The research was conducted in village Habbet in Hafa (Lattakia region) 300 meters above
sea level during the period of 2016-2017 the plant material of the research is red cabbage
Ruby King F1 hybrid in order to study the effect of planting date on
growth and
productivity of red cabbage. The study consisted of five different planting dates during the
med of May, June, July, August and ,September months The completely randomized block
design was used with four replications and twenty plants in replication . The study contains
indicators: )leaf surface area, shape, volume, solidity and weight of cabbage heads, inner
stem length, total and marketable yield, percentage of marketable yield and content of
vitamin C)
The results showed that planting treatment during August and September gave the superior
results with significant difference in vegetative and productive indicators: leaf surface area,
solidity and weight of cabbage heads, total yield )3394.8، 3654( kg/d respectively,
marketable yield and percentage of marketable yield.
While The planting during May, June, July was superior on content of vitamin C which
was respectively (99.58, 98.68, 97.82 ( ml/100g with significant difference.
The indirect significance of the red colour of
the Indolesian poetry was given a lot of
spaces in the romantic poetic coloured
dictionary that belongs to the Indolesians.
The indirect significances of this colour vary
in the love of the Indolesi
an poet. Such
colours include expressional and symbolic
significances like the coloured vocabulary
blood, roses, embers, anemones, and
flowers agates .These indirect significance
has become a symbol of beauty, emotions,
torment and pain.
During the study of Molluscs/Cephalopods and their diversity and distributionin the
Syrian marine waters; the presence of squid Ommastrephaes bartramii has recordedfor the
first time locally, three individuals were collected during March and April
of 2016,
twoindividuals from the Ras Al-basset coast and one from Jablehcoast, at depths ranging
from 40-130m, the required morphometric were done.mantle lengths has ranged from 36.6
to 50.3 cm and 12,1-19cm widethe, fin is in the size of 17,3-23,3cm,and 14,3- 16 cm wide,
the proliferative arm is in the range size of 46.5 to 73 cm long. the individuals weights
vary between 2555,80-3954g. Anatomy of the samples was performed also. The gonad
vary between 20,6-41,12g, and the digestive gland weight ranged between 86,68-102,25g,
has been observed all of the three individual were females..
Vancomycin can cause two types of hypersensitivity reactions, the red
man syndrome and anaphylaxis. Red man syndrome has often been
associated with rapid infusion of the first dose of the drug. The aim of
this study was to investigate the haemodyn
amic changes that follow the
appearance of pruritus during vancomycin administration and
development of red man syndrome. We studied 50 patients scheduled for
coronary artery bypass surgery, and we compared data from patients who
exhibited pruritus with those from patients who did not. Before induction
of anaesthesia, vancomycin (15 mg/kg) was continuously infused at a
constant rate over 30 min. Haemodynamic profiles were recorded before;
during and after the beginning of vancomycin infusion.
This study aims to find out the extent of application of the blue
ocean strategy dimensions in Syrian juices companies and the role
of exclusion, reduction, increase and innovation dimensions in the
market growth of these companies, in addition to
determine the
relative importance of each of the blue ocean dimensions from the
administrative staff members' point of view. The study took place in
juice manufacturers companies in Lattakia.
The conclusion of the study referred to the important role of the
blue ocean strategy in creating new markets for the studied
companies through excluding and reducing all that unnecessary
procedures, products and services and continuous reduction and
innovation process to create a new demand, where there is a
significant relationship between Blue Ocean philosophy dimensions
and markets growth.
The red meat is one of the main group of food due to their high
content of protein , mineral salts , vitamins . But the high content of
humidity and its pH value that is suitable to growth of most
microorganisms make it subject to spoilage .
In t
his study different samples of commercial meat which were
taken from market in Homs , were valuated by microbial analysis
and that were done for fresh samples , and after one month of frozen
storage in home .
The study indicated that the most of commercial red meat , were
unacceptable to human consumer because the total number of
Aerobic Bacteria , Listereia, Staphylococcus Aureus , Salmonella ,
E. coli , were unacceptable to Syrian Arab Organization for
Standardization that may be due to disases of animale or the
contamination that was happened during dealing from farm to
consumer .
In this research, the occurrence of Glycaspis brimblecombei Moore (Hemiptera:
Psylloidea: Aphalaridae) was recorded for the first time on Eucalyptus camaldulensis
(Myrtaceae) leaves in Syria. Where collected from the leaves and shoots of young and
old
trees of eucalyptus from Lattakia province in June 2015 in three sites. The morphological
characters examined and compared with the specialized keys for this species. The results
showed that the highest average for psyllid egg masses was in Bustan AlBasha on the
lower surface of the leaves and amounted to 5.80±2.00 mass, had the highest average
number of eggs in the same location and on the lower surface also reached 65.80±47.97
eggs / Leaf. The highest average number of nymphs under the Lerp in Bustan AlBasha on
the lower surface of the leaves as stage as follows: L1: 18.4±9.51, and L2: 9.60±3.32, and
L3: 6.40±0.92, while L4: 2.80±1.74 on the upper and lower surfaces. The highest average
number of psyllid nymphs without white Lerp was for the first nymph L1: In Shahd
Alaasal site on the Lower surface 3.40±0.87, and L2: at the same previous location on the
upper surface of 5.80±2.43, and L3: in Bustan AlBasha site on the Lower surface
2.80±0.58, and L4: in Shahd Alaasal and Bustan AlBasha 0.20±0.20 on the upper and
lower surface. The highest average number of adult in the site Bustan AlBasha on the
upper surface of 1.40±1.16, and the lowest in the site Shahd Alaasal on the upper surface
of 0.20±0.20.
Biological characteristics and life table parameters of the two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae (Koch) were studied when fed on leaves of two apple cultivars (i.e. Golden and Starking dilishz) under laboratory conditions 25±1 Cº, relative hum
idity 65±5% and 16L:8D. The intrinsic rate of increase (rm) by females of T.urticae was higher on leaves of Starking dilishz apple cultivar than on leaves of Golden dilishz apple cultivar (0.30, 0.27 female/female/day) respectively, while the generation time (T) and the time required for doubling the number of community mite (DT) were lower on leaves of Starking dilishz apple cultivars than on leaves of Golden dilishz apple cultivars (13.77, 2.3 days and 14.54, 2.55 days) respectively. The duration of the stages of growth from egg to adult female on leaves of Golden dilishz apple cultivar was longer than on Starking dilishz apple cultivars, where was (13.32 ± 1.15 and 12.22 ± 1.13), respectively, The Total fecundity on Golden dilishz apple cultivar was lower than on Starking dilishz cultivar (83.11 ± 8.91, 101.62 ± 15.48 eggs/female) respectively, The adult longevity on Golden dilishz leaves was lower than on Starking dilishz cultivar (15.33 ± 1.35, 17.14 ± 1.07 days) respectively, These differences on the apple varieties may be due to the chemical content and quality of the food and nature of the host tissue plant and the specifications can affect the rate of oviposition and development. and thus the Starking dilishz apple cultivars was more suitable for the development and reproduction of T. urticae compared with the Golden dilishz apple cultivar.
This study was conducted at Gharabo farm, Fac. Agric. Damascus
Universityin order to determine the effect of heat sress and level of vit. C on the
blood indicators of of Japanese quailc A total of 252 females Chicks were
distributed randomly into
two groups (G and G2) at one day of age, The chicks
in G1were subjected to an ideal temperature required according to their age up
to 30 days old, while the chicks in G2 were subjected to heat stress at 42 °C
during the daytime from 8 am to 5 pm and to ideal temperature from 5pm to
8am for the same period of rearing. Chicks of each group were distributed into
three subgroups given three levels of vitamin C: 0, 10 and20 g/l, with three
replicates for each sub-group during the rearing period. Blood samples were
collected from eighteen birds selected randomly from each group. Results
indicated that there was a significant increase in both red blood cells and
hemoglobin in the stressed group.
