In addition to the aesthetic role of buildings' façade stone coverage, there are many expected issues of this process notably identity and environmental friendly. This process is often used superficially and inappropriately in many cases it has been used for marketing purposes, sometimes resulting in an abuse of the goals and the process which was created for and deteriorated badly even the local identity of the city. Unfortunately, many of the architects were involved in the abuse. Hence the research finds the need to identify ways to use the texture in design and implementation processes, methods and the success of the use of stone environmentally, its success and the reasons for its failure to address the problems in Lattakia city, through knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of stone and methods.

The research found: mismatch between higher education outputs and labor market requirements in Syria, as a result of the low efficiency of the outputs of higher education and as a sort of lack of access to higher education investment in human capital index.
This paper presents the Change vector analysis (CVA) approach for detecting and characterizing radiometric change in multispectral remote sensing data sets The dynamic changes of the land use/land cover were studied in lattakia city by using two E TM-Landsat-7 scenes, for the years 2000, and 2010, and the spatial resolution of those two images was 15 m. The CVA algorithm has been applied and produced two ‘channels’ of output change information multispectral change magnitude and change vector direction in land use/land cover during this period. Two models have been built within ERDAS Imagine 8.6 software to perform the algorithm and evaluate the positive and negative changes and analyze the the human impacts on the land use/ land cover change. This method can be applied to various fields of study in order to generate maps represent the continuous development of land use and land cover. These maps can be significantly useful for the regional and urban planning and natural resource management, in light of the great expansion of urban areas at the expense of green spaces and uncontrolled use of the land.
Housing is an important element of architectural surrounding, that appears to be an outcome of the interaction of a number of factors whether regarding its age, model, location, and area. So any building is valued by its aesthetic historic value as well as its capacity to satisfy the needs and comfort of its inhabitants. The research presents an analytical study of the reality of contemporary housing and its changes in the city of Latakia during the period 1921-2014, to register the most important transformations that have occurred as a result of political, economic and social conditions on the architectural level (housing) and urban level (residential complexes). The research has sum up a set of architectural aspects that have changed in the design of buildings in Latakia , along with the most important reasons causing this change.
The objective of this research is to find out the relationship between psychological pressure and mental toughness, and to find out the differences in these variables regarding the income and academic qualification of people who suffer from diabetes (A) in Lattakia Province. The study sample consisted of (750) diabetics, (416) males and (334) females. The ages ranged between 15 and 60 years with an average of 35 years. For this purpose, the researcher used psychological pressures scale and mental toughness scale, where their psychometric characteristics were identified through an empirical sample. The research yielded the following results: There is a statistically significant positive relationship between psychological pressure and mental toughness in the research sample. There are statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05) between the average scores of the answers of the members of the research sample on the psychological pressure scale and mental toughness scale depending on the research's two variables: (level of income, academic qualification).
The research aims to analyze the reality of the health service in the Syrian private hospitals in Lattakia City; by answering the following questions: * What is the level of the health service in hospitals in terms of the availability of the follo wing basic dimensions: Tangibility, empathy, responsiveness, assurance and security, reliability and credibility? * What is the impact of the dimensions of health service quality in customer satisfaction? The survey form was designed and distributed to (105) customer of the patients who checked in private hospitals in Lattakia City, where a convenience sample was chosen. The results of research indicated, that there is a good understanding of the following dimensions: Tangibility, empathy, responsiveness, and assurance and security between members of the research sample. The study results also indicated that there is a significant and positive effect of (empathy and emphasize security and reliability) dimensions on customer satisfaction as dependent variable, which the regression model explained (80%) of the differences in customer satisfaction, while Tangibility and speed of response did not affect customer satisfaction as a dependent variable.
