على الرغم من أن قلع الأرحاء الثالثة المنطمرة يمارس يومياً في عيادات جراحي الفم و الوجه و الفكين، إلا أن هناك الكثير من المضاعفات التي يمكن أن تحصل في أثناء العمل الجراحي أو بعده، حيث صنفناها في هذا البحث إلى تسع عشرة مضاعفة، و قد لاحظنا وجود اختلافات بين نسب حدوث هذه المضاعفات في الجمهوريـة العربيـة السورية بالمقارنة مع النسب التي تذكر في البحوث العالمية في كثير من الأحيـان، و قد حددنا العوامل التي يمكن أن تقلل من حدوث المضاعفات. و أوصينا في نهاية هـذا البحث بإتباع بعض القواعد التي تساهم في التخفيف من نسبة حـدوث المضـاعفات بشكل فعال.
Although the extraction of third molars is a daily practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, clinics, there are many complications which may occur during or after surgery. These complications were classified in this study in to ١٩ categories. The percentages of many complications, occuring in the Syrian Arab Republic were comparatively different from the percentages published in the international literatures. The factors which can reduce the incidence of complications, are identified and efficient ways of avoiding such complications are recommended .

governorate, by using sticky paper (SP) and CDC traps.
The 20/988 sand flies caught, belonged to the genus Sergentomyia, whereas
968/988 sand flies were Phlebotomus species. The Sergentomyia caught were S.
dentata (2%). The identified Phlebotomus were P. papatasi (49.8%), P. syriacus
(35.5%), P. tobbi (10.8%), P. neglectus (0.6%), P. jacusieli (0.7%), and P. simici
(0.5%). The later two species are recorded for the first time in Tartous
governorate.
