تعتبر صناعة النقل البحري من أكثر الصناعات حرية و انفتاحاً و لديها أعقد و أكثر أنظمة السوق تطورًا، كما أنها من أكثر الأنشطة دوليةً في العالم و أكثرها كثافة في رأس المال، و أسهمت بشكل كبير في تطور الاقتصاد العالمي بشكل عام و في العولمة الاقتصادية بشكل خاص. و تتميّز صناعة النقل البحري بأنها تحتضن تقريباً كل التطورات الجديدة في تكنولوجيا المعلومات و الاتصالات عن بعد، و أصبحت تكنولوجيا المعلومات و الاتصالات من السمات الأساسية التي تميّز قطاع النقل البحري العالمي، و عامل أساسي لتطوير و تحسين كفاءة المرافئ البحرية نظرًا لحاجة النقل الدولي للسرعة في نقل و متابعة الشحنات عبر الدول، و الدقة و الأمان في إنجاز عمليات الشحن و التفريغ داخل المرافئ. يتناول هذا البحث تكنولوجيا المعلومات و الاتصالات و تطبيقاتها في مرفأ اللاذقية حيث سيتم دراسة واقع المعلوماتية و الاتصالات في مرفأ اللاذقية، و تحميل النظام المعلوماتي المطبق في محطة حاويات اللاذقية الدولية و استخداماته في العمليات الداخلية و التشغيلية و امكانية الاستفادة منه في شركة مرفأ اللاذقية. و بناءً على النتائج سيقدّم البحث بعض التوصيات للإسراع في أتمتة كافة مفاصل العمل في شركة مرفأ اللاذقية وصولاً إلى إدارة الكترونية متكاملة لمرفأ اللاذقية.
Maritime transport is considered to be one of the most liberal and open industries having really complicated and sophisticated market systems. This sector is prominent in international spread and intensive in capital. It significantly contributed to the development of international economy in general and to economic globalization in particular. Maritime transport is known for embracing almost all new trends in information technology and telecommunication in which they have become the basic features that characterize the global maritime transport sector and essential factors to enhance and upgrade the capacity of seaports due to maritime need to speed in shipping and the follow up of shipments across the countries as well as accuracy and safety in the completion of loading and unloading inside the ports. This research deals with information and communication technology and its application in lattakia port in which study the real condition of IT in lattakia port with an analysis of the information system applied in lattakia international container terminal (Lict) and its utilization in internal and operational processes and the possibility to benefit from it in lattakia port. Based on the results, this research will offer some recommendations to accelerate the automation of all joints of work at lattakia port to achieve an integrated electronic management of the port of lattakia.

This paper deals with the subject of multi-modal transport and the possibility applied in Lattakia port as it is the first container port in Syria. It also tries to describe the reality of Lattakia port, study and analysis the multi-modal transport elements as a network of roads and railways connecting the port inland areas and free zones to the neighboring states. The research also addresses the technological infrastructure in the container terminal of Lattakia port and focuses on the work of the customs administration, as the reform of the customs work and automatization of the fundamental factors are important for the establishment of an effective multimodal transport. Based on the results, the research presents some recommendations to activate the multi-modal transport and make Lattakia port an essential link in the logistical chain of regional and international transport.
Information and communication technology (ICT), Gross capital formation,
Openness, and Inflation are frequently well-thought-out as important drivers of economic
growth for all countries, and especially for developing countries. This study aims to
examine the effect of these factors no economic growth in Syria covering the period from
1995-2012, with main interest of the impact of ICT. To this end, the study utilized annual
time series data set over the period 1990 to 2010. Econometric techniques include testing
the stationary of data by applying (ADF) test and applying Autoregressive Distributed Lag
(ARDL) method of estimation. Moreover, Short run and long run estimates were found .
The paper confirms a negative and statistically significant relationship between the
economic growth and technology index in the short run, but the relationship becomes
positive and statistically significant in the long run. This paper confirms a negative and
statistically significant relationship between the economic growth and GFC in the short
run, but the relationship becomes positive and statistically significant in the long run,
where the relationship between openness and economic growth is positive both in the short
and long run, whereas the relationship between the inflation rate and economic growth is
negative both in the short and long run.

information and communication technology in small and medium
