The lithologic and palaeontologic study of the marine Neogene in Salquine area (NW Of Syria) gave new data which allowed the distinguishing of a number of lithostratigraphic units and the determination of their ages. This led to precise lithostratigraphic correlations between the studied area and the neighboring areas, and finally a clear knowledge of the geological evolution of the area during the Neogene. The stratigraphic distribution of the planktonic foraminifera in the area showed a perfect agreement with what is known during the Tethys Neogene. The comparison with the neighboring areas led to the discovery of an important stratigraphic lacuna in Salquine area during salinity period of the Upper Miocene of the Mediterranean region.

The study of continental Neogene deposits in Damascus and Kalamoun areas has led to distinguish two lithological formations: the bottom one is composed of debris with fine elements in general, dominated by sand and clay, widespread on its base loc ally remnants of volcanic basalt flow. The top formation consist of conglomerate sediments with coarse elements of mixed sizes and sources. The study showed that volcanic flow which came from the south as basaltic flow from Al-Manea Mountain to the south of Damascus, reached the southern part of Dimas Basin and not far beyond it towards the north. Also, the study demonstrated that the age of the continental deposits overlying the volcanic flows belong at their bases to Lower Miocene age, in comparison with the data of the isotopic analysis of the volcanic rocks previously recorded in the region.
The landslides and avalanches formations represent serious danger on the constructions. They interfere with Tectonic conditions to constitute a constructive system in some cases. Therefore appear the importance of this study, which focused on the tectonic role of these phenomenon in Al Bassit area, NW. Syria, where different deposits, mostly volcano- sedimentary of Ophiolitic complex. The field executed studies and their analysis have permit to determine the lithological and tectonic factors which have affecting the region. Also the study of slope slip and characterizations have been studied and an important comparative tables are proposed to study globally and locally these landslides, and serve as a model for future studies to prevent the risks of these slips.
Field study of the basalt rocks indicate in Jaubet-AL Dilbe that casts basalt in the field consist of tuffit, pyroclastic Sometimes consist of porphyric coarsebasalt with lava structure and brescia of tufa ,which contain a lot of surrounding rocks as lime stone and dolomite. The basalt mass noting the presence of dykes in search area incisor squad pyroclastic. The basalt color is light gray to dark gray. It is form the following petrographical kinds: olivine basalt, olivine augite basalt, olivine plagioclase basalt, plagioclase basalt. As for the lapilli consist of basalt (olivine basalt olivine vascular basalt and plagioclase basalt)
This paper Presents a Petrographic and geologic study of basaltic rocks in( Hrbet AL-Sindian). which is part of the Diaeremes to the plosirelacune Qardah district .In study, We identify the type of Cretaceous and Neogene basalt rock in the studied area.
The Research In This Regard Is Concerned With Pollution Of The Marine Environment, Which Is One Of The Vital Topics That Have Occupied The Attention Of The International Community In General and Coastal State s In Particular, For Which The Conventions Aimed At ProtectingThe Marine Environment Were Concluded By Adopting The Rules Of Substantive Responsibility For Damages Resulting From Marine Pollution Accidents, Which Has Proved To Be The Legal Valve To Guarantee Individuals' Rights And Facilitating Compensation For Damages Resulting FromPollution Of TheMarine Environment In Cases Where AggrievedIs Unable To Prove Fault In The Face Of Responsible. The Research aims To Briefing By PillarsOf Substantive Responsibility And The Implications Of establishing It In The Light Of International And Regional Conventions That Concern The Issue Of Pollution Of The Marine Environment. The Research concluded That The Implementation Of The Substantive Responsibility Rules will Achieve Greater Protection For Those AffectedIf The Period Of Limitation Extinguished For The Compensation Lawsuit Is Taken Into Account In The Interest Of Aggrieved, Especially Since Some Conventions Don’t TakeInto Account That The Environmental DamageIs Slow To Emerge, Thus Losing The Right Of Aggrieved To Compensation Due To The Lapse Of Time
