This paper aims at identifying the relation between the level of written comprehension skills and the "sex" variant in orphaned children, in addition to identifying the relation between the written comprehension skills and the orphanhood period. T he study has been conducted in Lattakia Governorate, Syrian Arab Republic, particularly during the period between January and September of 2016, through which the researcher applies the descriptive method as it fits the type and purpose of the study. The researcher has arranged a test derived from the Writing activities for ages ranging from 9- 10 years old in the standard curriculum in Syria. The targeted category involves all orphaned children within that range in Lattakia and it was carried out over 175 male and female children. This category has been chosen randomly.
The objective of this study is to know the level of psychological stresses of mothers of children with intellectual disability in Lattakia city. it aimed to find differences in the psychological stresses according to some variables : mothers educat ional level, child's gender , and the child's disability degree. The sample consisted of 34 mothers . The test of Sertawi& Abdul Aziz (1998) had been used. The results indicated that 14.7% of the participants experienced high level of psychological stress, 58.8% experienced medium level and 26.5% didn’t show any symptoms of psychological stresses. The study did not show any notable differences regarding variables: mothers educational levels, child's gender or the child's disability.
The study aimed to identify the environmental awareness among the kindergarten children (high, middle, low) in Lattakia city. In order to achieve this objective, the sample of the research of kindergarten children was selected from public and priva te kindergartens. The number of the sample reached (180) children of the age (5-6) years. This sample was chosen stratified randomly. The researcher used the descriptive method to achieve the objectives of the study. The research tool consisted of a non-verbal environmental awareness scale, which was developed by the researcher to suit the developmental characteristics of the kindergarten child in The Syrian Environment. The study found that the level of the environmental awareness of kindergarten children in Lattakia was high. The results also showed that there were no differences between kindergarten children in their environmental awareness according to gender and kindergarten's own.
The current research aimed to recognize the level of psychological security among a sample of Tishreen university students. In order to achieve the objective of this research, Shkeer's psychological security scale was applied, which its factor str ucture was investigate by the researcher in a previous study. The scale was used for data collection, and in year 2017-2018, a sample of (233) students participated in the research. The results showed that the level of students’ psychological security is medium, and there is no difference between males and females, but there are differences according to the specialty, especially in “practice life”, where that the students of practice specialty showed higher feeling of psychological security than the students of theoretic specialty.

The researcher has found that the traditional teaching methods are less effective than the modern methods of using the social games to pass on to the child the knowledge and skills of the social communication
