The eddies at the Egyptian and the Middle East coasts are generated by the instability of the surface circulation (AW: Atlantic Water). For describing these eddies, a lot of satellite images (SST: Sea Surface Temperature) have been treated and analyzed at the Levantine sub-basin. This study inferred that there is an approchement in the eddies´ trajectory in both south west and south east of the Levantine sub-basin, where most eddies tend to separate from AW towards off sea. While eddies in the south east of the Levantine develop faster than that in the south west.

In this study, SST satellite images analysis (from September 2015 to November 2016) is focalised on the monitoring of the mesoscale eddies in the eastern Levantine subbasin (at the Syrian coasts as well as the neighboring coasts).
The aim of this study is to use the measured values of the magnetic susceptibility in the classification of the basaltic rocks and their different differentiation degrees as an additional discrimination factor to the geochemical analyses, which we re applied on the basalts of southern and southeastern Syria. So the magnetic susceptibility of ٢٠٤ specimens sampled from all the ٧ basaltic groups in Qasr Shbeeka area in addition to ٦٢ specimens sampled from three groups from outside the studied area were measured. This led to the determination of all the magnetic susceptibility ranges, their mean values and their standard deviation of the basaltic rocks in the area.
In the present study, we tried to compare the sensitivity and the specificity of the rK39 strips and DAT, to serodiagnose the visceral leishmaniasis disease in some endemic villages in south of Syria, in order to apply the best and the easy test i n the epidemiological studies, for serodiagnosis this disease not only in symptomatic patients but also in asymptomatic and suspected cases in order to treat them early and rapidly.
Yarmouk basin is considered one of the important basin in Syria due to its economical contribution in the total national production of the country. Also water plays a vital role in this effective activity of the economical development, the purpose of this research is to study the pollution in the southwest area inYarmouk basin on three levels: chemical, chemi-toxical and the Bacteriological. The study was done on three different sites which are: the outlet of Almzereeb lake, Zeizoun spring, Daael Al-kadeem well. The results were as follows: The rates of the concentration of both the ammonium and BOD in Zeizoun spring and Al-mzereeb lake high, where they exceeded the allowed limits in the drinking water of Zeizoun spring. But they remained within the allowed rates in the irrigation stander of Al-mzereeb lake, while there wasn’t any remarkable rising for such ions in the well of Daael Al-kadeem.
Zooplankton samples were collected seasonally from three stations in the south of Al-Hammar Marshes southern Iraq during the period from January to December 2011, by Plankton net of a mouth aperture of 40 cm and a mesh-size 0.90 mm mounted with a f low meter in the mouth. The results showed that the population density of Cladocera ranged between 79 ind/m3 during winter at station 1 (Al-Mas-hab) and 41971 ind/m3 during spring at station 2 (Hareer). Density of Cladocera was positively correlated with water temperature and to a lesser extent with salinity. About 13 species of Cladocera belonging to 11 genera were recorded at three stations. The high values of diversity were recorded in winter at all stations (1.68, 1.16, and 1.68 respectively) while the lowest values were recorded during spring at all stations (0.06, 0.03, and 0.01 respectively).
