This study aimed at investigating future anxiety and its relationship with the psychological stress on a sample of Tishreen University students. Furthermore, the study attempted to explore whether students differ according to their gender in the future anxiety and the psychological stress. The sample comprised of (188) students: (95 male and 93 female). In order to achieve the goals of this study the Inventory of University Students’ Anxiety Future was constructed. The final version of the scale consisted of (28) items. And the Inventory of University Students’ Sources of psychological stress was constructed, the final version of the scale consisted of (60) items. The results showed: there are correlation statistically significant between the future anxiety and the psychological stress. The results also indicated to significant differences (α≤ 0.05) between males and females means in the psychological stress, and its indicated to no differences between males and females in the future anxiety.

This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and future anxiety, and exploring the level of social support and determine whether there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the social support , and determine whether there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the future anxiety. The sample consisted of (322) students (154 male-168 female) from Damascus university students fourth year. The researcher applied social support scale and future anxiety scale.
هدف البحث التعرف إلى العلاقة الارتباطية بين الصلابة النفسية وقلق المستقبل، ومعرفة الفروق بين متوسط درجات طلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الصلابة النفسية وقلق المستقبل تبعاً لمتغيري الجنس والكمية. وتكونت عينة البحث من(622) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة جامعة دمشق، وطبق عليهم مقياس الصلابة النفسية مادي وخوشبة (Maddi & Koshaba,2001) ومقياس قلق المستقبل من إعداد الباحث وذلك بعد التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما. وأشارت النتائج إلى ما يلي: وجود علاقة ارتباطية عكسية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0,05 ) بين درجات الطلبة افراد عينة البحث على مقياس الصلابة النفسية ودرجاتهم على مقياس قلق المستقبل. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الصلابة النفسية لصالح الذكور. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة ( 0,05 ) بين متوسط درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الصلابة النفسية لصالح الكميات التطبيقية. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة( 0,05 ) بين متوسط درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس قلق المستقبل لصالح الإناث. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة ( 0,05)بين متوسط درجات الطلبة أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس قلق المستقبل لصالح الكميات النظرية.
The goal of the current research is to study the future anxiety among a sample of Damascus University students in light of some variables (sex, college, economic situation and social situation), the researcher used the future anxiety scale that wa s prepared by Nahid Massoud (2005), and the sample consisted of (372) students including (271) students in the Education Faculty and (101) students in the civil Engineering Faculty.
This research aims to investigate the correlative relationship between the cognitive style (impulsivity/reflectivity) and psychological stress among college students. It aims also to investigate the differences in the cognitive style (impulsivity/reflectivity) and psychological stress according to gender and academic specialization (education/fine art). The sample of this study comprised of (200) students: (100 male and 100 female). In order to achieve the goals of this study the Inventory of University Students’ Sources of psychological stress was constructed. The final version of the scale consisted of (60) items. These items distributed in seven dimensions: family stress, economic stress, personal stress, security stress, social stress, and environment of the learning stress. The results showed that most areas of the psychological stress is security, and least influential in them are social stress. The results also indicated to significant differences (α≤ 0.05) between males and females means in the social, personal, family, and the economic domains. according to the variable students’ academic specializations, the results showed no differences statistically function (0.05 "≥α) between the students.
