Food safety and monitor of the contents of agricultural products are matters of great
importance for consumers, as a result of food awareness, public health and disease
prevention.
The aim of this study is to know the concentrations of some heavy
metals (lead -
cadmium - nickel - chromium), in some fodder plants (Trifolium ssp., Cynodon dactylon.,
Avena sativa L.), and the extent of its secreted in the milk of cows in the area of Banias on
the Syrian coast.
A study of chemical composition of woman's milk has been
made and compared with cow's milk in the province of Homs.
The findings of this study show that The total value of the solid
material in cow's milk is (12.26 ± 1.2%). It is approximately
eq
ual to woman 's milk content of the total solid material which
is (12.11 ± 0.09%).
The woman 's milk content of mineral elements is (02% ±
001%), while the cow's milk content is (0.71 ± 0.14%).
For the value of fatty material in the mother's milk, it is (3.5 ±
0.02%) and this is almost equal to cow's milk content of the
same material which is (3.4 ± 0.05%).
The cow's milk content of protein is equivalent to (2.92 ±
0.019%), whereas cow's milk content is equivalent to ( 1.25 ±
0.009%).
The value of calcium in the mother's milk is (32 ± 4.3 mg), and
this is significantly lower than the value of the calcium in cow's
milk, which is (118 ± 8.2 Mg/ kg).
the residual lead effect in cows milk was
studied in the Governant of Tartous. For this end,135 dairy cows in
different milking seasons and from three different farm stationes
(Zahed cow station,Cement factory farm station and Banias refinery
cow
station) were used.
The objective of the study was to accurately determine lead
concectrations in cows milk in the three different farms. Samples of
milk, soil, water and feedstuff were collected and lead concentration
was determined then statistically analyzed.
The project aims to establish a facility specialized in the production and propagation of potato seeds in agricultural fields in the Aqaba Governorate so that its production conforms to the conditions of potato circulation in Jordan according to the
local instructions related to the import and export of potatoes. So that certified varieties that are free of viral diseases, mold and wilt diseases are packed in clean bags of 25 kg capacity, and that is through the production of pre-base and base seeds and ending with the production of table potato seeds from the approved varieties in Jordan.
Based on the results of the financial analysis and considering the project’s internal rate of return higher than the discount rate, it was concluded that the idea of the investment project is convenient and economically feasible, as the net present value of the project is positive, which is 5 million Jordanian dinars, and the project also provides 17 job opportunities for the people of the region.
Due to the importance of food security in the Arab Countries in general and in Syria in particular, the agricultural policy in Syria has emphasized on exploiting all the energies and agricultural resources for the production and provision of food. He
nce came the thinking in producing poultry meat in the modern commercial sectors which are not much affected by natural factors and climatic conditions. They are characterized by their low prices and the fast capital turnover when producing them. They are one of the most types of meat that highly contain animal protein. This research aims to achieve the following objectives:
1- Analyzing production costs of table chicken in Lattakia Governorate.
2- Economic assessment for the production of table chicken in Lattakia Governorate.
The study conclusion shows the most important results reached by the research, and they are:
1- The annual net profit achieved in the farm (per dunum) amounted to /1059662.4/ Syrian Pounds.
2- The production efficiency for table chicken breeding in Lattakia Governorate amounted to /1.36/.
3- The total economic efficiency for table chicken breeding in Lattakia Governorate amounted to /1.53/.
