This research aims to study the real aspects of the Syrian industrial sector through the study of its contribution to the national economy. A Study regarding the size of the industrial contribution to the national economy is presented in this paper, as well as the presenting of an analysis of the contribution of both the public and the private sectors through four key indicators, these are: - The first indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the formation of Syrian domestic production. - The second indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the formation of Syrian GDP (Gross Domestic Product). - The third indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the operation of the labor force. - The fourth indicator : the contribution of the industrial sector to the export. And thus it provides a set of results that reflect both the reality of the industrial sector and its contribution to the national economy. Moreover it provides a set of proposals that could contribute toward overcoming the causes of the sector's low performance, so it can achieve the desired objectives.

form, that emphasize the continuity of the Syrian public firm of insurance in possessing
the greatest share in the Syrian insurance market.
The industrial sector is considered one of the most important sectors leading to economic
growth and development in all countries, and government policies, especially economic ones,
are not limited to provisions and decisions aimed at providing the
necessary components for
the continued role and growth of this sector. Since there are rarely industrial projects based on
their own sources. Hence, this research discussed the role played by the credit granted to this
sector in the form of loans and advances in activating the movement of investments in it and
how this reflected on production and its contribution to the output in order to achieve these
goals, the analytical descriptive approach was adopted. The MATLAB program was also used
to find the relationship between the research variables. The research revealed the weakness of
the funding provided to this sector compared to the other sectors. This led to the weak role
played by the credit granted to the industrial sector in spite of the strong correlation between
the variables of investment and industrial production. The study deals with the situation of the
Syrian Arab Republic during the period 1980-2010.
The banking credit is the funding source of all economic sectors; it's one of the most
important services provided by banks.
This paper highlights the role of bank credit provided by traditional private banks
operating in Syria in financing the in
dustrial sector. To achieve the purpose of the study,
the sample collected consists of 11 commercial banks. The study period extended from
2006 to 2011. The study data is primarily collected from the financial statements of the
banks studied. For the purpose of the study, a Panel Data Model, the pooled regression
model, was used for data analysis. The data were analyzed based on statistical program
Eviews7.
The production function was used to examine the relationship between the banking
credit provided by traditional private banks to industrial sector and GDP for the sector
function. Results of the study showed that the banking credit provided by traditional
private banks positively affects the GDP of the industrial sector in
Syria.
Results of the study showed that both the capital employed in the industrial sector
and the private bank credit positively affect the GDP of the industrial sector in Syria, while
the number of employees in the industrial sector negatively affects the GDP of the
industrial sector.
