The aim of the research is to find out the usage reality of postgraduate students at Damascus University of digital libraries. In light of the variables:(Gender, Scientific major, getting training courses). The research methodology:A descriptive analyticalapproach. The researcher designed &prepared the research tool which is a questionnaire that was applied on a random sample consisting of (40) postgraduates (male & female) in different faculties of Damascus University. The study reached the following results: - There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level of (0,05)between the mean scores of postgraduate students in the faculties of Damascus University of the following variables: Concentration. -There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level of(0,05) between the mean scores of postgraduate students in the facultiesof Damascus University of the following variables: Gender. -There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level of (0,05)between the mean scores of postgraduate students in the colleges of Damascus University of the following variables: getting training courses.

This study aims at identifying the extent to which the postgraduate students in the
Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Damascus possess the skills of using
the computer by measuring their ability in using the computer according to

researcher used the descriptive analytical method, comprehensive inventory method for all
postgraduate students. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to the members of the
universe. Data had been analyzed with the help of SPSS programme, Likert quintuple scale
was also used to answer the questionnaire, in addition the test of averages and factor
analysis was applied. The result of data analysis showed that the dissatisfaction of
postgraduate students in the Department of Sociology on the reality of scientific research
in University, and that the services and facilities and financing of scientific research are the
most important factors from the perspective of postgraduate students in the Department of
Sociology.
The study deals with the beginning and development of the central
library in Damascus University and its departments. And it illuminates
the periodicals part, and its ability to fulfill the needs of Information
students in Damascus University, and
its role in supporting the scientific
research. It also reviews results of questionnaire performed by a
researcher to know the ability of periodicals in fulfilling the demands of
the information students in the university. It comes up to a set of results,
recommendations and suggestions.
