The experiment was carried out during2013-2014 Miaar Shaker village (Tartous) to determine the best method of irrigation on growth and productivity of Tomato plant in plastic green-house. Three method of irrigation were used in the experiment :(furro w surface , surface drip and subsurface drip irrigation). Growth of plants, productivity and fruit quality were studies. The results showed that surface and subsurface drip irrigation give more plant growth (leaves number and leaves area) more flowering and fruit production as compared with furrow irrigation method .The leaves number and leaves area in plant with surface drip irrigation was 31.49 leaves and 17078/plant while these number reached only to 22.91 leaves and 7057.86/plant in the furrow irrigation with significant difference . The productivity of plants was also higher in surface drip irrigation method(4.75 kg/ plant) without significant difference as compared with subsurface irrigation method and with significant difference as compared with furrow irrigation method (3.95 kg/ plant). The quality of fruits was better in surface drip irrigation (8.28% dry material ,5.02% TSS and 28.23mg vitamin c /100g) in fresh matter while these number were 7.18%, 4.98% and 20.96 mg/100g in furrow . The irrigation method haven't affect in the: plant length ,and acidity percentage.
This search was carried out in Abi Garash farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Damascus University to study the efficiency of using “Agerton” as a fertiliser; either by irrigation or a foliar spry on tomato seedling. Four varieties were used (Astona, Tyr ad, E26 and Local). Results showed that the treatment by the fertilizer resulted in an increase in growth thorough the plant length increasing. This increase was about 1.1 and 1.2 folds for all varieties and types of treatment (irrigation and foliar spry), as compared to the control. Moreover, the using of fertilizer led to a significant increase in the yield of plant, which increased by 1.2 and 1.5 in Astona; 1.2 and 1.4 in E26, 2.2 and 2.3 in Local and 1.5 and 2 in Tyrade, for the treatment of irrigation and foliar spry, respectively.
The research aims to study the effect of certain organic and amino compounds in the growth and production of tomato under green houses conditions.Hulay F1 hybrid tomato and two organic commercial vehicles differing in composition Hupost and Boldo uzerwere used. The experiment done in a way randomized complete blocks designed , with three replicates per treatment , and 10 plants per replicate . Seedlings WERE Prepared in beet moss using trays of Alstrepor inside the greenhouses.
The biological role of chitosan which was prepared by chemical method from shrimp waste Penaeus semisulcatus and the outer skeleton for marine crab Portunus pelagicus in some industrial and agricultural applications were studied. The concentration of prepared chitosan was 1% (w/v) at pH (4 and 8) for 12 hours in precipitation and chelating heavy metals (Lead, Zinc, Iron, Cupper and Cadmium) from of sewage water. Concentration of elements was measured by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer ) FAAS). The results of the study indicated that the concentration of the water elements was high before treated with chitosan. The results showed a significant (p<0.05) decrease in element concentration percentage after treated with crab chitosan. In contrast, shrimp chitosan displayed a minimum effect on decreasing the amount of heavy metals. Moreover, the results showed that the higher percentage for mineral adsorption was at pH (4 as compared with 8). The results confirmed the possibility of using chitosan in chelate and precipitate the mineral ions from polluted water.
This research has included quarterly and periodically physical and chemical analysis of treatment wastewater in the Latakia countryside during year 2011 by testing three treatment plants similar in the mechanism of action and distributed in three v illages (Happit, Al-Harah, Marg Moairban). This study has included the measurement of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and determination of nitrate, phosphate, sulfate, and chloride. In this research, potentiometric using Selective Electrodes ISEs, the Visible Spectrum, and the Turbidimetry methods were used. The results showed significant differences in concentrations of the studied ions between one station to another. The highest nitrate concentrations (228.33mg/l) were recorded in Happit treatment plant especially in summer, and the highest phosphate concentrations (41.81mg/l) were in Happit treatment plant in summer. Whilst the highest sulfate concentrations which ranged between (508.67– 1157.33)mg/l were in Al-Harah treatment plant at all seasons. The highest chloride concentrations (310.33mg/l) recorded in Happit treatment plant in summer. The statistical study has demonstrated and showed high and sometimes low correlation coefficient R2 so that gives clear indications about the sources of pollution.
