In this research, the concentration of thiocyanate ion in serum has been investigated, thiocyanate has negative effects on human body when it increasses higher than specific limit, this ion is produced by the metabolism of cyanide which exist in ci garette smoke. Spectrophotometric method has been used in the visible range at λ=460 nm, the formation of the complex between thiocyanate and reagent Ferric chloride (FeCl3) have been made in an ideal parameters such as temperature 25 ºC, time=15 min, pH=4.4, volume of citrate buffer=0.75 ml, volume of reagent (FeCl3) =1 ml and concentration of reagent = 0.02 mg/ml. The selected method showed good accuracy and precision, the accuracy of the method has been validated with R=99.3%, and the precision of relative standard deviation was (RSD<=1.149 % . The concentration of thiocyanate has been studied in a sample of 240 non-smokers’ and in a sample of 240 smokers’, these samples have been divided into different age groups. The maximum concentration of thiocyanate was 89.49 μmol/L in the fourth group (>50 years) of the non-smokers’, and the maximum concentration of thiocyanate was 190.27 μmol/L in the fourth group (>50 years) of the smokers’. The maximum concentration of thiocyanate was 91.647 μmol/L in the non-smokers’ males and 86.623 μmol/L for the nonsmokers’ females, whereas the concentration of thiocyanate was 204.53 μmol/L in the male smokers’ and 167.33 μmol/L in the female smokers’.
The research was conducted on 25male lambs of Awassi sheep to compare the effect of using different levels of whole cotton seeds(WCS). The experiment extended for 70 days, experimental units were rested, then left for an adaptation period of 10 days, during the adaptation period, the animals were housed in one pen, in the end of the adaptation period, the lambs were individually weighed, then divided according to live weight into six equal groups of an average weights (24-25) kg each.
Purpose: To evaluate and compare the pharmacological characteristics and clinical efficacy of two topical steroid prednisolone preparations (Redmond®, prednisolone acetate 1%; and Pred Forte®, prednisolone acetate 1%) in reducing postoperative inflam mation in patients having phacoemulsification surgery with IOL implantation, which will support our trust in national products considering it's availability and lower costs compared with universal products. Methods: I- Laboratory Study: Direct microscopic examination of the ophthalmic suspension for both formulations. II- Clinical Study: This study was interventional, prospective, randomized controlled study included 60 eyes of patients undergoing emulsification surgery with IOL implantation. Patients were assigned to one of two treatment groups, The first group (30 eyes) received Redmond® while the second group (30 eyes) received Pred Forte® in addition to standard therapy. Study drug was administered postoperatively every 2 hours while awake for 7 days, then four times daily for 7 days, then twice daily for 7 days, then once daily for 7 days. Clinical efficacy was compared for differences in visual acuity, anterior chamber cells (scale 0-4), fundus and macula, drug's ocular adverse effects: foreign body sensation and irritation (scale 1-3), and intraocular pressure (IOP). Results were compared on day 1, day 3, 1 week, 2 weeks, and 1 month postoperatively. Results: I- Average particle size in ophthalmic suspension for both formulations was (< 1 μm). (Redmond® = 0.95 μm, Pred Forte® = 0.77 μm). II- No statistical differences in clinical efficacy or safety were seen between the two formulations tested at any time point evaluated with respect to visual acuity, anterior chamber cells, fundus and macula, foreign body sensation and irritation, and intraocular pressure (IOP). Conclusions: In this study of routine cataract patients, both prednisolone acetate 1% formulations are comparably effective and safe when administered for the reduction of inflammation after phacoemulsification surgery with IOL implantation. Direct microscopic examination showed that both formulations achieved the condition that particle size in ophthalmic suspension must be less than one micron.
Violence is clear in the story works of Zakarayya Tamer. It signifies most of his works forming a chracteristict that distinguishes his own works from other written works in this age and he proved himself a popular different writer who has his way stating with cursing and ending in crime regadless to his issues concerning (family, street, power) even if they are different if we think of circumastances which lead to this colour of writing. In this world the scenes of troublesome, fighting, raping and killing. Thus violence signifies this world in which it is difficult to live out of desire to blood by killing in the most terrified way seprating heads. This describes his way of revealing the disasterous sort of writing away from the causes of these problematic affairs which go deeper than what we are expecting. This is what the search is trying to deal with and focus.
Aiming to study the effect of propolis powder on some blood parameters of sheep, propolis powder was used in feeding of sheep by adding it in the form of dry powder . The research was carried out Syrian Awassi sheep which they are locally existed . Sheep were divided into four groups (control and three experiment groups) (2 , 3 , 4) k.g/100k.g diet of propolis powder were added to diets.
The present study was performed on blood samples belong to 15 patients( 12 males,3 females) infected with cutaneous leishmaniasis, and their healing was also proved after submitting local treatment. Study tests were performed on 2 stages, the first after infection, and the second two months at least after healing. Every patient was subject of the following tests: total, and differential white blood cells count and hematocrit value. In addition ,a study of the morphological changes of white blood cells was conducted.
The aim of this experiment to study some of the blood parameters associated with hepatic coccidiosis induced by Eimeria stiedae in rabbits, and compare it with the blood changes when infected rabbits treating with the toltrazuril compound. 21 rab bit-old (4-8 weeks) were Used for this experiment of both sexes and were divided into three groups (seven rabbits in each group): Group of natural witness, and a Group of patient witness, where the infection caused by challenge dose of about forty thousand mature oocyst for each rabbit by mouth, and a treatment group that has been given the same previous challenge dose.
This study aimed to determine the effect of antifungal drug (copper Sulphate) on blood picture of broiler chickens Vaccinated with Newcastle Disease Vaccine, We used the drug being tested by two doses: (50, 100) ppm from the age of 7 till 45 Days. We used /150/ chick were divided into three equal groups.
For studying the effect of cadmium sulphate on some physiological components of blood in male white rabbits. we used (12) animals divided in to two groups (6 animals per group).the experimental one became aqueous cadmium sulphate (5 mg/kg) orally, while the control became water for 28 days (4 weeks). We reported significant decrease (p<0.01) in the count of red blood cells , Hematocrit values and Hemoglobin concentration.
This study was performed on blood samples of 60 people [21females, 39 males]which have visited the center of leishmaniasis in lattakia city, and their infection with cutaneous leishmaniasis was confirmed. The people were divided into three age gro ups where each group contained 20 patients, the first group [10-18 years,3females and 17males], the second group [19-30 years,8 females,12males],and the third group [31- 50years,10 females and 10males]. The following tests were evaluated to each blood sample: total white blood cell count, differential white blood cells count, hematocrit test, and blood group type test.
