this research aims to detect the correlation between shyness ,and the five major personality factors among a sample of fourth –year students from the University of Al Furat where the number of members of the research sample were (150) students from the colleges of education in Al Hassakah, Der Eizor and ALRaqa , and tries identify the degree of shyness and identify the differences due to sex in all of shyness and the five major personality factors. The researcher used in his research two scales: the first is shyness scale by Hussein Dorrainy B.T(1999). The second is the five major personality factors by costa and Mc Crae(1992) ,and after testing the hypotheses was reached following results: 1- Students of the college of education have high shyness. 2- There is a positive correlation statistically significant at the 0.05 level between shyness and Neuroticism. 3- There is a negative correlation statistically significant at the 0.05 level between shyness and(Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness). 4- There are no differences due to sex in all of shyness and the five major personality factors(Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness).
The study aimed to reveal the nature of the correlation between the five big factors of personality and job performance, identifying the most influential personality factors in job performance, identifying the significance of the differences in th e five big factors of personality and career performance depending on gender variations, educational qualification, and occupational age. The sample consisted of 195 workers working in the governmental and official departments in Damascus countryside Governorate depending on the descriptive approach and using the five big factors of personality for Costa & McCrae (1992), Melhem Arabization (2009), and the job performance scale prepared by the researcher. Their validity and reliability were verified by using the appropriate scientific and statistical methods. The most important results:  The correlation between: neuroticism, extroversion, openness to experience, kindness, conscience awakening and functionality -0.319, 0.515, 0.427, 0.493, 0.512, respectively and are indicative of 0.01.  The results of multiple regression analysis showed that diastolic, neurotic, and conscientiousness contribute to job performance.  There is a correlation between years of experience, the five Big factors of personality and job performance.  There are no differences according to the educational qualification on the scale of the five big factors of personality and on the scale of job performance.
This study aims to: 1- Know the relationship between the crisis psychological hardness and identity crisis at a sample of Damascus University Students. 2- Check for differences in both psychological hardness and identity crisis, due to variables (gender-Class). Approach of the study: The Comparative correlation descriptive approach. And the sample of the study consists of (255) students from the Damascus University Students (144male, 111female) and they have been selected randomly. And the Results of the study were as follows: 1- There is no relationship statistically significant correlation between the degree of high school students on the scale of Psychological hardness and grades on a scale of identity crisis. 2- There are no significant statistical differences between mean scores of high school students on scale Psychological hardness due to the variable (gender). 3- There are significant statistical differences between mean scores of high school students on scale Psychological hardness due to the variable (Class). 4- There are significant statistical differences between mean scores of high school students on scale identity crisis due to the variable (gender). 5- There are no significant statistical differences between mean scores of high school students on scale identity crisis due to the variable (Class).
This research aimed to identify the relationship between the five big factors of personality and the martial parallel among a sample of chapels in Damascus, and to identify the differences inthe five big factors of personality and the martial paralle l according to gender and years of marriage. The sample consists of 300 chapels from Damascus, and the researcher used martial parallel questionnaire and between the five big factors of personality questionnaire to study the relationship between the two variables, and T student and person correlation was used. The findings showed that there is a relationship between the martial parallel and Extraversion, Conscientiousness, and Neuroticism, and there is no relationship between martial parallel and Agreeableness and Opennessto Experience, and there are differences inmartial parallel according to gender. However, there are no differences in martial parallel according to years of marriage, and there are differences infive big factors of personality exceptOpenness to Experience factor according to gender, and there are differences in five big factors of personality except Agreeableness factor according to years of marriage.
The research aimed to recognize the level of psychological pressures and its -sources amongst students at the college of education –University of Damascus and itsrelationship with students level of psychological stiffness amongst themthe research s ample has consisted of (843) male and female students which represent about (17%) of the study population, a total of the study has attained a set of findings, the most important of which are as follows: The level of psychological pressure amongst students of the college of education-was (79.85) and their average psychological stiffness was (81.41). The study has shown that there are significant statistical differences amongststudents of the college of education regarding the level of psychological pressureand psychological stiffness ascribed to the sex variable and in favor of malestudents. In other words, psychological pressures and psychological stiffness arehigher amongst male students compared to female students.. -The study has recommended many results.
