The aim of this research is to determine the role of mineral (NPK) and organic fertilization (Chicken manure, Cow manure and Chicken with Cow manure) on vegetative growth and flowering of Zinnia (Zinnia elegans). This research also examines the possi bility of relying on this organic manure to present nutrients for the plant in order to reduce mineral fertilization. The results show that the use of NPK (30, 20, 20 g/m2) or Chicken manure (2Kg/m2) has a positive impact on vegetative growth (plant height and average number of branches andleaves on the plant). They also show a positive effect on the flower developmentand flowering (early flowering, number of flowers and flower volume). These positive effects are reflected on the proportion of dry matter both in the vegetative and flowering part. The results indicate that plants fertilized with NPK or Chicken manure realize higher economic profit than the control and those fertilized with Cow manure.
The present investigation was carried out at the nursery of Agricultural faculty- Tishreen University, during 2016-2017, to evaluate the best organic culture medium for the seedling production of Zinnia (Zinnia elegans) and Stock (Matthiolaincana) with the lowest costs. Seven different mediums were experimented (Turf, waste mushroom compost, farm waste compost and their combinations). The results showed some differences in chemical and physical characters of experimented mediums. This differences had an impact on germination parameters (seed germination percentage, speed of germination, daily germination) and seedling quality (seedling length, collar diameter, fresh and dray weight, percentage of dray matter). The results indicated the mediums consisting of turf (T1), waste mushroom compost with turf (T6) and waste mushroom compost with farm waste compost (T7) gave the best germination rate and the highest quality of seedling. Data showed as well that T3 and T7 treatments realized the lowest costs and higher economic profit than other treatments.
The aim of this research was to determined the role of humic acid (HA) and organic fertilization (poultrey with cattle manure) on vegetative growth, flowering and cormels production of Gladiolus (Gladiolus hybrida). Also investigating the ablity of this organic manure to provide nutrients for the plant in order to reduce the mineral fertilization. Humax (50% humic acid) was used, and three applications of HA applied at 2 leaf, 2 and 4 leaf, and 2, 4 and 6 leaf stages of plant development. The results showed that the use of humic acid had a positive impact on vegetative growth (plant height and average number of leaves on the plant) it also showed a positive effect on the formation of Spikes and flowering (early flowering, spike length, number of flowers on spike). The positive effects were reflected on the proportion of dry matter in the vegetative part. The results indicated that plants sprayed with humic acid in presence of Chicken manure produced higher cormels yield and economic profit than the control and those fertilized with Cow manure. . Data also, Showed that T4 treatment (plants sprayed 3 times) realized higher economic profit than authors treatment (112,66%).
This study was conducted at the biotechnology laboratory of AnimalWealth Research Administration, General Commission for Agricultural Research in order to compare the effect of different media on In vitro maturation (oocytes matured at 39 C° under 5% CO2 for 24 h), fertilization، and culture (7 days postfertilization) in humidified atmosphere 95% on bovine embryo production.
This study was conducted in Abu-Jarash farm at the Faculty of Agriculture, Damascus University during the main season 2013 to evaluate the effect of soil solarization and organic fertilization treatments on the productivity of some maize genotypes (Basel 1, Basel 2, Ghouta 1, Ghouta 82 and Local White). The experiment was laid out according to split-split plot design with three replications. The statistical analysis results clearly indicated to the existence of variability in the response of studied maize genotypes to soil solarization and organic fertilization treatments. The genotype Ghouta 82 surpassed in the traits of plant height, leaf area index, 100-kernel weight and grain yield (150.25 cm, 2.84, 28.10 g and 7.99 ton.ha-1) respectively, as compared to other studied genotypes and was closely followed by the genotype Basel 2 which recorded the highest number of rows per ear (13.83 row/ear). Soil solarization for 45 days before sowing and applying organic manures at the rate of 20 ton.ha-1 encouraged the traits of plant height, leaf area index, number of rows and grains per ear, 100-kernel weight which was reflected on grain yield. Therefore we can grow variety Ghouta 82 or hybrid Basel 2 to get higher yield of maize.
