The aim of this research is the determination of the appropriate conditions for extracting collagen by acidic method from remnants of skins of sheep, cows, and chickens. The results showed that acetic acid is the best among the various organic acids, for extracting collagen of these skins during 48 hours, at concentration of 0.5 M and the ratio, acidic: skin (6:1).
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of some heavy metal ions on total protien metabolism in seeds and seedlings of maize plant (GHOTA 82) and study the changes in the morphological specifications of plant, after cultivating for 6 d ays in solutions at different concentrations of water and heavy metal ions Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+. The results showed that heavy metal ions have inhibitory effect on total protien metabolism, which decreased their amount in seedlings, While accumulated in the seeds. This inhibitory effect depends on the type and concentration of heavy metal ions. The results also showed morphological changes in the maize plant seedlings, which decreased their growth due to the effect of these ions.
This research aims to study the effects of some oxidoreductase enzymes activity in the seedlings of maize plant stem cells, which Cultured in the present of the following cations: Na+, K+, Mg2+, and Ca2+. (GHOTA 82) yallow corn seeds were used, an d cultured for six days in water and in solution of cations with different concentrations. In brief, preparation and titration processes consist of extraction of enzymatic solutions from plant stem cells seedlings by buffer solutions (at appropriate PH for each enzyme). The results show that the activity of used enzymes increases with the increasing concentrations of the used cations from 1 to 6 g/l by comparison with those of cultured samples in water. Besides the difference in the effect of cations was limited by the concentrations range between 6-9 g/ l.
Phenols were studied in the leaves of Syrian olive varieties collected from (Harasta and Ghouta, Damascus Countryside and Qalamun). Phenolic compounds were extracted from the olive leaf varieties after disposal of plant pigments and fatty compounds, and total phenols separated with solvent (methanol - water).
This research aims to study the proteins transformation in zea maize plant seedlings cells, (GHOTA 82) under the influence of phyto hormone Auxin & grothregulators 2,4-D and IBA. Maize plant seeds were germinated in water medium for six days in d arkness and temperature of 25 ºC. The quantity different groups of proteins, were analyzed in the stem cells of the developing seedling mesochotyles after incupation in darkness water and in different solutions of auxin, 2, 4D & IBA (in concentration 50 mg/l) for 20 hours in 26 ºC. The results showed that had inhibition effects on hydrolysis of protein groups in zea maize plant seedlings cells.
Investigate studied the activity of some enzymes in zea maize plant seedlings cells, (Ghota 82) under the influence of phytohormone Auxin & growth regulators 2,4-D and IBA. Maize plant seeds were germinated in water medium for six days in darknes s and temperature of 260C. Then stem cells of the developing seedling were incupated in darkness with water or in different solutions of auxin, 2,4-D & IBA (50 mg/l) for 20 houre in 30 0C. Then magared the activity of α-Amylase, RNAase, Catalayse, Guaiacol Peroxidase, Ascorbate oxidase in the stem cells The results showed that the incupation has defferent effects.on hydrolysis and oxidative enzymes in zea maize plant seedlings cells.
The present study contains results of some experiments that had been carried out to study the advantage of olive mill waste water (OMW) use ability and in sugar's factories wastes in Syria as fungi cultures to produce stall-feed rich in proteins. The results showed that Geotrichum rich in proteins had been grown and geminated more rapidly and revealed that inorganic nitrogen additions (nitrates or ammonia) to the culture have advanced the fungi growth which is rich in proteins, the highest quantity of proteins was (8.6 g/l) in NH4NO3 (1.5%) media and urea (2.0%) media whereas the fungi biomass was higher with NH4NO3 (1.5%) than with urea (2.0%).
A known weight of Abrus seeds powder were soaked in cِhloroformmethanol (2:1) and extracted for 18 hours, the mixture then filtrated and reextracted with equal volume of water and evaporated to dryness. The crude extract is regarded as cِhloroform -methanol extract of Abrus Seeds (crab's eye). Chloroform-methanol extract was analyzed by HPLC and GC-MS chromatography for identification and purification of the extract components. Trigonelline and Abrine were isolated, a solution of a definite concentration was made from crab's eye extract and its pure components, trigonelline and Abrine, then oral administration of this solution of a definite concentration were given to the Alloxan diabetic rats.
The present work was undertaken to study the properties and varations in the activities of castor bean lipase under different condition. Enzymes were extracted from dormant seed by phosphate buffer, then characterizations were conducted.
Sugar fatty acid esters are nonionic surfactants, which are used for personal care products, cosmetic applications, and as emulsifiers for food. In recent years, enzymatic synthesis of sugar fatty acid esters is attracting keen attention as a new manufacturing method for future application. Some Reaction parameters of lipase-catalyzed synthesis of SFAE in organic solvent were optimized in a batch reactor. Optimum conditions for reaction performed were 10% (w/w of substrates) of lipase from Candida antarctica B, at 60°C. Among the solvents tested in this study, the highest yield (93%) was obtained when Aceton was used as a solvent,. The optimal sugar-to-fatty acid ratio was tested in the range from 3:1 to 1:7 and verious sugars were used. A high conversion was obtained when the ratio of Sugar: Fatty acid (1:5) and Froctuse were used as substrat, respectively.
