Introduction: The Security and safety is the most important goals that must take care of in schools in order to provide a safe and secure school environments for students and staff. So all school personnel must work to achieve this and cooperate with the Ministry of education through the development of plans and studies to get to the school community that apply the instructions and guide care of school safety and security. The school environment with all its elements have a significant impact on the health of students and their physical and psychological growth, as well as affect their behavior daily in and out of school. Goals: this study aimed to assess safety procedures in governmental basic learning schools in Latakia. Materials and Methods: this study was conducted on a set of governmental basic learning schools in the city of Latakia. The original community of study consisted of 59 schools of basic public learning in the city of Latakia and the search sample included nearly50%=29 schools were taken randomly stratified. The assessment was conducted by the researcher through observation of the physical environment of schools, and interview each school’s administrators to collect information about the social environment. Results: Safety procedures in the physical environment were more secure in achieving good location and its validity as a school, and in providing general safety procedures at school, while less secure in achieving safety standards in public facilities and public health in the classroom. Were more secure in communicating with parents, and providing sport system and activities, while were less secure in achieving safety standards of providing first aid system and psychological counseling. Conclusions and recommendations: Results of the study suggested that developing of national standards for security and safety procedures in the physical and social environments of schools, as well as continue to conduct scientific research in school environment regarding safety procedures thus for accelerated changes to be present at the environment of the school, which required special solutions in cooperation with the Department of education.

School health program is a series of services provided to students in the school age that aimed to acquire healthy habits that reflected on the daily behavior, and increase their ability to high scientific achievement. Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of implementing of the school health program in primary schools in Lattakia city. Tools and methods:The study sample was consisted of (140) principals distributors on (20) School, who were chosen by using stratified random sample method, wearing first and second circlefor academic year (2014-2015). The data collected by a constructed questionnaire; a pilot study was carried out to determine the validity and reliability questionnaire. The data analyzed through the application of descriptive statistical analysis that included (frequency, percent). Results:The finding revealed that level of implementing school health program was good in (28.37%), moderate in (56.74%), weak in(14.89%).
This research aim to identify the administrative communication skills in the Schools of the Basic Teaching (One Stage) from the view of Administrators and Teachers in Lattakia city. Also studying the differences in the view points of the sample man agers according to the variables: (job title, scientific and educational qualification, experience). To achieve the object of the research a questionnaire has been included (64) methods, distributed to fifth areas, then applied to a sample of (92) managers and (308) teachers for the academic year 2015/2016. The present research used the descriptive analytical approach. Validity of the questionnaire was established though a jury of (7) of the teaching staff of educational at Tishreen. Pilot sample consisted of (48) managers and teachers, Reliability was established by Cronbach – Alpha Reliability at lest (0.707), and (0.853) at Spearman-Brown.
The aim of the research was to investigate the level of environmental awareness among sixth graders’ students in light of the gender variables and the cultural level of the mother. In order to achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used, a nd the "environmental awareness" scale was prepared. After verifying its validity, it was distributed to a sample of 140 students and students from the sixth grade school in Lattakia in 2017/2018. The results showed that the level of awareness among the sixth grade students was average. There were no statistically significant differences among the sixth grade in terms of environmental awareness due to sex, while there were statistically significant differences due to the cultural level of the mother in favor of students whose mothers have university degrees.
The purpose of this study is to monitor the reality of life skills in the schools of basic education, in terms of the extent to which the students of the fifth grade in the ability to solve the problems of life, social interaction, and the possession of the types of environmental health skills. To achieve this, use descriptive and analytical approach, and re-test of Life Skills, where he was sure his sincerity and persistence, and included three axes. Distributed test on a sample of students in the fifth grade totaling 200 pupils. The findings from the study that the research sample has a life skills grade average, equal to the premise level (2.5); Which (60%) and therefore there is no difference between the average of the calculated estimates of the students about a pivotal test (over the ability to solve problems of life, owning environmental health skills) and between Mediterranean premise for them. While The results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean estimates of pupils about the ability of social interaction. The search is over a set of conclusions and proposals as necessary attention to the development of life skills for students of basic education when presented in the curriculum.
This study aimed to assessing the role of school administration in health education in basic education schools in Lattakia city. The researcher used analytical descriptive method. The questionnaire was used to collect the study data from 30 principal s, who were chosen by using simple random sample. The findings indicated that the degree of the role of the school administration in health education in basic education schools of Lattakia city was low average as a whole is (2.42). The degree in achieving the means of health and safety was low average is (2.58), securing good environment suitable for good nutrition was low average is (2.25), and health culture was the lowest average is (2.10). Where achieving hygiene was the highest average is (2.78). This study recommended exploiting and following the applying of the health education programs. Developing the health culture programs of the school pupils and activating the role of health guide in school health field by holding seminars, training courses and sessions.
