The insurance sector is considered one of the most important pillars of world financial services. It accompanies, supports and helps in stabilizing other economic activities. This study tries to illustrate the important role of insurance in the econo mic activity, and its position in national economies around the world. In this study we try to define some aspects in insurance, which affect the economic activity, especially in industry and agriculture sectors, in addition to the illustration of the insurance position in the economic of some countries, and the involvement of this sector's development with the general economic evolution in these countries, trying to reach applicable objective recommendation that contributes in the development of this sector in Syria.
This research aimed to monitor and analyze press coverage of the issue of price inflation in the economic pages in the Syrian daily newspapers (Al-thawra, Al-Baath, Alwatan), and evaluate the reality of their performance and their impact on the cit izen through the editorial arts used in addressing the phenomenon of inflation, which counts large numbers of citizens. In order to achieve these goals, the researcher used the descriptive approach and style of content analysis. Research revealed that the Syrian daily press to address the problem of rising prices is dominated by news of handling which is based on reports and stories of news type. The research also revealed that the headlines topped ranked first among the means of highlighting used in addressing the phenomenon of inflation, and all the pictures published were free of comments and annotations and descent to the source. Research has shown, too, that the sources of published material about inflation are primarily delegates and reporters, officials actually about interpretation and opinion articles in newspapers studied, then the ministries and official departments. Also, it indicated that the geographical scope to address the newspapers to inflation was limited to the city of Damascus and its suburbs to other cities and the countryside of the Syrian account.
This research studies inflation and its reasons in the Syrian economy using (1990-2010) data, also it studies imported inflation and its reflects on inflation rates, considering that the imported inflation is one of the major drivers of inflation in transitioning economies. We find that the imported inflation has a significant effect on inflation rate, and it leads – beside endogenous factors – to high inflation rates. Hence, there must be coordination among economic policies to achieve the balance between money market and commodities market, in addition to the optimal use of the potential sources, thus less import.
The purpose of this research is to study the effect of higher education employment on labour participation rate. This is done by analyzing the reality of the labour force, especially the reality of employment of people with university degrees as we ll as by defining the participation rate by gender in order to illustrate the gender gap. It also determines the impact of higher education on the labour force participation rate, using simple regression. Doing these two things helps in putting future economic policies. The study shows that there is a decrease in the whole labour participation rate during the period of study despite the rise of higher education employment. Using a descriptive analytical and statistical method, the research comes up with some important results: Higher education negatively affects the rate of female participation in economic activities. Higher education negatively affects the rate of male participation in economic activities.
The survey conducted for the role played by rural women in various aspect: social, economic and particularly agricultural fields create a database, which might help for the efficient Management Human Resources. Which has a crucial impact on the ve rge of sustainable development. This study investigated to describe the rural woman`s activities. Moreover, the study aimed to define the most important challenges and difficulties affronting of rural development women in the studied area. According to the study, the most of the economic activities carried out by women contribute to a very good part of the family income, although there are ranges of challenges that hinder the expansion of this activity. Based on the study, the most important of these limitations is absence of the Women's Union efficiency and rural Extension. As well as the lack of loans for supporting the economic activities carried out by women and other classified challenges.
