We present a number of methodological recommendations concerning the online evaluation of avatars for text-to-sign translation, focusing on the structure, format and length of the questionnaire, as well as methods for eliciting and faithfully transcribing responses
The impact of the "crisis of comparative literature" (Renee Wilk) in the critical
center of the fire spread in the wild, although the vocabulary did not bear new added to the
efforts of critics and comparison in his time and before. From a research
er dealing with the
issues of comparative literature only pointed out a statement or hint To what Wilk
discussed in his crisis.
The pages of this research may be able to capture the knowledge and methodology of
WELC in formulating the points presented in its crisis, relying on extrapolation and
devising a means, and a tool for the fairness of the previous efforts objectively and
impartially, And its objectives.
Translation forms a scientific, artistic and procedural house that receives texts whose
language and culture are peculiar. It probes them and explores their unique ideas and
treasures to quench its thirst for it is a science and an end by itself. I
t has its bases, its
factors, importance and tools, and it tries to quench others when it becomes a bridge
between different nations and cultures and their various ways of thinking. From this
perspective, the title is a kind of analysis, of what the subtitle is: the essence of translation,
and the comparative literary research so that both will be the object of our study in
continuation of previous studies whose echo could be seen by the reader directly or
indirectly of for being similar.
This article examines the apocalyptic images, characters and allusions in two selected plays of fin de siècle theater: Salome (1893) by Oscar Wilde and The Sea Gull (1896) by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. These two plays are selected to illustrate two dif
ferent ways, direct and indirect, in adapting apocalyptic images, borrowed from the Book of Revelation. In Salome, Wilde employs apocalyptic images, sometimes literally and sometimes through allusions. The research claims that through this process, Wilde does not emphasize the dominant eschatological ideology of the end of time. On the contrary, he attempts to destroy the illusions and apocalyptic scenarios of the end of the world of his contemporary people. Doing so, Wilde uncovers the real apocalyptic reality that the people of the late nineteenth century lived. Similarly, the article also examines Treplyov's symbolic play within a play in Chekhov's The Sea Gull focusing on the great influence of the Apocalypse on Treplyov's mind whose eschatological imagination leads him to his final destruction and death. Because of the inability to cope with the accelerating changes and intolerable decadent reality, Treplyov becomes the prisoner and victim of his own apocalyptic imagination. The article concludes that like Wilde, Chekhov does not strengthen the apocalyptic and nihilistic views that echo the widespread fears of the end of time by the nineteenth century people, but rather warns against the dangerous consequences of the ideology of the end of the world through the play within a play technique, and the adaptation of apocalyptic images.
Flush end-plate beam-to-column joints often subjected to a combination of bending
and axial forces .The level of axial forces in the joint may be significant in case of: sway
frames under horizontal loads, pitched roof portal frames and irregular f
rames.. Many of
design codes neglect the effect of axial force in the connection analysis as it is usually low.
Eurocode 3 limits the axial force acting on the joint to 10% of the design plastic resistance
of the connected member cross section to apply component method.
The objective of this paper is to discuss the behavior of flushend-plate connections
under a combination of bending and axial tension or compression forces For the nonlinear
finite element analysis the modeling process was carried out using CATIA computer
program. The results of the finite element analysis of the connection showed that by
applying the tensile axial load of the beam into the connection, the ultimate bending
capacity of the connection will decrease. On the other hand, by applying compressive axial
load of the beam to the connection, the ultimate bending capacity of the connection will
increase at first; but after the buckling of the compressive flange of the beam takes place,
the total capacity of the connection tends to decrease.
Compliance of treatment regimens considers one of the challenge the end-stage renal
disease patients, because of its highly cost related to medication, sessions, diets and the life
style modification.
Objective: to assess the compliance of end-sta
ge renal disease patients with
treatment regimens. Setting: The study was carried out in all the hemodialysis departments
in the governmental hospitals in Lattakia. These were Al-Assad Hospital- Public Lattakia
Hospital- Military Hospital- Jablah Public Hospital- Al-Kurdaha Public Hospital- Al-Hafa
Public Hospital. Subjects: the study consisted 230 patients of the hemodialysis department
in the time of study from the first of November to April 2014. Tool: patients were
interviewed individually to collect the necessary data using tool I, their compliance with
treatment regimen were assessed using tool II. Results: only 2.17% of the patients were
compliance with prescribed treatment regimen. Their compliance was affected by some
factors like the hospital where they got sessions, monthly income, and with the date of
beginning treatment.
Research was conducted on a sample of 45 patients in the Department of hemodialysis in Alssad University Hospital in Latakia, It was implemented two policies nursing care included each policy applied on two experimental groups I and II for a period o
f 3 months, and the patients were monitored patients using the form author 3 parts of a demographic data and the activities of nursing care and monitoring the occurrence of complications. Results: The results showed the effectiveness of the application of the policy of nursing care, including exercise program in the prevention of the occurrence of complications during hemodialysis, effectiveness of exercise in the prevention of complications during hemodialysis, regardless of the activities of the sports program applied.
Conclusions: conclude from the study that the application of the policy of nursing care, including exercise program contributes to the prevention of the occurrence of complications (high / low blood pressure, nausea and vomiting, muscle spasm) during a session of hemodialysis.
Although complications of arteriovenous fistula infrequent, but they occur, the most important and common complications are: thrombosis, infection, stenosis vascular, bleeding, aneurysm, ischemia.
It was observed that preparation and good care of
AVF have an important role in reducing complications in addition to accelerate the maturation of arteriovenous fistula. Implementing A protocol of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care Contributes in preventing complications and improve the maturation of arterial venous connection. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effect of the application of the policy of nursing care on the clinical outcomes of the arterial venous connection postoperatively in patients with end stage renal disease. Goal: the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of Implementing A Protocol Of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Careon clinical outcomes in patients with end stage renal disease. Materials and Methods: the study was conducted at AL-Assad University Hospital (Lattakia), a convent sample of 20 patientsin the renal dialysis department and the Department of Surgery. Clinical results for AVF were evaluated and the results of application policy of nursing care to of AVF in the control and experimental groups after 40 days of follow-up by using tow development tools: Sociodemographic Data and Arteriovenous Fistula Assessment Sheet. Results: our results demonstrated important of application of A Protocol Of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care. It decreased the complications in the experimental group and improve maturation of AVF mostly in the twentieth day of the study, while there was complications higher and delay in the maturation of AVF to the fortieth day of the study and after in the control group, which left for routine hospital. Conclusions and recommendations: our present study results advice to apply a protocol of Postoperative Arteriovenous Fistula Care because its affect in decrease and preventing complication in addition to improve maturation of AVF on ESRD patients
Therefore in this paper we will present the stability analysis carried out on the
Dwesat dam with vertical core, its high is 33m, the downstream slope of 1V:2.75H and the
upstream slope of 1V:3.0H. Thickness of the vertical core was varied from 1V:
0.25H to
1V:2.0H, and also present the effect of the varied thickness on slope stability for both
upstream and downstream under three design conditions i.e. during and end of
construction, steady state seepage and rapid draw down by General Limit Equilibrium
Method using GeoStudio software.
It was observed from the analysis that by varying the thickness of vertical core of
earth dam, thinner core up to 1V:1.30H gives more stability and further increase in
thickness of core tends to sharp decline in factor of safety for both upstream and
downstream slope under different design conditions.
Cephalometric superimpositions are the most commonly means used to assess
the orthodontic teeth movement – especially- in cases of extraction - with their attendant risks and
difficulty, therefore dental casts were an alternative way for serial ass
essment. So the aim was to evaluate
the stability of the medial end of the third palatal ruga as a landmark in maxilla in extraction cases, and
the possibility of using it in the mandible.
