This research study the effect of the most important conditions on the voltammetric curves of lead and copper to reach the optimal conditions for the simultaneous determination of these elements by Differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPA
SV) using a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) as a working electrode.
The results showed that the optimal conditions for the simultaneous determination of lead and copper by using nitric acids electrolyte 3M,were when applying scanning field from -700 mV to +150 mV, accumulation potential -800 mV, the time of the accumulation 80 sec, speed rate 40 mV/sec, and the amplitude pulse 70mV,
where the peak currents were IP (Pb) = 274.2 nA, IP (Cu) = 630.5 nA, at peak potentials EP (Pb) = -380 mV, EP (Cu) = +40 mV, by applying the previous conditions, the limits of detection reached 1.05μg/l for lead 2.45 μg/l for copper. The retrieval coefficient calculated to make sure accuracy of the method and it reached 103.90% and copper 101.70% and to indicate the precision of the way by the standard deviation was the value of the standard deviation for lead 0.027 mg/l, and copper 0.013 mg/l. the method applied under its own conditions by examined on some of environmental and samples and showed success and high efficiency
This study was conducted to identify the levels of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, nickel, copper, iron, zinc) in the following processed local and imported meat: Sardine (canned full), Tuna (canned chunks), Hammour (frozen full), Euphrates Fis
h (frozen full), fish produced at Qattinah Lake in Syria (frozen full) , lamb (frozen ground), beef (frozen ground), lamb sausage (frozen full), beef sausage (frozen full), sausageproduced in Netherlands (frozen stuffed), lamb liver (frozen full), broiler chicken liver (frozen full), broiler chicken (frozen full), chicken mortadella (canned), beef mortadella (canned), chicken mortadella (canned) produced in Netherlands. Heavy metal concentrations were identified in the samples of the studied meat by atomic absorption spectrometer. The concentrations taken in the wet weight measured in (ppm) were as follows: lead values range between (0.1–5.61),cadmium(0.01–2.02), mercury (0.14 –79.01), nickel (0.11 - 0.82), copper (0.24 – 6.89), iron (1.01 - 91.03), zinc (8.14 - 45.5). It was noticed that in some of the studied samples of the imported and locally-processed meat the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, and nickel were above the levels permitted by WHO (World Health Organization) and by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization). While the concentrations of copper, iron, and zincwere belowthelevels permitted.
In this research the development of the conditions of the determine copper duo by spectrophotometric method that based on the formation of a complex with Alizarin Red S was accamplished with the presence of fallow acid when the wavelength(220 nm), th

We present in this study accumulate of two heavy metals (Fe - Cu) in the tissues of
flowers , leaves , stems and roots of Lamium moschatum Mill.
The study showed that the plant accumulated (Fe - Cu) in different concentrations ,
with an increase i
n the concentration of (Fe) in all samples specially in roots . The highest
concentration of (Cu) was in flowers (1669.23 mlg/kg) , and for (Fe) was in roots (4539.5
mlg/kg) .
The results showed a convergency in the concentrations of (Cu) in the parts of plant
for the same sample (432.62 - 490.75 - 353.409 - 272.73 mlg/kg) in flowers , leaves , stems
and roots in order . but the concentrations of (Fe) in roots was higher than that in flowers ,
leaves and stems for the same sample .
In sample -5- the value of (Fe) in roots was (1124.91 mlg/kg) but in flowers , leaves
and stems at the same sample was ( 234.83 - 218.82 - 205.24 mlg/kg ) in order.
The concentrations of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) in samples of some cereals available at
local markets in Syria weredetermined, after nitric digestion, using Atomic Absorption
Spectrometry. The study showed that the heavy metals were present in all
samples at different
levels. The concentration of heavy metals varied from trace to higher concentration.
The maximum level of copper (Cu) in the cereal samples was 0.426 mg kg-1 on dry
weight basis, where the maximum level of zinc (Zn) in the cereal samples was 2.325mg mg kg-
1 on dry weight basis. The analytical results obtained for the heavy metals indicate that the
copper and zinc were present in all samples at concentration well below the acceptable
concentration recommended by the World Health Organization.
The concentrations of Copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn) in samples of some spices
available at some local markets in Syria were determined, after nitric digestion, using
Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. The study showed differences in metal concentrations
according to the edible part. Studied heavy metals were present in all samples at different
levels. The concentration of Copper (Cu) and Zinc varied from trace to higher
concentration. The maximum level of Copper (Cu) in the spices samples was 0.668 mg/kg.
The maximum level of Zinc (Zn) in the spices samples was 2.523mg/kg. The analytical
results obtained for the heavy metals indicate that the Copper and Zinc were present in all
samples at concentration well below the acceptable daily intake recommended by the
World Health Organization.
The research was conducted at the poultry farm in Kharabo, Faculty of
Agriculture, Damascus University. 1080 chicks of Lohman hybrid, one day old,
distributed randomly and equally into six different groups, G1….G6 (180
chicks/ group) with three re
plicates in each group (60 chicks per replicate).
Chicks in all groups were fattened for 42 days on Diets composed of vegetarian
feeding stuffs, based on corn, soya bean meal and different additives. Chicks of
G1 were fed on the main diet without adding iron or copper. The chicks in G2
and G3 were fed on the main diet mixed with 80 and 160 ppm of iron
respectively. The vhicks of G4 were also fed on the main diet mixed with 8 ppm
of copper. The Chicks of G5 and G6 were fed on the main diet mixed with iron
and copper (80 and 8 ppm) and (160 and 8 ppm), respectively. Results
demonstrated that adding iron and/or copper to the broiler diet was safe for
chickens up to 42 days of age and did not affect significantly on carcass
parameters. Supplementation of broiler diet with 8 ppm of copper was not
associated with accumulation of copper in the tissues of liver, leg bone, breast,
and thigh. Adding 80-160 ppm of iron to the broiler diets was not associated
with high level of accumulation of iron in the tissues of breast and thigh but
with high concentrations (p < 0.05) in the tissues of liver and leg bone.
