This research aimed to know the relationship between psychological social conflict and depression among Damascus University students whether existing any significant differences between the means of psychological social conflict and depression degree s with respect to male and female, Science and Literate Students. The sample of the research consisted of (350) students both sexes, (165) male and (185) female students. The researcher used psychological social conflict and (BDI-II) scales. Validity and reliability of both tools were concluded. The results revealed that, there was a significant positive correlation between Psychological and social conflict and depression. The results also revealed that significant differences were observed between the means of psychological social conflict and depression between male and female students for the female. Also it showed that is no significant differences between the means of psychological social conflict and depression among Science and Literate Students
This the study aimed to reveal the relationship between the post- Traumatic stress and academic achievement of students at the fifth and sixth grade in Salamiah city. The study sample consisted of (200) students from the fifth and sixth grade in Salamiah city and that of the male and female. The researcher used: The scale of post-Traumatic Stress Disorder of preparation Manal el-Sheikh (2010), and had a good degree of validity and reliability The research found the following results: 1 - Find a sample children's exposure to PTSD after traumatic experiences they went through. 2 - There were statistically significant differences between the average degrees of exposure to PTSD variable depending on sex. 3 - There is a statistically significant relationship between exposure to traumatic stress and academic achievement.
The current study aims to discover the relationship between the patterns of family upbringing and the control center for a sample of first year high school students at public high schools. It also aims to determine whether there are any differences between females and males in methods of family upbringing on the one hand and knowing these differences in the control center based on the gender variable. In order to achieve the goal of this study, a sample of 372 students (183 male students – 189 female students) was selected randomly from the first year high school at public schools in the city of Damascus. They underwent the family upbringing test and Router's local control center test. The study has yielded a number of results, the most important of which are: There is a connective relationship of statistical indication among a number of family upbringing patters such as the independency and local control pattern, the acceptance and local control pattern. The study has also shown that over-protectiveness leads to low control center. There are differences of statistical indications between males and females in the independency pattern in favor of males, and differences between males and females in the protection pattern in favor of females.
The study aims to identify the psychological pressures faced by adolescents with type (A) diabetes and its relationship to some variables. The study was intentionally conducted on an age group (16-18) years, where the sample consisted of (50) teena gers with diabetes type (A) (25 males, 25 females). A questionnaire of (30) items on psychological pressures was used to. It was designed on the form of an event which the teenager faces and suffers from a psychological pressure (prepared by the researcher). Indications of true content were extracted by showing it to a number of arbitrators. The stability of the questionnaire was proved by way of retail midterm where the Spearman reliability coefficient-Brown reached (0.82) and Guttman coefficient reached (0.82). These results indicate that the measure is consistently high, which makes it fit for use. The results showed that adolescents with diabetes type(A) are under high stress. Moreover, the existence of a relationship between the psychological pressures and entering the hospital. The more the times of entering the hospital, the higher the psychological pressure is. The females are subjected to psychological pressures more than males, but the statistical analysis did not show statistically significant relationship between pressure sand age at diagnosis.
The study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between the psychosomatic disorders and their relationship to psychological security in a sample of adolescents who visited the Syrian Arab Red Crescent clinics in Damascus Governorate, an d also to identify the differences between the average scores of the sample on the scales of psychosomatic disorders and psychological security according to gender variable.
The personality constitutes a set of traits and characteristics that distinguish each individual from others. The human personality is distinct and different from one person to another, and each personality has a set of traits that determine its characteristics, weaknesses, strengths, flexibility and ability to conform.
