The research aims to identify the role that foreign trade plays in the
Syrian economy,

The researcher has addressed the economic reforms that directly
affect the foreign trade, and then analyzed the structure of the
foreign trade to discover the real economic potentials and the
necessary requirements for the promotion.
The advancement of small and medium enterprises sector(SMEs),
activating its developmental role in general, and its role in employment in
particular, is considered an important goal for most countries of the world,
whereas many economists believe
that the development of SMEs, and
encouraging its establishment is one of the most important tributaries of the
economic and social development.
This research clarifies the concept of SMEs in Syria, its economic
importance and studies its contribution in the national economy in Syria.
The insurance sector is considered one of the most important pillars of world financial services. It accompanies, supports and helps in stabilizing other economic activities. This study tries to illustrate the important role of insurance in the econo
mic activity, and its position in national economies around the world. In this study we try to define some aspects in insurance, which affect the economic activity, especially in industry and agriculture sectors, in addition to the illustration of the insurance position in the economic of some countries, and the involvement of this sector's development with the general economic evolution in these countries, trying to reach applicable objective recommendation that contributes in the development of this sector in Syria.
The research has aimed to identify the role of school management in maintaining the
relationship between the school and the local community in Homs and knowing the
different responses of teachers participating in the research depending on the two c
riteria
of (sex , years of teaching experience) . The sample consisted of (303) male and female
teachers who have been chosen randomly from the schools of Homs city. The researcher
has followed the Descriptive approach in her survey and she has used a questionnaire kind
of survey as a means to achieve the objectives of the research after it was tested for its
validity and reliability.
The most important findings of the study:
1 –The role of school management in maintaining the relationship between the
school and the local community has been highly evaluated by the teachers of the public
secondary schools in Homs.
2 - There were no statistical significant differences in the average rate of teachers'
responses on the role of school management in maintaining the relationship between the
school and the local community according to the variable of sex.
3– There were statistical significant differences in the average rate of teachers'
responses on the role of school management in maintaining the relationship between the
school and the local community according to the variable of years of teaching experience
for teachers with high record of years of experience.
The research handles a vital topic regarding the developmental role of investment
activities in the free zones. The free zones are the most important economic instruments
employed by countries to achieve the development goals, especially. In Attrac
ting foreign
and domestic investments and the increase in traffic trade. Besides, the free zones play a
developmentally and socially positive through polarization and running cheap national
labor in it's different levels through job creation.
Through comparative analysis approach and reviewing the historical growth,
development of free zones and their importance in addition to the importance of
investment in Syrian free zones and its success and investment activities on the one hand,
and the developmental role of investment activities in the Syrian free zones, on the other
hand, this study seeks set of results which the most important of it:
- The investment climate in Syrian free zones as a catalyst for foreign and domestic
investment.
- There is a clear growth in traffic trade.
- There is a weak role of Syrian free zones in reducing unemployment in the
community.
