Fine-grained temporal relation extraction (FineTempRel) aims to recognize the durations and timeline of event mentions in text. A missing part in the current deep learning models for FineTempRel is their failure to exploit the syntactic structures of the input sentences to enrich the representation vectors. In this work, we propose to fill this gap by introducing novel methods to integrate the syntactic structures into the deep learning models for FineTempRel. The proposed model focuses on two types of syntactic information from the dependency trees, i.e., the syntax-based importance scores for representation learning of the words and the syntactic connections to identify important context words for the event mentions. We also present two novel techniques to facilitate the knowledge transfer between the subtasks of FineTempRel, leading to a novel model with the state-of-the-art performance for this task.

The media in this sense communicates with the masses, which is the objective expression of the mentality , culture and spirit of society, which constitute the logical basis for this community. The media after the rapid technological development at the beginning of the twentieth century can be considered as science as the rest of science, which are linked with each other, through its general and specific theories, representing by measuring tools and scientific methods. Here lies the importance of this research, which deals with the relationship between the media and epistemology, and their participation in the analysis of the cognitive process and the production of the media content, since the epistemology is a higher level activity, the subject of it is the science itself, it is thinking about science. As we said above the media is a new science, and who controls this science and the operator of it is the journalist who deals all time with new information, as the media message or media content, is manufactured by a specialist. This intellectual cognitive process deserves to be stopped, especially as it corresponds to the scientific thinking that meant the epistemology of a critical study and analysis and discover its holdings and talk about its obstacles. This research also aims to overcome the cognitive obstacles that Bashaalar said, which suffers from every worker in the general knowledge of humanity, the scientific and media thinking in particular, and the scientific thinking of those which is based on the media process . In order to reach the scientific stage and beyond the non-scientific stage.
In this Thesis, we have studied, designed and implemented an energy and economic efficient smart plug system and achieves high rates of performance. At the beginning, a comprehensive reference studying the Smart Plug devices. The Smart Plug device was studied, designed and implemented using, which Turn-Off electrical loads in Standby mode to minimize power consumption. The status of all devices connected to the smart plug is shown on the computer display using smart monitor application. The design and implementation of Smart Plug system has saved 1.3% of the total energy consumed in the home per month while achieving economic feasibility and improving the cost of the economic return of the total consumers about 0.7% through the use of the smart plug that has been implemented.
In this essay we will study the using of OPC standard in adapting and removing the incompatibility between different components and devices in the control system . The OPC works as a third party that connect between devices (data sources) and progr ams that require this data , in case those programs may can't connect directly with that devices as a result of incompatibility between them. This incompatibility happens because these devices and programs are from different vendors or because the devices are very old and can't connect with newer programs. OPC will be a suitable solution for communications problems between the devices and programs in the control system, the OPC will connect to each of them and transfer data as good as if the connection between them is direct without any third party. The importance of this suggested technique will be shown practically in this essay through the implementation of it in solving one of the pumping control system problems in the Syrian Company for Oil Transport (SCOT). the suggestion was to use a OPC Server program (Kepware OPC Server) and a SCADA program ( WinCC flexible) instead of the old SCADA program and keep the old PLC devices , in this way we can get rid of the problems that appear in the old SCADA program and therefore we can ensure that the system will work as wanted with no problem. That will bring benefits to the company and results to high reliability in the work.
We present in this thesis a new structure that incorporates SDN with Vanets, and we make a meticulous study of routing mechanisms and their effects on security aspects. We also present a new security system that depends on public key infrastructure, and finally we demonstrate how to benefit from SDN in facing several security attacks and preaches, which are common in traditional Vanets, through number of security algorithms which allow deploying intrusion detection systems as a step towards self-healing and self-configuration system.

This thesis mainly discusses how to embed and transmit information in audio by making use of acoustic OFDM. Based on the theoretical systematic structure, it also modeled and simulated the system under different communication channels such as AWGN and Rayleigh fading, using the MATLAB software.
