تعرف التنمية المستدامة بأنها الإدارة التي تهدف إلى سد احتياجات الأجيال الحالية بما لايعرض للخطر مقدرة الأجيال القادمة على سد احتياجاتها. و جاء في الفصل ٤٠ من جدول أعمال القرن ٢١ دعوة الدول و الهيئات الوطنية و العالمية إلى تطوير مؤشرات التنمية المست دامة. و شرعت هيئة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة تنفذ برنامج عمل حول المؤشرات باشتراك العديد من المنظمات الدولية و الحكومية و غيرالحكومية. كما غدا الموضوع هامًا و على جدول أعمال الاتفاقيات الدولية كاتفاقية التنوع البيولوجي التي بدأت بالتعاون مع منظمات دولية و هيئات علمية بالعمل على تطوير معايير و مؤشرات استدامة خاصة بالتنوع البيولوجي.
The paradox of the search reveals the growing need of phosphate derivatives, and to develop its usage in Agriculture and other consumer goods. However, the manufacturing of the raw phosphate products is still under the requested demand which requi res importing to reimburse the shortage in spite of the fact that the raw materials are exported in a very low additional cost. The search aims to identifying the geographic distribution of Phosphate in Syria and the possibility of investing it, identifying its characteristics and its economic value, coefficient of correlation between production and consumption, and observing the future horizons of a rational investment in it.
The coastal territory of Syria, in terms of its demographic characteristics, is remarkably rich of human resources where manpower records 65,1% of the total population. These statistics pose a big challenge regarding high levels of unemployment in th e region, according to the results of 2004 Census. Such a magnitude of manpower and workforce, is an inevitable as well as an objective consequence of the previous phase of population growth in the region, which has seen a surge in fertility rates and population growth, leading into imbalance between supply and demand equation in the labour market, and the biggest challenge in the context of the development process itself as much as for future planning. Population and development have a dialectical relationship of bilateral paradox through which population variables constitute the cause and consequence of the development process conditions.
This study aimed to development the appropriate sustainable management of the irrigated lands based on Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System techniques in Alaşehir-Akkeçili collective irrigation system. Some properties like the soil structure, land classes, sub-class properties, salinity, sodium, drainage capability, soil depth, infiltration, hydraulic conductivity, as well as the features of current land use, water requirements, the amounts of water that has to be distributed by irrigation system, and climate conditions were evaluated by the Geographic Information System (GİS) and a database based on the land ownership was created.
