Twenty apple varieties were evaluated in the germ plasm of the Agricultural Scientific Research Center in Swaida for Morphological traits, bud honological stages, days after full bloom, storability which were ranged between 2.5 – 8 months, and best susceptibility (e.g. wooly aphid and powdery mildew), all studied varieties showed low susceptibility to wooly aphid, while Jersy Mac revealed high susceptibility to powdery mildew compared with the other varieties. The yield of all varieties was studied, so, they divided into: high yield varieties such Stark Earliest, Royal Gala and Golden 972; Good yield varieties "Golden Delicious, Starking Delicious, and Granny Smith etc."; and moderate yield varieties" Red Spur Delicious and Rome Beauty". Chemical analysis (Total soluble solids and total sugars) were achieved for all studied apple varieties. Apple Varieties were divided into five groups depending on Days After Full Bloom (DAFB). The present investigation indicted the high quantitative and qualitative traits of studied varieties which candidate for credence and distribute them in suitable environmental areas in Syria.

Fruits' trading is considered one of the most important agricultural trades in Syria, due to its big incomings and its role in supporting the national economy. GAFTA members are representing the biggest partner for Syria in this trade. The aim of this research was to assess the impact of GAFA on the exports and imports of orange and apple which are considered the most important Syrian fruits, by using dummy variables through the time series of (1994 - 2010). The research showed that GAFTA had no significant impact on any of the studied commodities through the transitional phase (1998-2004), while it had a positive significant effect on both of the exports and imports of these commodities after the full implementation stage (2005-2010). Significant differences were found between the three stages (before- during- after) GAFTA implementation. after implementation stage showed significant differences comparing to the other stages, in which the exports and imports of both orange and apple had increased in this stage comparing to the previous ones by quantity and value.
This research aimed to study some economic and marketing indicators to evaluate dairy products in small workshop in Homs governorate in 2010. Gross data of 68 samples of small –scale milk processors, 58 samples of retailers and 7 samples of wholes alers buyers were used. Results indicated that the cost of Almichelle cheese manufacturing was the highest among the products, while the least was for diluted yoghurt. The analysis results also indicated that, for margins the processor was the highest for Alhalom، Almichelle while retailers achieved the highest marketing margin for other products. Net return indicators showed that retailers achieved the highest for Albaladi and Labneh production while the processors achieved the highest net return for other products. The study concluded the need to focus on products that generate higher profit rate, manufacturing of a new low-cost products, reduce marketing parties and develop efficient information systems.
This investigation was carried out in the fields and laboratories of Pome and Grapevine Department, GCSAR/Syria, on some apple varieties i.e. Richared, Mutsu and Tourly Winsap to determine the optimal harvest date and its effect on storability. Fr uits were harvested in (16/9, 26/9, 7/10, 17/10 and 30/10) depending on physical and chemical maturity indicators, and stored with the study of changing in quality indicators and weight lost monthly. The results showed that the studied varieties differed in their storability according to harvest date, Richared fruits in 26/9 showed long storage for seven months with weight loss of 4.9%, fruit firmness 6.4 kg/cm2, and 18.7% TSS. While the storability was six months for Mutsu fruits which harvested in 7/10 with weight loss of 4.4%, and fruit firmness 6.1 kg/cm2, and finally, Tourly Winsap fruits which were stored for five months in 7 and 17/10 harvest dates with fruit firmness 5.1 kg/cm2. Moreover, the three varieties were able to storage for three months when harvested in 30/10 with weight loss of 3.3%, 4.4% and 4.5% in Tourly Winsap, Richared and Mutsu respectively, which considered as consuming maturity for these varieties. These results indicated to the various storage periods according to fruits harvest time, and the storability, which assists in regulating offer and demand, and providing markets with fruits for long period, however harvesting at optimal time reducing the total weight loss, in addition to high quality indicators.
This research investigates the actual beginning of experimental animation films and their main directions. The research also reviews the most important pioneers of abstract experimental animation in both Europe and the U. S. A. such as Leopold Surv age, Viking Eggeling and Hans Richter, on the one hand, and the most important film productions and the techniques used, on the other. We move on after that to the most wellknown figures of the pictorial school in Europe as Lotte Reinger, Berthold Bartosch and Alexander Alexeieff. The research moves on to take up the review of the contemporary experimental directions which began in the early 1950's and continued up to the present time, the directions which produced significant figures and experiments of paramount importance in the history of animation , such as Walter Disney, Ivan Vano, Osamo Tezuka, Norma Mclaren in addition to John Halas. These approaches shape the future of animation. The present research sheds light on the significance of both previous (earlier) experiments and the prospect of animation films.
20 local and introduced varieties of pear grown in Sweida during 2007 to 2010 were assessed in terms of flowering time, maturity time, accurate morphological characterization for shoots, leaves, flowers and fruits and fruit chemical analysis (tota l soluble solids, total sugar and tetratable acidity) as well as to determine firmness of fruit flesh and tree yield. Results showed that flowering time was at mid April in most varieties, and the varieties were divided into three groups according to their mature date: early varieties maturated during July, mid varieties maturated during August and late varieties maturated during September. However, A variety of Conference was required artificial ripening.
