هدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة كفاءة الوالدين بالتربية من وجهة نظر الأبناء، و جرى تطبيق اختبار كفاءة الوالدين على عينة من ( 291 ) من طلاب الأول الثانوي العام و التجاري من الذكور و الإناث العمر ( 15-16 )، إذ بلغ عدد الإناث ( 146 ) و عدد الذكور ( 145 )، و تم حساب الفروق بين الآباء و الأمهات في كفاءة التربية، و ارتباط ذلك بمتغير عمل الأم (عاملة، غير عاملة). كما جرى قياس الفروق بين الطلاب تبعاً للجنس و نوع التعليم، و قد أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق بين الآباء و الأمهات بالكفاءة لصالح الأمهات. و وجدت علاقة بين كفاءة الأم و كفاءة الأب. و لم تظهر فروق دالة بين الذكور و الإناث في تقديرهم لدرجة كفاءة الوالدين. و لا فروق دالة بين الأم العاملة و غير العاملة لكن الفروق في المتوسطات جاءت لصالح الأم العاملة. و من أهم اقتراحات البحث: إقامة دورات تدريبية للوالدين على التربية الصحيحة و إعطاء رعاية أكثر للأبناء.
This study aimed at investigating parents’ efficiency in raising children from their adolescent children’s perspective. A test was applied on a sample of 291 male and female secondary school students (from both general and commercial education types) aged 15 to 16. The sample included 146 females and 145 males. The difference in the efficiency of raising children between fathers and mothers were measured, taking into account the variables of mothers’ work (working mother/housewife). The differences between students according to their gender and type of education were also measured. The results showed some differences in efficiency between fathers and mothers in favor of the mothers. There was also a correlation between mothers’ and fathers’ efficiency. No significant differences were found between the male and female students in their evaluation of parents’ efficiency in raising children. No significant differences were also found between working mothers and housewives. The differences in averages, however, came in favor of working mothers The research suggests carrying out some training courses for parents on how to bring up their children in the best way and how to give them the best attention.

The ultimate goal of this study is to enhance the cultural competence of the Syrian
students at both the school and university phases throughout the teaching of English. The
first part of this study provides what many researchers think about the ro
les of the textbook
and the teacher in strengthening the relationship between the learner and his/her own
culture and/or the other cultures including the target culture. In the second part of this
study, an analysis from a cultural perspective of the Syrian context is provided. This
analysis focuses on the English language textbooks used at the Syrian schools and at

awareness in the Syrian educational system.
The aim of this study is to specify the difficulties that face teachers in
using the computer and the internet in teaching and learning from the
perspective of graduated students of Education department in Albaath
University, and to indicate the effect of the variables of scientific degree
and having ICDL certificate on estimating those difficulties.
