social impact for 91.8% of respondents and these projects had the following effects: 57.2% of targeted families stated that there was a rise in their spending on food, 92.2% of them confirmed the improvement of their food quality. Enhancement in quality and quantity of their clothes and increasing their ability to take family’s related decisions declared by 61.7% and 44% of respondents respectively. About 90.5% of rural women were able to make project’s related decisions and 85.6% of targeted women acknowledged a rise in self trust after the implementation of the project. The results also showed that there was a significant relationship between each of employment status before having the loan, project’s annual income and the dependent variable: rural woman’s successful project (at level of significance 1%) by using Logistic Equation. It was concluded that micro finance projects had a good impact on empowerment of rural women and activating their economic and social role. The projects also increased the family income and improving the living situation.
The aim of this study is to use the measured values of the magnetic susceptibility in the classification of the basaltic rocks and their different differentiation degrees as an additional discrimination factor to the geochemical analyses, which we re applied on the basalts of southern and southeastern Syria. So the magnetic susceptibility of ٢٠٤ specimens sampled from all the ٧ basaltic groups in Qasr Shbeeka area in addition to ٦٢ specimens sampled from three groups from outside the studied area were measured. This led to the determination of all the magnetic susceptibility ranges, their mean values and their standard deviation of the basaltic rocks in the area.
The eddies at the Egyptian and the Middle East coasts are generated by the instability of the surface circulation (AW: Atlantic Water). For describing these eddies, a lot of satellite images (SST: Sea Surface Temperature) have been treated and analyz ed at the Levantine sub-basin. This study inferred that there is an approchement in the eddies´ trajectory in both south west and south east of the Levantine sub-basin, where most eddies tend to separate from AW towards off sea. While eddies in the south east of the Levantine develop faster than that in the south west.
