In this study, we demonstrate the viability of deploying BERT-style models to AWS Lambda in a production environment. Since the freely available pre-trained models are too large to be deployed in this environment, we utilize knowledge distillation an
d fine-tune the models on proprietary datasets for two real-world tasks: sentiment analysis and semantic textual similarity. As a result, we obtain models that are tuned for a specific domain and deployable in the serverless environment. The subsequent performance analysis shows that this solution does not only report latency levels acceptable for production use but that it is also a cost-effective alternative to small-to-medium size deployments of BERT models, all without any infrastructure overhead.
Eleven genotypes of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were tested at three diverse
locations in the Syrian Coast during the 2015-2016 season under rain-fed conditions to
assess these genotypes and to study the Genotypes x Environments Interactions
, and yield
stability across environments using 5 statistical measures of stability:{ X¯i, bi, and i
according to Eberhart and Russell (1966), Stability Variance Index (2
i) according to
Wricke and Weber (1980), Ecovalance Stability Index (Wi) according to Wricke (1962)}.
Genetic material included 5 promising lines and 6 local varieties (provided by ACSAD and
GCSAR).The experiment was designed using randomized complete block design with
three replications, statistical data analysis was done, and least significant difference
(L.S.D) test at 5% was applied for comparison of means. Significant differences were
observed among bread wheat genotypes for grain yield (ton/ha), combined analysis of
variance of grain yield across the three environments showed significant mean squares due
to genotypes, environments and genotypes x environments interaction, suggesting
differential responses of genotypes across studied environments and validity of stability
analysis.
Stability analysis for grain yield revealed that; the promising line ACSAD-1147 and
Doma6 were more stable than other genotypes. Due to they had superior ranks for both
average yield over environments and yield stability, which reveals the importance of these
genotypes to reach varieties that combine relatively high yield and better stability in any
future breeding programs.
The study aimed at determining the extent of the company's commitment to social responsibility according to the following areas: Social responsibility towards: community, environment, auditors, employees, shareholders, government, suppliers, competit
ors, The study was based on the Descriptive Methodology. The research society included all the employees of Joud Trading Company, which numbered (860) workers and workers. The sample size was determined by the statistical sample law. The sample size was 266 workers, (231) complete and valid for statistical analysis, with a response rate of (86.84%). The researcher used data processing SPSS.23, which is based on the following statistical methods: arithmetic average, standard deviation, relative importance, arithmetic mean. Test t) for one sample. One of the most important results of the study is that the company in question is committed to social responsibility according to the aforementioned fields and to a large extent.
The study aimed at identifying the method of joint auditing of the financial
statements and the stages that must be carried out to complete the audit process using the
statistical survey.
To achieve this objective, a field study was carried out th
rough the creation of a
questionnaire distributed to a sample of practicing auditors according to the Association of
Chartered Accountants in Damascus, and then analyzing the results and testing the
hypotheses using SPSS.
And research found the following results: There is the role of the joint audit in
raising the efficiency of the use of a preview qualities in the audit and special evaluation of
test results jointly.
There is a role for joint auditing in raising the efficiency of the use of the
examination of variables in the audit, especially the assessment of relative importance in a
joint manner.
There is a role for joint auditing in raising the efficiency of determining the size of
the sample and the factors affecting it, especially the acceptable risk rate in common.
There is the role of the joint audit in reducing the risk of use of statistical sampling in
audit, special audit is divided between the auditors' joint accounts on the basis of the
applicable auditing or corporate functions business cycles.
In this paper we present a study on the time cost
added to the grid computing as a result of the use of a
coordinated checkpoint / recovery fault tolerance protocol, we aim
to find a mathematical model which determined the suitable time
to save t
he checkpoints for application, to achieve a minimum
finish time of parallel application in grid computing with faults and
fault tolerance protocols, we have find this model by serial
modeling to the goal errors, execution environment and the
chosen fault tolerance protocol all that by Kolmogorov differential
equations.
this paper highlights the role NGOs played in
developing these treaties and conferences, setting an example on
how to protect the environment and stop its deterioration on both
national and international levels and find solutions to the problems
and limit them.
The volatile oil of Anthemis wettsteiniana was studied in
environmentally different regions distributed on five locations in the
provinces of Homs and Hama, in order to determine the quantity and
quality and effect of the surrounding environment,
on the volatile oil
specifications. The plants were gathered during tow phonological
phases of the life of the plant included the vegetative growth stage- the
full of flowering stage. It was then extracted through water extraction
method. It was found that the highest percentage of volatile oil was
recorded in Al-afif location at the full of the flowering stage during
the 2013 season, where the percentage of the volatile oil was 0.12
(ml/100g) ,while the lowest percentage of volatile oil was recorded in
Tal-snan during the 2014 season , the percentage of the volatile oil was
0.04 (ml/100g).
The aesthetic and environmental values of a street are greatly influenced by the
selection of an appropriate arboreal species and the relation between its planted trees with
the different engineering elements of a street . Street trees play a signi
ficant role in forming
the architectural and aesthetic texture of the city. They, forther more, enhance material,
environmental and cultural aspects of the city. This paper aimes to analyze arboreal rows
in HALAB Street and to study their relation with the service and structural engineering
components Of that street . Moreover, the optimal situation of these street trees was
evaluated using (Li et al, 2011) equation. Results of this paper revealed prominent breaks in
the arboreal rows, and that these rows contain four tree species (Jacaranda mimosaefolia
Don., Ficus nitida L., Eucalyptus rostrata S., Melia azedrach L.), which served to furnish
the street with monotonic beauty and humility in botanic diversity. Findings showed
decrease in the optimal value of the two used botanic species where (Jacaranda) attained a
mark of 6.22/10 and (Ficus nitidia) 7/10 and (Eucalyptus) 7.28/10 and (Melia) 7.53/10.
Corresponding to the relation of trees to some street engineering elements, results indicated
inobservance of standard dimensions between planted trees and service elements. which
negatively influenced the aesthetic and position value of buildings’ and stores’ facets and
guiding signs and billboards on the one hand, and risk increase on pedestrians and vehicles
due to blocking vision of traffic signs and overlap of tree crowns with electricity and
lighting posts on the other hand.
The importance of the study of the environment under
international humanitarian law to the exposed developing
countries to global marginalization led by the major industrialized
countries redeployment of polluting industries to the environment
in
the south of the developing regions under the slogan of
contributing to the development of developing countries, and in
this context, we must address the requirements of environmental
protection in the international humanitarian law remained and the
efforts being made for it, especially at the time of wars and
armed conflicts
This study aims at demonstrating how effective the training programs are from the viewpoint of the Company's trainees, to know nature of the relationship between the training program dimen-sions and the effectiveness of the training programs, besides
showing how IPA technology is used as a new management tool for dealing with the factors influencing the training programs effectiveness and to define the strategies to treat the training programs dimensions.
