هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على علاقة القلق الاجتماعي بتقدير الذات لدى تلاميذ الحلقة الأولى من التعلم الأساسي في مدينة حمص, و تقدير الفرق بين الجنسين في أدائهم على كل من مقياس القلق الاجتماعي و مقياس تقدير الذات؛ و لتحقيق هذه الأهداف تم تطبيق الدراسة على عينة مكونة من 426 تلميذاً و تلميذة من تلاميذ الحلقة الأولى من التعليم الأساسي و استخدام برنامج الحاسوب SPSS17 لإيجاد المتوسطات الحسابية و معاملات الارتباط واختبار "t-test" لدلالة الفروق بين المتوسطات.
This study aimed to identify social anxiety and its relationship with self-esteem of pupils in the first stage of basic education in the city of Homs, and know the difference of sexes in their performance on each of the social anxiety scale and the self-esteem scale; to achieve these goals has been applied study consisting of 426 sample male and female, from the first stage of basic education pupils, the use of SPSS17 computer program to find averages, "ttest",and correlation coefficients.

The research tries to define the most important social factors which contribute to the decline of educational achievement in the schools of the first phase of the basic education stage. These factors have been clarified through a theoretical study an
d a field study that was conducted in Lattakia city in the academic year (2011-2012). The theoretical study includes an explanation of the concept of social upbringing of the children, and the educational role that the family plays in the student’s life via the surrounding environment, and the methods of upbringing. The research also shows the importance of social relations at school between the teacher and students, the relation among friends at school in general and the influence of these relations on the students’ achievement. It yielded many results as to the social factors which contribute to the decline of educational achievement, the most prominent of which are: the low social level of the family; separation within the family; incorrect methods of upbringing; the negative effect of the television; abnormal relations with the friends; the passive character of some teachers.
The aim of the research is to identify the degree to which the
teacher of the school in the city of Homs, in turn, in the
consolidation of social values of students in the first cycle of basic
education from the point of view of teachers and princ
ipals and to
identify the obstacles to the teacher, To establish the social
values of the students of the first cycle of basic education
according to the research variables (gender, type of qualification,
number of years of experience).

This study aimed to identify the Obsessive-compulsive Disorder (OCD) and its
relationship with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) among pupils in Basic education
stage Depending on the sample of (30) pupils from the pupils of Basic education in the
schools of the province of Tartous , The researcher used the Arab gauge of (OCD)
prepared by Ahmed Abdul Khaleq and (GAD) in children prepared by Dr. Viola
Beblawi scale, and it adopted the researcher to gain access to the results at the expense of
the Pearson correlation coefficient to measure the correlation between the two variables
and test T Student of the difference between the averages and Slope coefficient to measure
the predictive ability. The study found the presence of statistically significant correlation
between (OCD) and (GAD) among respondents and it demonstrated a statistically
significant differences in the proportion of (OCD) between males and females in the target
sample disturbance differences in favor of females (females received higher grades than
males on the obsessive-compulsive scale scores than males) , While the results did not
indicate the existence of any differences in Anxiety between male and female respondents,
The results also indicate that it is possible to predict the existence of (GAD) among
individuals who suffer from (OCD) a high percentage .The search is over a number of
